SunDoctors Skin Cancer Clinics Parramatta

I visit SunDoctors Skin Cancer to keep a check on any unwanted growths. Over the time I have been visiting SunDoctors I have had 2 melanomas removed. I continue to visit regularly to avoid any serious consequences of possible skin cancers. The SunDoctor clinic I visit is located in Parramatta on the corner of George and Church Streets.

Sun Doctors in Parramatta offers professional help in a caring environment where there is no pressure, with time for patients to ‘be heard. ’ It is nice to be listened to and Staff at Sun Doctors is efficient and accommodating without one feeling ‘pushed out the door! ’

I have been attending this practice for some time now and I find their care and service very professional.
Dr Ye Lin is a exceptional surgeon in cancer removal.
Dr Ajanthy Arulanantham is very professional in checking all over for many different skin cancers.
The reception staff have a very high degree of customer service.
My Dr M Jones is very caring and always gives you the correct advice

I waited 40 minutes in the waiting room and it wasn’t even busy. The Dr and nurse were chatting away and didn’t seem to care about me waiting that long. Just before I got called in, I said I actually need to leave in about 5 minutes… the receptionist said “oh he’s about to call you in”. I head on inside and the Dr says I’ll be quick and literally did the entire consult in less than 10 mins. They should have apologised and rebooked me for another day, and definitely not charged me for that! I paid full price for that experience. It was absolutely shocking service.

They made me late to my next appointment. Literally ruined my calendar for the afternoon making me wait. No consideration whatsoever. I’ll definitely never go back there.

Great clinic, Dr Marija Johns was really knowledgeable and makes you feel very comfortable.

Highly recommend SunDoctors Parramatta. The two doctors I have seen for checkups during the last few years are experienced and knowledgeable. I felt at ease and able to trust them. Will continue to attend here.

I went here in December 2022, it's a bad clinic.
Everyone was nice, and the place was clean. It was just NO good at skin checks at all.
The Doctor didn't use any usual tools like a Scanner or even Computer Analysis. Just a 5 minute look over with the naked eye. Then proceeded to ask me which marks I was suspicious of. I pointed out some glaring issues and they asked why I felt they needed to be inspected further.
This is a common trend I see in the scam clinics. They usually gaslight with a clever excuse like "you know your body's changes best, blah blah".
Another bad trend is exactly what happened next - they then asked me to book in a SECOND appointment to have some scrapings. Given they only spent a couple minutes checking: there was plenty of spare time. Clear signs that they don't have trained nurses+surgeons on the go; an easy way to double their fee and waste time.

IF YOU THINK THIS IS NORMAL: try another clinic, and be amazed when they quickly hone in on suspect areas without guidance and then after verifying it on the computer, will explain WHY they need to be scraped/removed asap.
If you think the $90 charge is acceptable: consider that they make you book the second appointment for the ACTUAL scraping etc, and then you have paid as much as a decent clinic with trained experts and computers.

I've been getting my skin checked at SunDoctors Parramatta for 6 years now and I highly recommend them. I usually see Dr Yin Le and, I have to say, I like his style. He's a fantastic doctor and a very skilled surgeon. He tells you everything you need to know and nothing that you don't. The reception staff are always very nice and the nurse who removed my stitches was very nice also.

Dr Marjia was great. Did a really good job with the BCC removal. I will definitely book in with her again, if or when required.

Very casual and disorganised, poor English by very large doctor. Was not welcoming, did not ask the reason for my visit.

My initial consultation was very painful when they took a sample of a small dark spot from me. It bled for two days. He scraped it so harshly that I didn't know whether he was doing his job or punishing me. It was hurting so much I had to be on pain killers. Never have I felt so uncomfortable with this doctors approach. He did not even make me feel welcome from the time I arrived.

I had scheduled another meeting to get the results of the sample and guess what happened.

I was told the courier lost my sample and now was asked that they had to remove the rest of it to be safe.and he wanted to do it there and then. I was so terrified and asked for 5 mins to think about this.

I asked how big was the scar going to be and he replied 1.5cms.so I agreed.

Well.the scar is 4cms and really dark.
They blamed the courier as a result of losing the sample taken from me initially.but I am sure this Doctor had some sort of issues and I was his victim experiment.

Please do not even think about going there unless you want a scar for life.

So upset.

My husband is been your patient for years now and im so grateful for looking after him through this years since he has melanoma. Yesterday he has another two operations again and so far his recovering very wellIm extremely grateful for looking after his skin through this years

I have been attending Sun Doctor's Parramatta for a number of years and I would highly recommend this clinic especially Dr Ajanthy Arulanantham. She is very kind and professional, explains everything well and puts you at ease with her pleasant nature. The receptionists are very polite and efficient.

Cost effective in comparison to a lot of other practices!
Great services and are able to do cyst removals.

I went in for a check up and I was seen by dr Lin Ye and following week I had a skin cancer taken out and got 12 stitches.having history of anxiety I have to say that dr Lin Ye and the nurse made me feel so comfortable and calm before and during the procedure and I did not feel a thing and they were both so calming and the best in every way. I would recommend it 100%. Also the lady in reception aswell. Exceptional manners and such nice people to deal with during a procedure. I have shared it on all my social media recommending everyone to go their as my experience was amazing. Even though I came out stitched up my recovery has been great and their support sensational. I am able to say that the care taken by Dr AJ is excellent. Very relaxed but professional manner. Very pleased to give a good review here.

My partner and I are young and the way Dr Ye spoke about my partners' spot and about it potentially being skin cancer was really traumatic. Telling him that its suspicious and that he will have to come back, then seconds later saying only come back if you receive a call. Then back-tracking saying but you will receive a call because it definitely looks like skin cancer. No reassurance, just contradictory information and then saying that it comes in stages and can travel to other areas, which just heightened the horrifying experience. Had to call up just to find out the biopsy was clear. Have a inkling they were only saying it definitely was suspicious and he would need a biopsy only because of COVID19 and they haven't been getting a lot of patients/income.seemed odd to scare us saying it is and should get a biopsy but then in the same sentence saying but only if you get a call to come back and then a second later saying "but you probably will get a call as it looks like skin cancer".

Hopeless. Tried clicking on the booking icon to book on line and it goes to a dead link with 404 page cannot be found. Who runs a medical practice with dead links off the website? Incompetent!

I visit sun doctors once a year for my annual skin check waiting room is always tidy the receptionists are polite and friendly.i've seen a few different drs at the clinic over the years and i have been happy with all of them i couldn't recommend sun doctors enough
