Picked up a pair of inline skates at Skater HQ yesterday. Tom was great helping me choose between sizes and styles. I'm over 50 and its been a while since I've had skates, but don't think this place is just for the hipsters - Tom was great and I'd recommend Skater HQ for beginners, as opposed to that national sports chain that you might otherwise be tempted to go to.

Bought an unbranded blank deck from them and started skating.with the deck for once. It started having some pressure cracks already only after a couple of hours of skating. Talked to the shop to let them know about the faulty deck. The shop advise that the split was due to the wood drying out and not from skating therefore it won't affect the performance of the deck in any way. They suggested to keep skating with the cracked deck until it eventually broke and then they will offer 50% disc off the next purchase. Couldn't believe they have suggested that. Very disappointed.

Cool! There's a workshop in the store. That was my first time experiencing customised service. The shop owner was like a tailor and a blacksmith at the same time. Once I was paired with the perfect size skates, they were then heated and forged to shape them to fit my wide feet in perfect length and width!

Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They answered my endless questions with patience. Fair prices. Great all round experience.

If it's not Tony Hawkes Mom Dad & grandkids running this store it must be a bunch of imposters with just as much experience eh!? !

Such a great place. Staff are so helpful and know what they are taking about. Took my son who had a problem with his scooter fixed it on the spot and even put on the new wheels he had saved up for. Highly recommend skater Hq and the staff.

Absolutely amazing customer service. Went with the family was served by Alex but through out our experience met just about everyone. Even though they were busy, we never felt hurried. They accommodated each of us, very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended if you are in the market for inline skates.

Took my 8 year old to build his first custom skateboard. Had a truly excellent experience. The range of options was extensive and Sam, who helped us, was knowledgeable and friendly. He let my son help with the build and told him what he was doing at each step. Highly recommend.

Spent 3 hours with staff trying on skates just to find the perfect pair.
I'll be back for anymore products or services in the future.

Purchased a Globber scooter on online, easy website to navigate, easy payment. Fast postage and scooter was very well packaged. Very pleased and happy with the experience.

These guys are amazing. Exceptional customer service both by phone or email. Bill was also super helpful with my new skates that were too tight and was able to fix it for me quickly. Super knowledgeable and super friendly which is very rare. Not often I write a review but these guys deserve it. Keep it up!

6/5 stars! Recently purchased some K2 rec rollerblades for my better half and the whole Skater HQ experience was fantastic. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Don’t know how they did it with all the current delays in the post but it arrived quickly as well! Great communication and even better vibes through the whole thing:) recommend highly!

. And she loves the blades! Are as comfortable and smooth as promoted.

Great customer service, very helpful on the phone and via email. Quick processing and delivery (especially considering COVID lockdown). Will shop here again.

Bought a pair of Powerslide Next 80 in Rose pink,
Only to find out that the pair that arrived had its wheels and frame switched out for another colour, in black.

After calling customer support, was told that the the frame and wheels did not come in 4x80.

Either the person did not know the product or tried to deceive us.

Was then later told that they give options to their customers to switch out frames and wheels.

Just a chain of a deceptive experience. From shipping out a customised product that was different as displayed, to be told that the frame and wheels were not stock from manufacturer, then admitting that they switch out their frames and wheels to satisfy their customers.

Then was provided advice, to buy the frame and wheels somewhere else in Australia, because you won't find any. Even try from overseas.

Either nobody checked the product before shipping or was shipped anyways knowing that the skates were modified.

Poor experience. If you're buying online, expect to receive something else.
