16The beach is great but waves / current can be quite strong so sometimes the beach is closed. But you can always swim in the rockpool. Kids enjoyed.

Great little rock pool just south of the surf club. Lap pool and kids play pool with change facilities and parking close by.

A shallow and safe swimming pool for kids and another one to swim. The view is scenic on the open ocean and on the long beach.
Great rock pool with painted lanes which local lap swimmers use, but there's also plenty of space to splash about for those not wanting to swim laps, and lots of shallow section for any children. Also some sand right next to the rock pool, but no shade around. Toilets with showers, and there's also one undercover, but outdoor shower with a tap. You can get free parking on the street, but it's metered parking the closer you are to the pool or beach. The board walk makes an easy walk between freshwater and south curly and if you park in the free section it is only 5 minutes to south curly rock pool.
Im a lucky girl! I live nearby that pool. It's a delight to see my children playing in the water. Such a beautiful beach!

Very beautiful beach. Not too busy even on a hot day. Easy to find a park. Life surf club and amenities. Great surfing. Family beach and rock pools awesome.
Conveniently located at South Curly beach, plenty of parking in the two car parks and non metered street parking. There is a change room, toilet with showers. There is plenty of space to relax and the there is a shallow park of the pool for small children. The pool is completely drained and cleaned once a week in summer. There is a pump to provide fresh ocean water into the pool so the water is always clean. There are six lanes for proper swimming.
A large rockpool that can cater for young and old. Easily accessible with nearby changing facilities.
The best ocean pool we've visited so far. Big, safe for kids, with a variety of depths for all abilities. Warm water, great views, changing rooms, all you need to have fun time. Lots of people, but didn't feel crowded due to its size at all.
Lovely rock pool a bit warmer than Freshwater and North Curl Curl as it has more sun exposure during the day. Has a sandy bottom and closes around 6pm
Great for kiddies as South Curl Curl usually has big waves. Showers and change room by the pool and there is free parking on the street above the pool if you don’t want to park in the council car park by the surf club.
Fantastic place to take kids not happy to go into surf yet. Plus going to the end of the pool were the waves crash over the rocks.getting splashed all wet. Kids loved it.
Lovely spot. Great for walking. Dangerous surf at times but good swimming if you stay within the flags (patrolled area). Usually quiet as limited public transport available. A real local area.
