Beautiful church and mass
But I got asked one time during weekday mass from a priest with tanned skin if I was Catholic while receiving Holy communion.
I was quite offended until to this day that I feel intimated to receive holy communion there again
But it's okay Jesus was judged too.
I understand it's just policy
Perhaps it's better to close the doors to tourists during mass times and re open again once mass has finished.

An extraordinary building, very grand on the outside, very solemn on the inside, and in a word, very beautiful.

A very solemn and majestic church. You can sit here and forget about the hustle and bustle of the world for a while.

One of the most beautiful church ive visited. Please talk on a lowered bolume as i have noticed some tourist just chatted like they were in a fish market. Free tour suring sundays. Plave is well maintained. Beautiful artworks adorned the church. Pipe organ was playing at the time of my visit but im not sure if it plays regularly. Tip: if you wanna visit the crypt, enter on the right side of the main door, and youll see a stair that goes down. Bought myself rosary from their shop. Staff was very helpful.

Catholics will be pleased to discover that the Cathedral offers confession and holds daily Mass services. However, one drawback is that during Mass, some individuals may unknowingly walk through the church, causing distractions for worshippers.

It's the mother church for Catholics in Australia. It's an amazing place of worship, beautiful architecture and many works of art. The choir is the oldest musical institution in Australia

The structure is magnificent. Lots of people are visiting the area day and night. During December, there is light show in front of the church. Huge area in front for the spectators, there are also some food stalls in the area. The inside of the church is super nice and you can snap a photos too. This is a must when visiting Sydney. It is very near also to Hyde Park where you can enjoy walking and green scenery. Very near also to bus station and train station. If you want to walk, you can stroll in different streets within the vicinity and I'm sure you will equally enjoy the views. Visit during the day and evening to see the real beauty of the structure.

A beautiful Cathedral that is impressive, the architecture is amazing. It’s peaceful a wonderful place to pray.

The wedding guests tend to overrun the area, making walking or standing difficult in even the designated public areas.

Love this place. Haven't been to a mass for a while, however, brought th ewhole family for many months. Great history, good services, great place. Really love St Mary's. Great Cathedral. Wonderful place!
