Thank you so, so much to all the wonderful staff at Spicers who made our stay so special. Staff can really influence the way a holiday feels- and these guys really elevate the whole experience. We are very appreciative of the kindness and personalised service we experienced.
We only stayed for one night but have left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. There is absolutely no reason to leave the hotel as the food and service is outstanding! We have already recommended it to our families and can’t wait to return ourselves. A very luxurious and memorable stay. See you next time!:)

Beautiful weekend stay, very relaxing, perfect spot for exploring the area or just to stay and enjoy the hotel views, pool and restaurant.

Our son and his new bride booked this venue for their wedding. It was wonderful. Beautiful grounds, privacy from other groups. Walking tracks, pool and spa, lounge areas. Modern rooms tastefully decorated. The food package for the wedding was impressive. Lots of food and great variety. No fear of anyone being hungry. The wedding space was changed because of the wet weather and was beautiful. Reception area for the wedding allowed guests to be inside or outside. The staff are a feature of this Guesthouse. They are a great team who are there to ensure guests enjoy the celebration. After the wedding finished, guests were able to continue celebrating around a fire pit that was away from guest rooms so they weren't disturbed.

We had our wedding at Spicers and were over the moon with how everything turned out. We had everything onsite, and all of our guests stayed onsite too which made for a really intimate day. The wedding was perfect - Maisie did a phenomenal job and ensured everything ran smoothly and kept our vendors all on track, the venue itself is gorgeous and no pictures can do it justice. The rooms are very clean, modern and spacious and the food was an absolute hit. I couldn't recommend them more for functions or a stay!

Spicers Guesthouse in Pokolbin is your ultimate relaxing getaway. The rooms and the grounds are immaculate. Staff and services are personalized and excellent. It is an amazing experience every single time we stay there. I can highly recommend Spicers Guesthouse.

We have stayed at quite a few resorts in the Hunter this is really the most dissapointed to us. Very small rooms nice surroundings, foyer and bar.

The whole hotel is magnificent. Excellent design through out. The evening meal was wonderful

What a place So welcoming and friendly specially to our little Mojeh Staff treated my dog like a baby pampering her with a little bed, water bowl and toys to play with ️ This place is definitely going to be our getaway home moving forward. Thank you @spicersguesthouse

We come to visit here twice every time when we visit is very nice and feels very comfortable, the place is super clean. We will come to visit again for sure.

Lovely place to stay, quiet, beautiful grounds.  Staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms are exceptional clean, very good Amenities.
The bed was quite comfy as well. It was nice to have warm water in the waterpool. Will definitely be visiting again on my next trip to the Hunter Valley.

Outstanding service and accomodation. The entire place is well maintained. Thank you for the hand written anniversary note and chocolates on arrival in our room. The kangaroos amongst the garden while having breakfast was an amazing experience. When visiting the hunter region, this is a must experience!

An amazing place to stay! Our room was cosy, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and it was lovely to sit outside in the morning with a coffee watching the kangaroos graze nearby. The pool is lovely and the grounds are a wonderful place for a relaxing walk.

Spent 3 very enjoyable days at Spicers. Great location, service and food with very helpful staff.

Stayed here for two nights, I normally don't write reviews but I must say how friendly the staff are here, especially anna. A true asset to this place, went out of her way to ask how we were and was very bubbly and professional.

Excellent facilities, friendly and efficient staff. Great place to stay and relax close to all the wineries.

Beautiful place and lovely rooms - However a lady at the front desk was not welcoming at all which was a shame.

This is one of our favourite places to stay when in the hunter region.
We recently spent 3 nights here for our babymoon and everything was lovely. The room, the delicious included breakfast, the restaurant service and attentiveness; all terrific as always. The only one thing that was niggling us was when we first arrived on the Monday, we were greeted at reception with about the same amount of cold that was in the surrounding outside air. Not sure why the 2 women at the counter were so uptight; perhaps it was something to do with having to cater for a large group that week. From personal experience working In hospitality, first impressions count. If that had been our first ever visit to spicers, we probably would never have returned. All customers should feel welcome upon entering to check-in. That was the only unfortunate element of our stay. Apart from this, we highly recommend this lovely hotel and will be happy to return.

Spicers Guesthouse today informed us they are charging us 10% fee of our booking on a large group booking when we informed them we can not travel into NSW due to COVID restrictions. They only had the booking for a couple of weeks too.

So many companies have shown wonderful flexibility and class in the face of this pandemic whilst others handle themselves in a way that will have customers vote with their feet walking in the other direction.
