Absolute tranquil, stunning views all around, and amazing staff. Gary holds fantastic sessions. Samantha is amazing inside and out!

Soma Byron is one of the most magical and special places I have encountered. From the beautiful grounds, to the exceptional staff (especially Samantha), my retreat left me nourished with incredible food and connection to self. Everyone to go to Soma once a year at least, I could not recommend it enough.

Incredible! Soma is spectacular, I absolutely loved my experience, from the incredible (and satisfying) food to Garry's amazing meditation course. I am not a natural meditator and he was such a great teacher. I am now so inspired and motivated to make meditation a part of my life, thanks to this retreat. I can't wait to book my next stay, just wish there were more stars to rate with!

Beautiful building and surrounds. Epic sunset views. Lovely place to relax and unwind. I only wish they'd seen fit to equip the bathrooms with doors.

If you have the opportunity to go to beautiful Soma it is a wonderful retreat from day to day life but do make it more blissful with yoga with the gifted Kate Henry and a glorious pottery session with Blanche Alexander by the pool and fire pit.

This place I saw in 'Nine Perfect Strangers' Drama miniseries on Amazon Prime TV as a health wellness resort. So I love this place.

This place is a slice of heaven that you wont want to leave! The land is expansive and nourishing - you feel the retreat vibes as soon as you enter the tree-lined driveway. The interiors are sublime, minimalist yet warm, the beds are like a supportive-cocoon-y-clouds, modern photography graces the walls, and the spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The communal areas are cozy and relaxed with big floor to ceiling glass to soak in THAT VIEW. One of the best places to stay in Byron... Which also has a wonderful pool, an open air deck to watch the sunset, a yoga dome, and beautiful land worthy of a walk through with its clusters of bamboo, and ancient fig tree.

Incredible place to go and reset. You don't get a more beautiful place in the region. Highly Recommend.

It’s clear from the moment you walk in that Soma has been meticulously thought out in both aesthetic and guest experience - the space finds the balance where a modern urban design meets a mindful forest retreat. The room we stayed in had the forest view with a large open window that doubles as an open balcony, absolutely perfect for a lazy morning start or for quiet spot to read a book.

We took a walk around the property, through the rainforest and bamboo to find a 250 year old fig tree. We loved every moment of our stay and can’t wait to book our next trip up to Byron.

We had such a great time at Soma Byron.

We loved the every aspects of the building, interior and furnitures. Bringing outside to inside and seemless flow of the building was just stunning.
The view from the room, outdoor space and pool was just beautiful as well even with this dry condition.
We also liked that there was no TV. We had more time talking.
We strongly recommend this place.

Soma is a masterfully designed haven tucked away in the Byron hinterland between rolling hills, spectacular vistas and a magical forest. Highlights include the infinity pool, yoga dome, the swinging lounge beneath the 250 year old fig tree and the modernist decor. I loved waking up to the sounds of birdsong and came away feeling truly refreshed. Special mention to the breakfast which is a self-serve spread of deliciously healthy cereals, toast, spreads, fruits and yoghurts with vegan and gluten free options.

What an incredible weekend in an incredible place. Just 10 minutes from the centre of Byron but as soon as you drive into Soma, it's like another world. Having my morning coffee in bed looking out onto bamboo forests and listening to the birds was a highlight, as was exploring the property with its beautiful old fig tree and swimming in the fresh water infinity pool. Another highlight was the neighbouring cows who came to check us out every sunset.thank you for a wonderful stay!

Soma is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed!

The house is a modernists dream with not a detail forgotten. Bespoke designed & made furniture right down to the hand blown recycled glass vases, beautiful artwork tastefully hung throughout the house, outdoor fire pit, lush green gardens and an infinity pool to die for.

I will definitely be back!

Was part of the first group to stay at Soma and it was amazing. The property is beautiful, set on a bamboo plantation, with great views across the Byron hinterland. The rooms are spacious and relaxing. The pool was fantastic and the yoga dome was very special. Highly recommend.

We booked Soma for a weekend getaway from Brisbane. Two days later we left (reluctantly!) feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. Everything about the space and the grounds is relaxing, inspiring and peaceful, from the infinity pool to the swinging couches suspended from trees, to the beautiful design of the house and rooms. The other guests were all super chill and its a great environment to meet new people and share stories. We were fortunate to meet the owners, really cool people who have created a very special place. You don't really 'stay' at Soma - you experience it. We look forward to visiting again as soon as we can.
