8Dear Stocklands Gables Development team. I have just had a look at the Gables sporting grounds plan. Kids need room to run around so the sooner it is completed the better. I have to say that in 2023 and beyond and from the perspective of a resident and high school teacher, that the proposed allowance for what appears the construction of 2 x tennis courts should be replaced with additional basket ball courts to further complement those already planned. One only needs to see what is being played in backyards and high schools today to understand the sporting shift to basketball by teenagers. FYI, most kids also only play half court and additional hoops on the side of courts is also popular in many schools to allow multiple children to simply shoot hoops. That said, I do like the concept of cricket nets which i believe will also be provided given the composition of the community in the Gables. Finally, when are the sporting fields, shops and lake area including walking path planned to be completed as well as the intersection solution at Fontata, Old Pitt Town Road and Terry Road - is it to be round-a-bout or lights? All the best. Updates on these matters to the community would be appreciated.
Overpriced tiny blocks of land with zero infrastructure and amenities. The road system surrounding the Gables is third world. Do not go near the house and land packages, you will regret it.
Stunning area, excited to see the community that is taking shape with state of the art facilities.

Initially they offered me a lot of land saying that its good to go
I spent my time for a two weeks getting plans from metricon and preparing loan etc.
In the meantime, I had other offers came from othe builders but since this was in GABLES I refused all the other good offers.
Then I went for the second appointment with all the drawings and other details, I was advised that the staff initially provided me wrong advice and I can't built a garage in that lot and she advised that she will get back to me but this has never happenned till now.
What a dissappointment!
Lost around 20 K by price hike as I believed this developer and rejected other offers.
Millions of money to have a service standard like this? And I didn't expect this from STOCKLAND.
I feel greatful now, as I did not fall in that GABLES TRAP. Its basically NOTHING other than a piece of.and a life full of LOAN.
We registered, waited, clicked within 30 seconds upon receiving the email and nope, didn't even secure an appointment. They just artificially create the hype and this false feel of demand (there's plenty of vacant lands however they only release 40 at a time when there's like 200 people waiting). This just feels as hopeless as many other things we tried to buy for the past few months, such as PS5, xbox series x, the RTX3080 Graphic card, you name it.
These guys run this land release click frenzy thingo at 3pm just to be allowed to book appointments to buy their lands. Possibly well inflated too. Utterly intransparent (who knows how they cherry pick those requests) and inefficient way they run business. Well we get the msg and will look elsewhere. Good bye Gables.

The Gables is a premium / exclusive suburb in The Hills. It's a / going to be a million dollar post code with quality houses, parks, town centre, schools and lake. I've never been so excited buying a house before. There's real community feel in The Gables. I can confidently say that people are going to fight to get into this new suburb in 10 years time! Get in there now if you can!
