This place is horrific in every respect.i have no idea how anyone with any kind of standards of sushi could give this place more than zero stars.wow disappointing beyond disappointing.

Went there this Saturday. It was chaos. No longer a fine dining experience. Staff were hassled though trying their best. Seemed sweaty. People running around you all the time. Orders and drinks late or forgotten. Felt like a Singapore food hall. Something has changed here. Food had fizz but no sparkle. Perhaps the atmosphere dampened it. Poor and cheap tasting cocktails. Not a destination dinner by any stretch. The decor now looks drab and unkept. Add to that the $ 35 parking fee. I will avoid for now.

Service was slow, food was mediocre at best, waitress didn't split bill after asking to, the entire tables food came out on one plate. We had no idea who's food was who's. They Added extra food no-one ordered. Charged us for water. Just completely unacceptable for spending $750

The waiter clicked on 10% tips without asking us and that was really weird, and he was looking directly at my friend who was entering the passcode for the credit card, it was quite disrespectful and unprofessional, my friend also felt uncomfortable that the waiter saw the passcode. The food is not what we expected, it doesn’t look the same as the one posted on social media, the taste was average and there was nothing really special on the menu. The dishes that they offer are pretty common Japanese dishes, which you can get it from many Japanese restaurants in Sydney.

Food was good! Favourite was the tuna with crispy rice, aburi salmon was pretty good too! However, the menu is a bit on the pricey side imo. A little disappointed with the service though, I think they are a little inexperience. The waitress who served us food on a plate had her finger touching the sauce and smudging the side of the plate a little. Both our espreso martinis had spillage down the side and weren't cleaned up, made stain on the coasters. Attitude was good though, they're all friendly and attentive.

Terrible service: we stand at the reception for 10 mins and nobody come to us and the staff just ignore us because reception is not their responsibility. We get a table when we stopped the THIRD staff and all the other staff just pass by. NO APOLOGY.they even give us wrong food….
Food: super normal, nothing special and expensive. DONOT waste your money and time here!
Atmosphere: the music is loud and the tables are close to each other, SUPPER ANNOYING!

We booked a table for my grandfather’s 75th birthday upon arrival prue and Arbith would not accommodate our booking and tried to push our group into the private room with minimum spend. They kept trying to push us into the private room and after we saw it was already booked for another group we questioned why he was pushing us into a room that was already booked and arbith said it had been cancelled but that is all he could offer for our group to sit together. What appalling service to deny our booking in the interest of pushing another agenda full of 20mins of lies and manipulation. We didn’t accept the minimum spend room so the manager lost a booking of 16 people and the private room booking cancelled. He ruined our evening and the excitement we all had to celebrate at Sokyo. Worst service.

Been back multiple times already, service and food is always on point. What makes good breakfast great is the staff that delivers the food. Karen served us the few times we were there and her serivce definitely makes the morning better. Definitely worth trying their breakfast if you're around the area in the morning. Mushroom toast and crab omelette is definitely something different to try!

We never made a reservation, however this restaurant managed to place us in the bar area, so we ate at the bar on a high stool! They catered for us and made us feel welcome! Thank you?

The service was amazing, the food was exquisite! The cocktails were amazing!

The sashimi and everything on the menu tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection and well presented!

A nice casual ambience! Loved the vibe! I have been here 3 times now.

Great food, extensive wine list and warm environment. Friendly service with some room for improvement (mainly wine list knowledge).
Overall a great experience and will definitely visit again.

We were expertly guided and advised through the menu. Food was exquisite, service even better. We loved every minute and every bite. Scallop ravioli was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten and the pork belly was delicious. We hope to go back there again.

Its not a fine dining restaurant. Extremely noisy, extremely poor service, very average food. Been looking forward to come here for a long time, and was extremely disappointed. Will not come back!

Brilliant restaurant. We were lucky enough to be served by Adam. He couldn’t wait to tell us all about the menu. He knew every single details about every item and explained them with passion.

You could tell how much he loves his workplace, the food and his colleagues.

The food was great - absolutely perfect but what made it even more special was the feeling we got from every single staff member.

They were attentive and professional but also warm and friendly and it absolutely made our night.

The culture they have created was nothing short of inspirational and it’s so refreshing to see this and experience it.

I look forward to bringing more friends and I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you to Ben and Adam - I don’t know how I’m going to enjoy another restaurant without you.

Awesome service provided by Karina (section waitress) and Johnny and Gustavo (wine servers). Completely recommend anyone to go there and enjoy the food.

Been here around 5 times. Dinner food is always great. I love sitting at sushi bar so I can see how my food was made. Not a big fan of the breakfast though. Could be a bit hard to book for dinner sometimes.

Unfortunately we never had the chance to dine at Sokyo!
Had booking for 9.45pm but was rung at 5.45pm to ask if could come earlier even though had mentioned when booking was coming after Hamilton. When explained this again and expressed my disappointment the manager reluctantly offered to ask the chef if he could keep the kitchen open. This is the first time a restaurant has cancelled on me but if I had cancelled four hours before probably would have been charged a cancellation fee. Sokyo you are supposed to be in the hospitality industry!

The Decor and location are very beautiful, the service was also very good with staff plentiful and very attentive. I came here for breakfast which was included with a hotel suite and had the chilli crab omelette which was exceptional. It was paired with beautifully prepared rice and seaweed and was so incredibly flavoursome I would happily go back there again just to have this meal. We were also provided with a selection of fruit and coconut yoghurt and house baked pastries which were absolutely delicious. There was a custard croissant with berries and a matcha green tea scroll with a delicious red bean paste inside. Prices are above average but the quality of the food is second-to-none and this would be a very impressive location to take somebody for a date or a special occasion. There is a lovely ambiance. Would definitely come here again

We went with the chef tasting menu at $130 per head and the entire experience was extremely underwhelming.

Service had lots of long lapses even though the restaurant was pretty empty at 5: 30pm.

Food was 100% not worth it. They all lacked anything of note especially at the price paid. The sushi and sashimi was on par with Sushi Hub. The corn, prawn, Wagyu and toothfish were edible. We also didn't want the dessert offered and were constantly told that the only alternative option was two scoops of mandarin sorbet. For 130, you'd even call it a cash grab.
