I thought I was doing a good thing by leasing my rental property to SCCH and give people in need a good home, newly renovated with a fair rent. SCCH guaranteed that if anything goes wrong they will fix the return my property into its original condition. Boy was I wrong. My place got trashed by SCCH's tenants and SCCH has refused to do anything about it. They are behind rental payments, my property is not lettable now and I am stuck with a growing bill over $15k that I can't afford to pay and I'm falling behind mortgage repayments. Disgusting. God I wished I didn't give you or your clients a chance! TAKE. RESPONSIBILITY.if your clients are complaining about the lack of affordable housing, it is not the fault of landlords. It is YOUR FAULT. YOUR COMPLETE FAULT.

Absolutely disgusting! If the tenants destroy your house, good luck getting any compensation not even a bond! Also lies, lies, lies! Don’t trust anyone who works for southern cross housing because they will LIE on behalf of their dodgy tenant.

Inspections a maximum of 4 times in any 12 month period
Inspections: 7 days written notice: This the law.
Southern Cross wants to do a 5th inspection with 21 hours notice via SMS, no 7 days written notice, no one picks up the phone at Southern Cross

These people have always been polite and courteous to me. Anything I have needed from them they have helped me with. Even went above and beyond to get me the housing that was suitable for me. It must be hard for them having nsw housing thrown at them with what they already had to manage. Thank you SCCH. Appreciate you being there.

Has removed me from my mum's lease randomly and now my mother's gone to rehab they've allowed me to pay $600 rent in advance and then kicked me out called the police and now I'm not here all my brothers n sisters n mum's belonging have been stolen they left front door wide open and windows disgusting see Yous in court

Lack empathy and need training in diversity and cultural issues. Superior attitudes and ridiculous logic. But unfortunately the only option for many desperate people.

This company has extensive communication issues, they don't call back when asked. They do to much community focus on events instead of focusing on being a housing provider, there annual survey is the same every year, it does focus on some important housing issues, the government needs to do assessment on this company and review tenants that transfer over during stock transfer to see if there choice was the right one.

They increase the rent without notifying you and if you overlook it the will increase it again. My rent is now 50% of my income and I'm just glad that I realised.

They try to kick people out all the time for no reason also. Like if someone in the street is being a nuisance then they send the whole street eviction letters. But if one of us Ir even all of us complains about a specific trouble making neighbour then nothing is done.

They are not very nice people for the most part there are a good one or two there what don't like is when they realise your family has died and then offer you a house afterwards when you can no longer help them that is a lower blow by anyone's standards and this seems to be standard practice with these people it happened to another man 6 months before my mother died while I was in the office six months later it happened to me

The team at Southern Cross housing are amazing! They really worked hard in providing a suitable long term accommodation option for my son and I and are still providing support in all areas of living! Thankyou for exceeding my expectations. Great work guys!

Sub standard housing and Southern Cross make their own rules disregarding tenants basic rights. Anti social behaviour by other tenants disregarded.
Southern Cross business model is take your rent money but do as little maintenance as possible.
Private real estate agents will give you more respect and rights.

They r useless I live in a four bedroom house on my own been attacked twice n still can't get a transfer.

A joke I can’t even make an appointment over the phone someone has to call me back 12 months of worry being with Southern Cross community housing it’s a disaster I should contact a current affair
