South West Rocks Surf Lifesaving Club reviews
43I've been to South West Rocks a bunch of times, how did I not know the surf club did food! Pretty rare for a NSW surf club to do food so didn't really think about it. I had the steak and mushroom sauce, sensational! The mushroom sauce could be the best I've had. Very friendly staff (who confirmed the mushy sauce was the best when I ordered). It would be a great view from the balcony in the day time. Top spot!
Have had 3 meals here over last 4 days and can't fault service or meals. The staff have all been friendly, welcoming and helpful. The meals are large and perfectly cooked. We've had the seafood basket, flat head fillets (perfect light crisp batter), prawn curry and chicken schnitzel (large juicy chicken breast with perfectly crisp light crumbs). Great prices and great view.
We were pleasantly surprised by this modest looking surf club. The outlook is stunning, the staff very efficient and well organised and our food was fantastic. We ordered salt and pepper calamari and mussels in a garlic cream sauce. Both were true restaurant quality. What it lacks in ambience it makes up for in everything else.
This was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've had in a while. The view from the absolute beach front balcony is simply stunning. The staff are all friendly, happy, efficient, and helpful. The food is sensational. The cook on the creamy mussels was the best I've ever experienced and they were so plump and juicy, bathing in the creamiest white wine garlic sauce that was delicious. The oysters, so fresh. The salt and pepper soft shelled crab was a little lonely on its own on the plate. Another would have made it better value but was tasty. The garlic prawn skewers were delicious, but the duck spring rolls underwhelming. They were the odd dish of the day. Everything else was superb. The kitchen was quite happy to supply a request not on the menu.
The South West Rocks SLSC is the best place to have a beer and or a meal on the mid north coast! The staff are lovely, the food is always beautiful and fresh and the view is outstanding. I couldn't recommend this SLSC enough, great value for money and honestly the best view on the coast! Thank you for always a lovely visit! I cannot recommend the SWR SLSC enough. If you are looking for a lovely place to have a meal with the best view, this is the place to be - go on, treat yourself!
A fantastic view with food to match. The staff were friendly and the position very central.
Fabulous spot! Dinner on the deck with great wine, lovely food and staff were so welcoming! Highly recommend!
Sitting out on the verandah on a ripper day gives you an awesome view of main beach! Throw in some pretty solid seafood and a classic SFLC menu with some cold beer and you have a winner
Mate…. Forget the restaurant around the corner that sells calamari but tastes like tripe. Asked why it was flavourless and owner explained, ‘that’s why we add the spicy sauce’! We said we ordered the squid, not the sauce.
Surf Club has a limited menu but all we’ve tasted and seen is the best. Quality rather quantity in the size of the menu wins.
Great place to drop in for a drink. Lemon squash for me. The rest, Well. Friendly staff good for a chat.
We where the only ones on the balcony cause they had no room inside the wind was shocking our salads blew everywhere our food was cold definitely not worth $100
Really nice local club, felt welcome with not many tourists in the club. The food was generous, affordable and cooked really well. The staff are all young locals doing a great job. Only negative is no baby change table, i had to take our baby back to the car to change her.would not have expected this in a club.chicken snitty deal with a beer for $20 on sundays.
Great location. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful.
They went out of their way to treat us well. Thank you.we will be back
T Riffic sea food. Chips were great.fresh oil too. Look on the walls and pose.ask the staff. No standing on the Tables
This is SWRs in a nutshell. Great views, great staff and great food. Selection of beverages on tap was good. The view is amazing and food relatively cheap. This is living Barry!
A fantastic place to visit with delicious well priced food. Views are amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful! Make sure you pay them a visit! We will be back!
We had a lovely dinner on a very wet night, so although we couldn't go out on the balcony, we had a nice table with a view down the beach.
All the staff we dealt with were very cheerful and friendly.
We will be back again!
The best in the West one of the best surf clubs I've been to good hospitality beautiful food beautiful staff great beer thank you thank you
Did not get a chance to go into the club as they open at 4.00pm but website states different. Menu is very average.
It's a beautiful view so make sure you get a table on the balcony. The food is decent and service is pretty good.
