It's authentic but a bit bland. I prefer cart pushers instead of ordering from a menu. The food variety is better in the desserts than the mains. The quality of tea served is subpar compared to other places. Prices were average.

The worst yum cha ever in Campsie.

I have been to this restaurant for 2 times and to be honest, even with discount of 10% to 15 % in total bill, I am still unable to give good recommendation for food. Food there totally is not worth to wait and taste.

The last time, also the second time we came to Sun Ho was about few weeks ago. I know food is not good but itwas extremely hot and as our kids were playing in the park nearby, we decided to have dim sim one more time instead of going far away. We took a ticket and waited about 10 miutes to be called (
Then we ordered food (sticky rice, hard gow, dumpling, fried meat ball, prawn cheng fun.) on paper menu and it was quite quick, food were served. There is no more people pushing trolley around restaurant and asking customer to choose food anymore.

Food was steamed too hot and some were too cold, lack of flavors and bad smell. Bowls and spoons were dirty, still saw soapy bubble in one of the bowls.

When kindly making suggestions to duty manager about hygenie, she glanced at me and said: Hundred of people come here and no one say anything.

There is nothing worst than bad customer service as well as expensive unflavors food. The price goes up but service and food goes down.

Our go to place for Yumcha,
If you're expecting the trolley carts then you'll be disappointed, however Sunho does it better with made to order options.
Arrive before 10: 30-11 to avoid the lines.

Must order:
Sunho Signature Roll
Also great value if you're a member.

Great, authentic tasting food, really reminds me of the quality you would get in HK. Nice place to take your friends for an easy lunch. Good portion sizes and so much variety!

The service was a f$@king joke. The cashier gave me attitude and rolled her eyes when I stated 2 adults 1 toddler. Sat at our table and proceeded to mark our order, took a waitress 20 minutes to collect our order, then the fun and games began. We waited a total of 1 hour for our food, we noticed that others were receiving their food first compared to us and our son was screaming and it slipped our minds. Our time limit was almost up, so I went to the waitress and said where is our food we sat down at 11: 08am and now it’s 12: 18pm. They tried to cover it up and say it’s out the back. We had to wait another 10 minutes for our food to arrive. We noticed 12 out of the 13 items were stamped and by that time we had to leave. The waitress came with our last order and she said it’s here. Which I replied you had 2 hours for steamed beef noodles, we have to get it to go.

No apologies, no nothing. For $152.00! You’re better off going to Eight or The Dynasty.

Even speaking in Cantonese and English didn’t change their attitude. My wife who is Australian ask is this what it’s like in Hong Kong. I said no!

Don’t waste your money where!

If you want to know how it feels to be an asylum seeker, go no further.
The service is great if you don't like having any drinks served, no spoons, no napkins, no soy sauce or dipping sauce or enjoy communicating in English or Mandarin.
These racist waiters only communicate in their specific tongue and that is if they even register your existence.
Food wait times are also long and you will be waiting with parched throats.
And when we did manage to wrangle one of the waiters, she laughed at us for not being served tea yet.

Food was ok quality but not spectacular and nowhere near as tasty or well cooked as other yum cha places such as Burwood.
The fried calamari was not properly fried, soggy, and not even seasoned properly.
The fried footballs had low quality meat inside and tasted old.
The fired dough sticks were very doughy but at the same time too oily.

Eating out west especially in an RSL you get the expected larger portions of everything but for what you get the food is pretty much on one note and find myself in a rare situation where I'm not full but I'm also not volunteering to finish the remainder and my friends aren't asking for a takeaway box - overall it was bland and except for the glutinous rice football ham sui gok I wouldn't try this place again. And it's not particularly cheap either so it's not like the lack of flavour can be explained away by pricing.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sun Ho Yum Cha located in Campsie RSL, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

The food at Sun Ho Yum Cha is truly exceptional. The quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations, and each bite was bursting with authentic flavors. Whether it was the delicate dumplings, the succulent roasted meats, or the flavorful stir-fries, every dish was a delightful culinary journey. The chefs truly showcase their skill and passion for Chinese cuisine.

One thing that really impressed me was the generous serving size. The portions were ample, ensuring that no one would leave the restaurant feeling hungry. It's always a delight to enjoy a meal where you can savor every bite without worrying about running out too soon.

The restaurant boasts plenty of seating, making it suitable for both small and large groups. It's a comfortable and spacious environment, perfect for enjoying a meal with family, friends, or colleagues. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxing, adding to the overall positive dining experience.

As a member of Campsie RSL, I was thrilled to discover that I could enjoy a 20% discount on dining from Monday to Friday at Sun Ho Yum Cha. This added benefit is a great incentive to visit more often and indulge in the delicious offerings while saving some money.

Service at Sun Ho Yum Cha is prompt and efficient. The staff are attentive and ensure that you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. From taking orders to serving the dishes, they make sure that the entire dining experience is smooth and enjoyable.

For tea enthusiasts like myself, Sun Ho Yum Cha offers a great range of Chinese teas to choose from. Whether you prefer green tea, oolong, or something more unique, you'll find a perfect cup to complement your meal. It's a thoughtful addition that enhances the overall dining experience and adds an extra touch of authenticity.

Overall, I highly recommend Sun Ho Yum Cha at Campsie RSL. The friendly staff, excellent food quality, generous serving size, comfortable seating, member discounts, quick service, and delightful tea selection all contribute to an outstanding dining experience. Whether you're craving traditional yum cha or want to explore the flavors of Chinese cuisine, Sun Ho Yum Cha is the place to be.

RSL 內有一間粵式中菜茶樓,提供美味嘅港式點心。我哋兩大兩細,叫咗11份點心,盛惠A$117。

There is a Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant in RSL, which provides delicious Hong Kong-style dim sum. We have two adults and two kids, ordered 11 dishes of dim sum with total cost at A$117.

Went here for yum cha on a Saturday. It was busy (already a line up of people waiting) but the wait wasn't too long. The restaurant seems to have been renovated since the last time we've visited. Very spacious and nicely decorated.

The food is still amazing as before. Ordered the usual favourites - prawn rice noodle rolls, steamed chinese broccoli, brown beef tripe, chicken feet and sun ho molten lava bun (a must try!).

There's an order sheet on the table for you to order what you want and how many you want of each item. This kind of order system will easily make you over order as you wouldn't see how much you've ordered until all the food starts coming out. We definitely ordered more then we could eat. The amout of food that we had was very filling! Needed to have takeaway containers for the leftover food. NOTE: takeaway container is an extra 50 cents each.

One other thing that I've noticed was that there might have been a price increased. Just glad that the food quality is still the same as before

Super dirty and rude receptionist woman.
Hair in the porridge!
When I arrived, the staff led me to a table next to rubbish trays with leftovers.
After i refused to sit there, the receptionist woman asked me to wait outside the restaurant, although a few small tables are available. I was questioning about it, then she asked me to share table, but a lot small and big tables are available.

Later the porridge was served, short hair in the porridge. I have long hair, it is definitely not my hair.

I canceled the porridge but paid for the delivered food.

The receptionist woman gave me bad face.

Average yum cha quality, just 2 stars on food only. Service staff was not too bad. The seating was fine.

Not your traditional yum cha trolley type. You order off a list and then they bring it to you via a trolley.
The food was really nice and portion size was decent.
If you're going at 10am which is when the yum cha starts, there's not many people but the bar for soft drinks doesn't open until 1030.
When we left around 1130am, it was filling up but there was still few tables available.
If you sign up for membership, you can get 10% off your total yum cha cost at the end on weekends.
Most of the trolley ladies don't speak much English and can be at time pretty rude, but that's very similar to all other yum cha places, so not a huge shock but expect to ask twice for something as sometimes they do forget or don't really understand the inital request.
Bathrooms were clean and maintained.

Came for Yum cha but no Yum cha available. The foods were no taste, the foods in hospital even far better than here. Staff was EXTREMELY RUDE and don't know how to talk to customer properly. That's is unacceptable for the one who work in hospitality, no professional, untrained. Worst customer service ever experienced and never ever come back again. If there is no star option I would choose. But that 1 star for the lady on wheel chair in counter also a skinny old lady with short hair coz she always give warmly smile even she can't speak English well.

I like this place - the dinner set is not expensive and in generous portion. The taste is good too. I will definitely come back and try the yumcha as well ️

Overall a great place for yum cha with some of the dishes pretty awesome. The mainstays of chicken feet, prawn dumplings are as good as you can get. A few dishes didn’t live up to standard like the beed tendons. They didn’t look right. The major downside was the service. Like most places post covid they didn’t have enough workers however the ordering process is hit and miss.

Have to wait for 30min. For table, then 40 minute for food ordered. Staffs work hard not rude and unfriendly.

I didn't like this place when it was in Hurstville, but the move to Campsie RSL has resulted in better quality. Lines are long on weekends, so get in early. Also grab a Campsie RSL membership for $2.20 per year and get 10% off the bill on weekends and 20% off on weekdays.
