Specsavers Optometrists - Wollongong - Crown St Mall

Just came back from my contact lens teach session. It was GREAT. I’ve attempted twice before this but both times were quite traumatic. Both Kerrie and the optometrist (I didn’t pay attention to her name as I was taking time to focus, please let me know her name so I can edit the review) were so good in teaching and making me feel relaxed.

As usual Joel and his team at Wollongong were just brilliant. Range of frames is huge and price, service is second to none. Warranty given on specs I had not taken back since purchase as I had unusual problems with a change of script. Highly recommended

I had to visit due to some eye soreness after removing my contact lenses. The optometrists were excellent by inspecting my eyes, making the diagnosis and treatment. They also arranged a referral for a specialist to explore lasik refractive eye surgery. Very professional and supportive service.

James is extemely helpful, competent and made my experience enjoyable. His friendly interaction made me feel loyal to your brand. Like a local family store. I get the feeling from overhearing other clients this is a store or team policy thanks

Amazing professional service during eye tests and eye health tests with full explanation of details of both and a report printed for me to take away. Still the on- going 'deals' that generally confuse me but in a world of half price second buy and spend more to save more it's not surprising buying glasses has similar processes in place when you try to shop.all a bit painful.

Extremely disappointed as a long-standing customer of this store. While the Specsavers frames have never been top quality, it seems that their lenses are now becoming sub-standard as well. Bought Multifocal, top of the range lenses 2.5 years ago. Lenses have now broken down and become heavily patterned to the point where they can't be used any longer. The store seems to think that it could be due to heat (in that case not very suitable for Australian conditions), could have been left on the car dashboard (they weren't as I need them to see) or they simply could have worn out (surely looking through them wouldn't wear them out). Store wouldn't do anything about them as it was outside the 2 year warranty period, but did offer to mark my file to give me a bit of a discount on my next glasses. I can only assume that these lenses have a built-in redundancy feature - in short they have a 2.5 year life expectancy. I certainly expect them to last longer than that! They have not been misused and have been cleaned only with Specsavers cleaning fluid. I have never had any problems with these type of lenses before so there must be definitely something wrong with them.in my view, they're just cheap junk with an expensive price tag! Whatever, I have made sure that nobody from my family will ever buy optometry or audiology products from Specsavers again.there is plenty of competition out there for our business. In the final analysis, Specsavers will experience an exponential loss of business for what should have been a relatively simple fix for a long-standing customer.

Binita clearly enjoys her work and it shows! She really listens to you and has empathy. If you need your eyes tested make an appointment with her! Not only will your eyes be happy but you will leave having felt like you were with a friend. Binita is the best!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. They made my experience with choosing my new frames easy as they listened to what i wanted and were on hand to give advice as to what suited me. The whole experience was a pleasant one and I only need to wait 2 weeks before they are ready.
Highly recommend the Wollongong store.

Dealt with a very nice and welcoming lady who explained everything really well. The optometrist was very friendly and I really enjoyed my time at Specsavers Wollongong!
