Steersons Steakhouse reviews
66“Fremantle octopus” entrée for over $20 was simply 2 short, chewy, unremarkable-tasting tentacles. The term ‘unremarkable’ seems to apply to most dishes served here– nothing more than a tourist trap where diners pay more for the view than the food.
Quality of the steak is fantastic as it should be. Service really good considering it was a busy time of year.
The oysters are very fresh! The steak is delicious! Sourdough bread is also delicious! The fried rice on top of the fried mushrooms has a unique aroma! The only downside is that the vegetables are a single variety!
Beautiful room with attentive knowledgeable staff, awesome waterside views and excellent meals
Highly recommended
Lovely steak cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the Angus rib eye. The peas and carrots were also fantastic. I’ll be back
Unimpressed, bistro quality, mid-high end pricing.
I have read good reviews of the steakhouse and always thought this was a high end steakhouse. However, upon walking in, I already felt it was a bistro setting.
The quality of food was disappointing. The steak was no difference to a pub steak, in my opinion. It did not give that special charcoal steakhouse flavour at all. The steak was grilled dry and the meat did not have much flavour.
For a $60-$70 piece of steak, it was hugely disappointing. Honestly I had much better steak in other restaurants (not even a steakhouse) or even in a pub.
Will never return.
Nice place to stop. High price steak, good quality. But limited sides for the $$
Great location.
Sensational dining experience with sensational food. The 1kg t-bone was melt in your mouth excellence. The side dishes were of excellent quality and size and the desserts were something of a master creator. I highly recommend dining there.
Magnificent had the 300gram rib-eye with bearnaise sauce with jacket potato and greens absolutely done to perfection entree was the Pan-Fried Chorizo, Sherry Vinegar paired my steak with Howard Park Leston Cabernet Sauvignon. The views are awesome the staff are fantastic add this to your list.
Honestly the food is a 10 but the service is 100, the team serving on Wednesday the 14th of December were awesome and funny.
Upmarket place right on the water. Excellent food, cooked exactly as ordered. The main draw are the steaks but there are other items on the menu which are also great, such as the Beef Wellington. Large wine selection, also a couple of beers on tap. Great service. Lovely staff, all keeping very busy to make sure the whole experience is a good one. A tip would be to book online in advance to make sure you can get in, even during the week.
The cuts of beef and recommendations by the staff on both food and drink make this a must for both travelers and locals!
While red meat might be somewhat out of fashion, Steersons Steakhouse is a reminder of what an exceptional steak restaurant can really be. With a wide selection of quality meats cooked precisely to order, there is a dish for everyone - including those who prefer seafood.
The oysters, as an example, are fresh and tasty without being overdressed. The wine list has a variety of good local and international wines and plenty of choices for whiskey drinkers. Maybe a few extra craft beer choices would be appreciated - a minor issue in a restaurant highly recommended for anyone that wants an exceptional quality dining experience.
We had four different kinds of steak between the four of us, each above $60. All were substandard - tough, with white ligaments. You’d expect that in a country pub at $10 per steak. The serve of chips was tiny. The only thing that gave any pleasure was a $70 bottle of wine ($27 from a local bottle shop), the rest was rubbish.
The steaks, while good, were almost cold when served, for everyone in our group of 12. The waiter who served us was more interested in chatting than serving. It appeared to me they may be understaffed, like so many businesses in Aus. Which makes it more important for the wait staff to remain busy and share the load.
Food was only out-shined by he service, which was impeccable. A great venue for date night, friends reuniting, and for a business dinner. I've been once, and I'm certain to go back.
I ordered the eye fillet, it was so delicious and it was so tender. The bone marrow side was really good too. There was also a really big selection of drinks. The steaks were all just really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can't wait to come back.
Steaks were awesome.
The service we had from Brice was absolutely outstanding.
His choice of wines was spot on.
Very recommended.
Great place. Not cheap but lovely atmosphere. Staff are knowledgeable abd courteous. Food is great.
We have ordered 3 rump steaks, and they are too bitter. The surface is completely burnt (Note: steaks we ordered are BLUE). Yep, I know, I know it is completely not good for health, burnt food even have potential to cause cancers. We asked the manager to take them back and serve us with some ‘normal taste’ steak, but he told us that steaks are completely normal. We felt quite guilty to be honest, since 3 steaks are not cheap. However when new steaks are here, they taste like they has been falling into a sea. They are wayyyyyy too salty.
At the end, even we don’t have to pay for those steaks, we didn’t hear a single apology from any of their staff.
Yep, so one star! You deserve it STEERSON
