Spice Alley reviews
60Spice Alley is more about the atmosphere than the food; it's kinda basic mall food, taste-wise, but a variety of Asian cuisine to choose from and prices are affordable. It gets really busy here, and you might not find a table. It's a fun thing to do on summer night.
I think some of these stalls are overpriced, but there is certainly a lot of choices here. Can be very crowded at busy periods and hard to get a table. Still, a fun place to visit.
If you like Asian food and haven't been here, you should go!
The food is great, and there's a different flavor to suit your needs for the day! Plus you can always mix and match to get your fill!
My go-to place for a taste of Asia in Sydney. Much like a food court but set up like an alley full of colourful display of food. Cool ambiance and great hawker-style food. Difficult to find a table during busy time.
Food choices galore but the quality was below average and we sampled a number of stores. Maybe worth trying a few different ones if we go again
Had an amazing time trundling through. The sites and sounds, smells and atmosphere are an experience unto their own without consuming food. But of course, one must eat in Spice Alley.
Excellent environment, the second you enter you'll be surprised by the fantastic murals and rustic decoration.great price for large, filling meals and always a clean spot to book yourself in. Varied selection of cuisines which are served quickly.
Its a Must Visit place for East Asian food lovers. Delicious food and reasonable prices.
The stalls in the back alley are specially worth a mention with good Tom Yum fried rice and pineapple fried rice from Bangkok street food stall and if you continue towards the dead end there are good Mayasian and Singapore food stalls.
This place is a hidden jewel in Chippendale so close to the Centeal station. Good for students and people on a budget.
Landmark: Spice Alley is a lane opposite the Tall building with green plants near Central Station.
Nestled in a tiny alleyway close to Central Station, it's the next best thing to being at a Hawkers market in Singapore. With many types of Asian cuisines to choose from, there is something for everyone. You purchase a plastic card from the main entry (the one selling drinks) which you then can use in one of the many shops. The prices are reasonable and the food is amazing.
Went to pick up my order and when I got toe the car realised they only gave me half me order. Went back to ask for the other half of the order by the time I got there it was just sitting there getting cold and received no apology.
Bit hard to judge during lockdown as most stalls closed but those open looked to have good quality food. Certainly wide variety of choices will certainly revisit
This is a great spot for lunch or dinner! Awesome first date idea. Plenty to eat with cute little shop fronts. Has a spot to buy alcohol if you want a tiger beer with Asian style food. Favorite dish so far was the crispy chicken laksa. It really hits the spot on folder days.
Boring, overpriced food and drink that's half as good as proper Asian grub you'll get for half the price around the corner.
Ordered Mapo Tofu. Served rice, tofu triangles and sweet chilli sauce. An absolute abomination.
Great alley filled with lots of food options. It's really busy on a Saturday night. The prices are reasonable and it has a nice vibe. Really cold in Winter.
It's actually a food court outside the mall with fresh air. From street food to the fine dinning all available in one street.
Variety of cuisine. I tried the vegetable dumplings and they were really nice.
Awesome food court with a range of Asian cuisines. It gets really busy at dinner time so have to get there early!
The hainanese chicken here is pretty amazing however the BBQ pork is a miss here. Also it gets pretty busy here on weekends.
The Asian Hawker style lane way is an awesome dining experience. I absolutely love the quirky artwork that is throughout the Eatery.
There's a good variety of Asian style hawker stalls. However I do find that the portions sizes are quite small for the prices paid. I was quite disappointed with the quality of food as it feels as though they just want to get the food out the door.
Mt first time to spice alley. So impressed by the look and feel of the place. Many good vibes amongst the hussle and bussle. We tried a few different places which is so cool to have that variety. Grab a beer or wine, grab a laksa, dumplings or whatever you feel like and enjoy a really unique experience.
