Had to visit it due to the hype. This place did not let us down we ordered the set menu and it was sooo much food for how much we paid and it was amazing with every bite. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat!
Left with our bellies so full we couldn’t walk.

Great gluten free food and friendly service. The staff are always willing to adapt dishes for our coeliac child.

Possibly the best restaurant in Forster. Certainly our favourite. The food is always first class, the service is faultless and it’s always such a relaxed vibe. And if you get there at the right time, the sunsets over Wallis Lake are epic! The perfect place for any occasion. We been there for birthdays, anniversary and to show off our town to guests. 5 stars!

Again, my wife and I had another fantastic meal here. The food is always so delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants amazing flavours and great cocktails.

I find it hard to review Spice Monkey, because every time I come here there's new things on the menu which replace my previous favourites. I still rate the tempura prawns and kangaroo tataki on the top of the list, but now they're joined by the gin and cucumber cured kingfish with the steamed crab and scallop wontons a close second.
Oh, and I've just realised they serve affogato with frangelico. Don't know how I missed that.

Awsome food and value for money.can't remember the last time I had such a satisfying feeling when leaving a restaurant. I highly recommend it

Came here on a Wednesday for dinner.

The place starts to get packed at around 6 PM. When the restaurant is filled, the temperature inside feels like an oven, since there’s only a few fans spinning on low and no air conditioning.

The food is ok… but way overpriced.
$40 for fried rice is a joke…

The place definitely has great views at the front, but it felt so much better outside the restaurant than inside. The breeze from outside helped us cool down from the humidity inside the restaurant!

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Asian fusion. Great staff who are happy to check and accommodate allergies etc. Not cheap but solid option. Great view of the water if at the front.

We are two couples visiting the area.
We thought the new menu that had very recently been introduced was stunning. The service was excellent and the staff were a great team of young people that were very attentive and genuinely gorgeous people. An absolute pleasure to dine here.

A great location opposite the lake. Best tables face the lake, on bad weather days.clear blinds drop down to protect diners from the rain, but keeps the view, a good idea.

Inside- lots of hard surfaces and no soft furnishings make acoustics unnecessarily loud.

Food is expensive for what you get, and a huge delay between courses when they weren't busy.

Service is very meh, staff seemed indifferent to everything, didn't seem to go out of their way to welcome or update on very delayed mains.

Not uncommon for this venue to be booked out in peak times. Reserve a table well I'm advance if you have a preferred day/time to dine.

90 min happy hour is good value for a mid afternoon appertivo.

It's a marquee venue in town. Perfect location and great dishes its like something u would get in Sydney. Gets busy. The cocktails are brilliant.

The Korean chicken wings were absolutely amazing. The coconut margarita was really nice and the service was great.
Absolutely must book in advance. It was super busy the night I was there and we almost didn’t get in. Will definitely book again. Loved it.

Nice place I myself didn't relate to a lot of what was on the menu but what I had was very enjoyable. Staff were great and very patient

Waitress didn't write down order, completely forgot the kid's meals and then whenwe asked about where our food was after 40 mins waiting, it still took them another 25 mins to bring out the kids food and only one of our small dishes. All the other tables had gotten food even those who'd come after us. Another friend has had the same problem. Just write orders down!

Staff were so friendly and attentive and always checking on every table if they needed any help would highly recommend to anyone

Great meal. The Bao Burger was the hero of the evening. I’d come back just for it. Gabby is one of those waiters capable of remembering ten different food and drink orders without writing anything down. Dinner and a show… what’s not to love?

Sitting celebrating 38 years of marriage there could not be any better place to be with the food so great the cocktails awesome the staff perfect and Sarah the manager doing an amazing job. Dolphins swiming in the lake to complete the picture this spice monkey key is a must to visit
