Spotlight Tuggerah reviews
53First time at the Tuggerah Spotlight store since they have renovated. The layout of the store now is much better and the space feels a lot more open. Staff were very helpful and as usual I found more than I needed!
Today a very lovely young lady name of SAM was very polite and helpful, went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for, Glitter, she made me one happy customer, thank you for your help above and beyond,
The store has huge variety of products and I use it quite often - but staff there (well, at least in this occasion) was unhelpful and couldn't careless...
I personally love spotlight, it always has good sales and is definitely worth signing up as a member. But the staff there are extremely unhelpful and lack basic customer service skills. I have only had one amazing experience there with one staff member who was an absolute sweetheart and genuinely seemed interested in helping me out with enquiries. However, one particular staff member Wendy was completely and unnecessarily rude and offered no help whatsoever. As a young girl doing her textiles major for her HSC I make regular visits to spotlight and honestly find the experience not one that I look forward to.
Always love coming to Spotlight but sometimes have trouble finding specific items I'm looking for
Good layout and organisation, they had a lot to offer in way of ranges.
Minimal staff though and was hard to find someone to assist with enquiries.
Great range of products. Service.nil.
I had a roll of fabric. 30 metres.cost over $300. Put it on the counter and waited, waited, waited some more.was so frustrated, I left it there and walked out.
Once again I go to spotlight and the signage is misleading - when your sign says all rugs 40% off and the signs is next to the rug then this is what I expect. I get to the counter and am told it doesn’t apply to this rug.
3rd time something like this has happened at this store.
Spotlight get your signage in order and actually deliver on what you advertise.
Had a bad experience at this store concerning an empty pallet that I tripped over.had no follow up to see if I was OK.should of sued them.
A smart new store. For me anyway, I hadn't been to Tuggerah for quite a while. Very well organised and better defined sections.
Items not priced, shelves without ticket prices. Staff standing around talking reluctant to help. Sent us to a pricing station that wasn't working. The only good thing about being in the store was the young girl Amy on checkouts who was very pleasant and friendly to us as we were leaving. Other staff need to take a page from her book on customer service.
Huge range of yarns and their mill end bins are definitely worth checking out if you want to try your luck finding something extra special for a great price.
The store itself is great, amazing range of products. My complaint is against the staff front of store with click and collect, I was asked if I was vaccinated I said No as I have a medical reason not to and didn't want to enter the store, the lady gets on her walkie talkie and says bluntly "Staff member to front of store. Unvaccinated" this made me feel very uncomfortable and felt it was unnecessary.
Calling staff to front of store is enough, pointing out unvaccinated is appalling with intention to single out and divide.
Rare occasion for them to answer the phone. Hard to find staff to help when in store. There's no one in a lot of departments so often I find they have no idea what they're recommending (I've wasted money on buying products they've recommended for them not to work in my situation) Now they are only doing $30 minimum for click and collect but customers aren't able to go in store. I want to purchase something for $20 so will need to waste $10 to pick it up.
Usually when i deal with staff, its a pleasurable experience. Whenever i have to muster up the courage to call or go to spotlight, I'm greeted with a lack of service, care or compassion. There seems to be no professionalism or customer service and when there is, its like I'm asking the world. I have dealt with one good employee at this store and he was new. Either raise your employee standards or get new staff, this is absolutely appalling.
I must add, during these hard times with covid, itd be nice to buy all the paints available in store, sadly, the website doesn't provide you with a selection comparable to the store, but dont worry, if you call the store, you'll get treated rudely and the call will be ended as soon as the employee can manage.
Clearly customer service is no longer a priority whilst the doors are shut and the store is operating as click and collect only.
I called at midday today (30/07/21) to try and obtain some information on my click and collect order and was handled over the phone with a very unhelpful, uninformed and very disinterested staff member
Thanks for nothing!
Frustrating at the Check out in Spotlight. Waited a long time to receive attention and pay for items/purchases. 0 of of 10.
Space is a bit tight and layout confusing.trolley system is poor as the trolley return bays are for all stores and not all use a coin.
The queuing at the Fabric/quilting area needs to be better organised.it's hard to see where you are in line (2 areas) when lined up between fabric shelves.
You may be waiting for a while behind a person getting served in one line.when someone in the other isle steps up and gets served by the other cashier, when you have been waiting the longest in the other isle.
The ladies serving are terrific and very helpful.
I really think the ''Take a number works better''.
Regards, Jenny.
Spotlight is very good usually but you have to make sure they charge the same as it's ticketed because a $10 Bennie special was charged as $29.99 big difference & it's not the first time Special Price wasn't & I'd have to make a special trip back there
