St Luke's Aged Care / Lulworth House

Lullworth House is doing its best to deal with a difficult situation in Covid. But it treats my relative like a prisoner. They can’t even walk down to reception as they are confined to their floor unless organised with staff. When NSW covid restrictions lifted in December 2021, Lullworth did not change its ban on covid unvaccinated visiting even though a negative covid test within the past 24 hours makes them LESS likely to have or spread the virus than the vaccinated staff who are not tested, since the vaccines do not prevent transmission especially of the new strains. This means family members have been unable to see their loved ones in Lulworth or take them out since they were admitted, and for no practical reason since with a fresh negative test they cannot possibly spread covid as they don’t have it. My experience has been that the standard of care is high but the place is over-regulated in a way that is destructive of familial relationships - it is too restrictive when it comes to the ability of unvaccinated people with a negative covid test who don't have covid to visit. They are no threat. The threat comes from untested vaccinated people.

UPDATE: on December 24 Lulworth House started testing the vaccinated staff. Three were positive. There is now an outbreak they are doing their best to contain. Omicron is mild and everyone inside is vaccinated so best of luck, we wish them well and a speedy recovery, noting that vaccination does not stop the spread.

Very experienced staff. Extremely caring and supportive. Very clean and sunny. Best home in Sydney.

Clean and peaceful. Centrally located near Sydney CBD. Easy pickup and drop off. Not a lot of parking on street.

Lulworth House is more like a retreat or spa than an aged care home. It has very friendly staff and excellent care. We would definitely recommend Lulworth for anyone looking at aged care.

My mother loves this place, she says it is like the cruise that she never got to take. A big thank you to the entire team for their effort and kindness.

As far as age care facilities go this one is pretty good. Most of the staff are on the ball and caring. Just the odd staff that doesn't really care. The admin staff are awesome. Can recommend this place.
