Spit bridge reviews
14Iconic bridge. Sometimes lifts to let boats through causing delays but nobody cares because no one is in a hurry to leave the paradise of the northern beaches.
A very interesting bridge. It's a beautiful spot if you don't need to go anywhere. But this is the only bridge joining the Manly area to the city. It's the source of traffic jams twice a day. It's part of the reason the northern beaches are isolated from the rest of Sydney. Can it every be improved? Decades of having only two roads into the northern beaches probably show the government do not want to fix this.
This bridge serves as a draw bridge to keep the hordes of the south from crossing into the Northern Beaches. The bridge is lowered a few times a day to allow residents to cross.
I do the Fisher Bay walk Spit Bridge to Clontarf at least 4 time a week and love it. Beautiful Australia
Spit Bridge to Manly walk. Better to take public transport as parking is hard to find on weekends and expensive.
Excellent bridge - amazing utility both to let watercraft past and also to block off part of the Northern Beaches from the CBD and beyond.
Located at the Middle Harbour, this Steel and Concrete Bridge is a very crucial infrastructure for commuters travelling between Sydney's Central District and Northern Beaches. It is often the Traffic Bottleneck for this very beautiful region. One photo attached.
Definitely a place to go, to see, beautiful visual, restaurants, coffees, while there go to enjoy Clontarf beach! Peaceful place, idea for families and kids!
I have been there for three times for a scenic coastal walk to Manly. It is one of my favourite bushwalking routes.
Gateway to Sydney's northern beaches. Always check for bridge opening times when travelling this way.
I love coming down to the spit. The scenery and views are spectacular! The park lands and water with all the boats and beautiful house on the cliffs make for some peaceful viewing. I also like watching the bridge go up and down. Its amazing that such a large heavy structure can do it with such ease
The bridge which joins Sydney’s North Shore to the Northern Beaches which provides views across to Clontarf and the marina or to the opposite site towards Pittwater.
There aren’t too many bridges that will open up for the yachts to pass in Sydney and so you should check opening times before if you’re in a rush.
Great views, sensational area for boating and fishing. Good restaurants and plenty of (paid) parking either side. Traffic can be hectic, but hey:)
If you are on your way to Manly you are better off jumping off the bridge.it will be way more exciting.
