SJJA Jiujitsu Academy Parramatta

Best academy that I have ever trained at. Very flexible and easy to accomodate class schedule incluing morning, lunch-time, and evening classes. There is a broad range of students from beginner to advanced, and adding that everyone is very friendly and welcoming on the mats. There are a lot of females actively participating at all levels and a women only class schedule.
Whether your curious about this sport or have been at it a while, I would highly recommend this facility.

We signed up our daughter early December 2022 and very impressed with Professor Jem, the coaches and all involved who run this program. It's amazing and is a very professional but fun place for the kids to go to learn confidence and how to work hard and pay attention. Highly recommend this BJJ school.

My Kids have been going to SJJA Parramatta for more than a year now. The place is maintained well and their coach Jem is amazing and personable. My kids have gained confidence and defense skills during this period. I was pleasantly surprised that he knew each kid's personality while awarding them their belt. Absolutely a great place for kids to train and I am happy to give them 5 stars as this martial centre truly deserves it.

Our son loves training. Coach Jem is so welcoming and really loves what he does. His passion is contagious and I love how the older kids help train the younger kids. When your child is excited to train, you know it's special.

My daughter was one of the first kids to sign up at SJJA Parramatta when it initially opened. We are so grateful to Coach Jemore for encouraging her always and for pushing her to do better. He is very good with kids and he makes them feel that they are worth it and so they also strive hard to practice. Lately, me and my hubby also signed up to join the academy. Coach Jemore is a very fun, passionate and a sensible coach. The sessions are fun, not only did we gain knowledge in Jiu Jitsu, we also gained perseverance, discipline in training, consideration for our partners and gaining the value of family with our co SJJA Parramata team members. Absolutely love this academy. Prof. Jem and Coach Owence have created such an amazing environment for all those on the mats to learn. Plenty of training partners to match your tempo (Either slow and flowing or fast and competitive)

We have both our kids training under Prof. Jem and Coach Liana and couldn’t be happier with their development (Especially when we wrestle at home away from the academy)

My partner also trains within the women’s class along with the mixed classes and loves heading there for learning and getting the sweat on.

My kids and partner have been members of SJJA Parra for a while now and we love it! (I’ve also just joined myself to get fit after having a baby). Jem is so welcoming and encouraging-he creates an awesome training environment. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try a hands on martial art, get fit and make some great friends.

DONT WASTE YOU MONEY HERE, ive been doing jiujitsu for a while and went in to have a look as i moved to the area, embarrassing, made up techniques that are unusable, where did they get their belts,

This is by far the best place to train and learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the area and I have been to a few. Coaches here are phenomenal. They teach really well and genuinely care about all student’s progress and well-being. Environment here is really friendly and supportive. They follow a curriculum here which works really well for me. Also they have a variety of classes for beginners, advanced, Gi, no-Gi, etc.and yes, they do cover takedowns. My compliments and regards to Coach Jem and the entire crew.

Excellent academy for Martial arts. Coach Jem takes pride in teaching his martial acumen to all his students. His family is also totally involved in teaching Jiujitsu and Keinsedo. Kids love their way of teaching.

You could learn jiu-jitsu anywhere (even YouTube!) but it takes much more to develop a love for the sport. With no previous interest or experience in martial art, one by one, each member of our family has signed up and are loving learning a new sport as a family. The SJJA Parra team is led by Head Coach Jemore Santos whose passion and dedication yields a thriving community spirit that is the foundation of every member's success. On the mats at SJJA Parra, you'll get more than jiu-jitsu, but discipline, respect, rigour, support and family.

The coaches are amazing and brings a smile to everyone I definitely recommend this gym to get a sweat on, meet new friends and have fun!

The coaches have been very welcoming from day 1 and I really enjoy training at the Academy. As a beginner, all the coaches take the time to clearly explain the techniques and engage all the students. I have thouroughly enjoyed my time training here and always look forward to the next session!
