Star Car Wash

Paid $70 for a platinum wash on my XV. That was supposed to include a clean of the boot, wipe out of door jams and dash and armrests etc.picked car up a few hours later as I had an appointment out west. Paid and came back later to get my car. Didn’t have time to check the job but wish I did. The interior still had debris on the carpet that was missed. Dust still on armrests in front seat area and boot clearly hadn’t been vacuumed. I’m usually someone who does the car myself and have been a loyal customer of starwash for many years on the odd occasion that I get those guys to do it. Won’t be back though. Really disappointed - $70 was a rip off for the job that was done.

I had needed only an inside clean of all the mess my kids made. The team at Star car wash did an amazing job in a short amount of time that they had, even cleaned the baby car seat, as well as the seat tracks, which other car wash places leave out when vacuuming the floor.
I’ve used their services many times in the past and will continue coming here as a happy repeat customer.

Do not wash your Car here. Total RIP OFF $85 and not even cleaned. Had to go get it cleaned again elsewhere!

The van we still extremely dirty inside. Ask to be cleaned. Still coffee spilt stains.

Alright, brace yourself for this one, folks. Strap in as I recount my thrilling adventure at Star Car Wash. Now, let's not get too starry-eyed here – this place left me feeling like I'd been in a galaxy far, far away from good service. You know what the funny thing is, I'd have gone for 4 stars if the operator had a better demeanour and attitude. Alas.

So, I figured I'd go all out and book their fancy-schmancy 'Interior Detail' service, complete with a Platinum exterior wash. I had high hopes, but those hopes got washed away faster than soap suds in a rainstorm.

Now, to give credit where it's due, they did a pretty decent job on the interior. Kudos for that. But when it came to the exterior, well, let's just say they must've been too busy dreaming to focus on the actual washing. My car ended up looking like it had been through a meteor shower of water streaks and bird poop. And that alleged "tree sap" spot on the windshield? Yeah, turns out I'm a better sap remover than their so-called professionals – and they even handed me the tools to prove it!

And let's talk about those wheels – you know, the ones that were supposed to shine like they were sprinkled with stardust? Well, they were still grimy enough to make you wonder if they had taken a mud bath instead.

Now, here's where the plot takes an interesting twist. I'd already paid for the service online, thinking I had sealed the deal. But oh no, that wasn't the grand finale of this comedy show. Upon arrival, Mr. Operator decides to tell me, "Hey, your wallet ain't light enough yet! You owe us more. " Sorry, pal, but that's not how it works. You promised a price, and I ain't paying extra. "

And if you're curious about their customer service, well, let's just say I could feel their enthusiasm radiating as they handed me a spray bottle and a cloth to tackle their own mess. I guess they were just trying to show me that I should've enrolled in their "Super Scrubbing 101" course if I wanted to remove a white spot.

All in all, my visit to Star Car Wash was a space odyssey I won't be taking again. They might have "star" in their name, but the only thing shining here was their ability to make excuses. Beam me up, Scotty, anywhere but here!

Slightly disappointed after paying $109 for a detailing service consisting of, car hand wash, interior vaccum clean & exterior hand waxed & polished.
Had to get the owner to rewax & repolish the bonnet, as there were swirl marks left on it. In his defence, he promptly addressed the situation & fixed it. But as the business location is in a underground car park without enough light & the cars are parked tightly between other cars, to inspect properly after it's finished, is difficult. As such, I missed a few other things. No wax whatsoever on the roof of the car, I believe. Mag wheels left with brake dust, even after being washed & supposedly cleaned thoroughly. Door handles left with long downwards stops if unpolished wax & Worst of all, found out next day that the rear right passenger door card cover material, had been either vaccumed or scrubbed cleaned so hard, that it unglued itself, became loose & left like that. No explanation, no trying to fix it, nothing. Granted, I only discovered it later next day & made no complaint on it. But for a $109 'detail service', the return product is pretty lacklustre at best. Won't be going back. Don't recommend.

Guy comes out with a torch and “inspects” the footwells and inside. $72 starting price for an SUV. Because your car is dirty, it will cost extra? !? !
1) it was pretty clean for a dirty car. I would say the floor mats had some dried grass from getting in and out of the car. The seats were spotless. And the doors had dust since the last clean.
2) I chose the wash that includes inside and out. You’d expect that for $72 right
3) who brings a totally clean car to a car wash?

Rocked up. Asked for a simple in and out wash. The 59 dollar pack.
The first guy looked in and out like he was looking for something? And then proceeded to state the car needed a polish, recommending the 99 dollar pack, i Politely declined.it’s just an old car that’s been sitting in the one spot for months and it’s just accumulated layers of dirt.
Old mate proceeds to tell us to wait and hands off to what looks like to be the owner/manager? And then he also tells us it needs a polish pointing at the paint, to which I show him it’s just dust that needs to be washed off by rubbing it with my finger.

Needless to say we said just the 59 dollar one would be fine again. At this point it’s maybe the 3-4th time we said no and dispite he was relentless.

Old mate was so eagerly keen on up selling. He was not even asking. He was telling me.

Ended up driving away.

Tried to push their $59 wash up to $74 by saying their was “too much sand” which is not the case.

Had the car washed 2 weeks ago. Do they want the car to be clean before you take it to them to be cleaned?

Explain very clearly what the car needs bit expensive but it’s worth love to use Birkenhead point star car wash again highly recommended thanks

Wow. These guys did an amazing job and my car was in quite the state from outdoors and pets. The finish was better than I have seem from any other provider and I highly recommend you take your car to Star at Birkenhead Point carpark. Thankyou team!

Terrible customer service. Rude owner makes up prices on the spot and then is aggressive if any questions are asked.

I was very happy with the cleaning job they did for my car. My car’s black spot which couldn’t remove with auto car wash even the top tier.

Car was bot cleaned properly inside.even dash board got lost of marks.as my car is few month okd should have left my car dirty like that as u paid $30 as a extra.

This business is running by a lovely family. Everyone are very friendly and working very hard to make sure customers are satisfied.

Really excellent service, care and concern for my car. I'll be using STAR Car Wash at Birkenhead Point from now on. Best in the inner west, for sure. (SYDNEY)
