11 Needed documents sent urgently from Wagga to Perth for visa purposes. Paid for next day and they decided to put it through road (even though we paid $105 for next day and the document was marked as urgent).
So instead of a couple days, it took 12. Absolute scandal - it’s put us in a very difficult position where my parents will need to pay for plane tickets to leave the country and re-enter in order to not be unlawful as the paper application would have been done in time with overnight but not through road.
We will be chasing for compensation.
The delivery truck was heard to travel past the address for delivery and did not stop. The recipient was at home, contrary to what the driver has stated and NO courtesy card was left in the letter box. North Wagga delivery in McPherson Street 8th November, 2022.
I would like to say thank you to the staff that delivered my parcel today, he provided an outstanding service! I was not at home this morning, he followed the instructions to leave the parcel at a safe place, so he moved all my bins to cover it! I really appreciated that
The team in Wagga are lovely. And this is not related specifically to them.
We strongly suggest TNT/FedEx. Startrack are incredibly slow, have really poor customer service skills (not the Wagga branch), and introduce 'phantom' charges. We were quoted a charge of $80 by Startrack, and then were billed $160, with 'manual handling charges' added ($30). We reviewed the classification for manual handling and there was nothing remotely related.
We have heard plenty of horror stories like this as well.
TNT/FedEx always go over and above with updates and problem solving. They don't have phantom charges and on average they arrive at least 5-10 business days before Startrack/Australia Post. Other alternatives are TOLL, DHL or other local couriers. None of the alternatives have ever lost a shipment of ours, and the times we have been forced to use Startrack, they lose about 10%. About half of them are recovered, but the other half turns into our problem not theirs. Pretty disappointing.
Hopefully this saves someone the issues we've had.
The service is impossible to deal with other freight comapanies are easy to deal with make a different selection
Have been expecting an item from Optus that was sent via EXPRESS (keyword there) post. Item entered their system in Sydney on Friday 24th September, sat there for a week saying it was on it's way here (estimated delivery being the following Monday). It is now Friday 1st October and the item has been scanned again back in Sydney! This isn't a big item, probably it's just a padded envelope.
When we tried contacting Startrack their response was essentially "You have to contact Optus, we can't do anything about it. " Pathetic. There is no excuse for an apparent EXPRESS POST item to take over a week, even with the Covid. And especially when I managed to send a large parcel with regular speed post (through Australia post) and it got from southern NSW to Indooroopilly in QLD in 3 days.
Returned parcel to sender because address is allegedly incorrect (across the road from their depot) - not even a phone call to double-check the address. Pathetic service
Regrettably, a poor experience here, except for one customer agent I spoke with today who was friendly and apologized. Seemingly poor communication, twice missed delivery (one time card left while we were at home, second time it did not even leave the depot). Hopefully I will get package tomorrow.
Delivery man did not check any details when my parcel was delivered, and then I received a text stating
"Your parcel was delivered today. As the premises were unattended your parcel has been left as instructed. Do not reply"
We were here and accepted delivery. Tried to call Startrack about this but there is no way of speaking with a person. Not a good experience at all, and leaves me with a feeling of mistrust about the company.
Completely useless. Will not deliver to the stated address left it a post office 200kms away from me.
