Soames Real Estate Upper North Shore

I’m leaving this review in relation to Nathan’s handling of the sale of an apartment in Hornsby.
I checked the scheduled inspection time on Friday, turned up on Saturday to find the inspection had been cancelled and the advertisement updated (Friday night) as ‘Under Offer’.
I called Nathan to enquire what the offer was but was told that the contracts had actually been exchanged on the Friday.
The offer therefore must have been made around a month prior and the listing not updated.
Poor handling by the real estate. Didn’t do right by the vendor as they may well have received a higher offer.
Would not recommend.

Unfortunately my experience with this company was not good. Difficulties with getting maintenance undertaken, receiving notice to vacate with no reasons provided and then having the property put on the market for rent with a significant rent increase for prospective new tenants and contacted to have open home inspections whilst I was in the process of moving out and before a final inspection had taken place.
Overall a really disappointing experience

AVOID AT ALL COST, extremely dishonest and unprofessional, we've told them on multiple occasions about all the repairs needed in the house, but they are only interested in collecting rent. NOT ONE single repair has been done by the real estate, and every time, they come up with an excuse not to do anything.
DEFINITELY AVOID, NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

The worst real estate I have ever dealt with.
Property manager typical narcissist.very unprofessional.
Refusing to carry out urgent repairs. Giving the run around. Expecting Tennant to fork out money for repairs.

Bought the unit in Waitara many years ago with Soames as the selling agent. When we decided to rent it out, Evonne was assigned to look after our property. It has been a great experience and delight to deal with her through many issues and problems (big and small). Evonne has been excellent and I cannot thank her enough for her effort and prompt actions.

The whole experience has been great! They are quite proactive in terms of finding the right property and resolving any issue afterwards. Our agent Jack Kim has been looking after us and he is probably one of the best agents that we met. Great communication and timely follow ups
