SUMI NAILS

Whilst a little difficult to find (go down to level 4) it is defining worth the effort. Sumi was so gentle with my nails - no drills, lovely salon with a very relaxing quiet vibe. Would highly recommend.

Great nail salon. This is the best manicure experience I have had and the staff are great and very kind. I really enjoyed the service and have never had my nails taken care of so well. The cuticle care was especially great, every other salon I’ve been to don’t really pay attention to my cuticles and it makes a huge difference in how long the nails last as well the look. Will definitely be coming back!

Really like what they did with my nails. I am surprised they charge me for gel removal even though I got a new set. Maybe it’s normal for Australia?

I came in for a pedicure without an appointment because they were conveniently located and the price was alright. There was only one other client in, and accepted my friend and I.

The nail technician was clumsy and at times, caused me pain. The chairs are uncomfortable, the tubs aren't stable, and they didn't use liners. I did see that they had sealed metal tools, but were reusing emery boards to file and buff my nails.

I got the Deluxe Pedicure, and it wasn't worth it. They weren't very thorough for $65.

The seats for the technicians aren't a good height for their work, and will cause long-term harm to their postures too.

I watched them clean the tub that my friend had used and again, they weren't very thorough. The technician scrubbed it with a simple sponge and cleaner, and then went straight back to working on a client's nails after barely washing her hands.

I wouldn't come back, but am grateful for their work.

Unfortunately I would not recommend. When I attended the salon to make a booking I specifically asked if this was a Japanese nail salon and the girl at reception said yes. I also requested an experienced manicurist which was agreed at the time of my booking. On the day of my appointment I was given a trainee manicurist, who was a lovely girl but the quality showed in my manicure (see photos). The next day one nail had the paint on the tip fall off, whilst two days later one nail had the entire colour fall off. It is important to note i work in an office so my hands are not exposed to anything that would damage the manicure more than standard wear and tear. Also when I was at the salon the girls did not use Japanese nail techniques. Very disappointed and not a Japanese nail salon like what I was after!

The best nail salon I have ever been to! Everyone is lovely and take their time to provide the best results. Nail art is gorgeous. Highly recommend!

The staff at sumi nails provides the best customer service ever! They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with their service. They also care about the health of their client’s nails compared to other non standard salons. Just after two appointments I definitely see an improvement in my overall nail health!

So happy with how my nails came out! The ladies working there are also so polite and gentle with how they handle you. Will definitely be coming back! ️

As someone who has not the prettiest feet from an intense amount of dancing the ladies here made me feel really comfortable and non-judgemental. Came in for ladipolish manicure and pedicure. Cannot recommend them enough. From being extremely clean, organised with an attention to detail I've not experienced before.

I determine whether a business is good by how they treat their staff, I believe happy staff = a great service.
Unfortunately this was not the case with sumi. While I was there I witnessed the store manager Miho train a new girl she was abusive and rude to the poor girl. The girl ended up crying it made my experience at the salon very uncomfortable.

The hygiene of the place was also not great. They DO NOT autoclave their tools! Don’t let them fool you with the individual packaged tools. I work with autoclaves and sterilising tools from my work and I can tell they only placed their tools in the blue bags without actually sterilising it. They reuse orange wood sticks which are single use disposable items as well. Mine had old polish stuck to the stick still.

The job they did on my nails was also not of high quality, the cuticle line was messy and jagged, the filing was bad none of my nails were the same shape and there was lint encapsulated in my nails despite the fact I didn’t move or use my phone throughout the service.

Overall this was a terrible experience and for the price it was not worth it at all. I always go to boutique nail places as I don’t mind spending more money for quality and unfortunately sumi is just another unhygienic chopshop

I have been visiting Miho at Sumi Nails for many years now and I am so impressed with Miho's nail art design, friendly demeanour and professionalism. Lovely nail salon! Very friendly staff. I had a lovely conversation with my nail tech and she gave me lots of advice on my nails. I will be back! The nail colour was beautiful and they lasted 4 weeks! Amazing. Would recommend

I haven’t been to a nail sail where the design work is done with such great precision that I was really happy with and it looks amazing! I definitely recommend coming in and trying out ladiposh. They also have a few nail art designs available for inspiration!

This nail salon is really clean and the staff are friendly. It wasn’t busy on the weekday afternoon I visited which was nice, and the lady giving me my pedicure was polite, friendly, gentle and thorough. I really like their ladiposh soft gel and they have a wide range of colours and designs to choose from! Really recommend this place, and I will definitely be back!

Absolutely excellent experience. Ombre design with decals turned out super cute. Removal of old polish and pushing back of cuticles was very gentle. Mia was great and worked with me to customise my design too. 10/10 would recommend!

I've been going to Sumi Nails since July of 2022, and it's been such a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly, attentive, and will always enquire about your nails in between appointments; taking on board any feedback.

I would definitely recommend Sumi Nails for anyone who is sick and tired of loud, pushy, busy nail salons.
