SQ 222 Sydney to Singapore today. 16 Jan 2024.
My elderly mother who is 84 is a bit anxious travelling alone.

Linda Tran at check in was an Angel.
She was very professional, helpful and reassuring. She made sure everything was taken cared of and even brought my mother to the business class lounge in the wheelchair. The MAAS, meet and assist service is top notch.

I would like to congratulate the Singapore Airlines team and SYD Airport for having such an amazing team member.

Please congratulate Linda and thank her for us. She definitely went Above and beyond for this elderly lady. You made her day.

Singapore Airlines definitely delivered. World Class.

In direct comparison to the adjacent Air New Zealand Lounge, the SilverKris lounge appears relatively smaller and, at times, more congested. Particularly during peak hours, when the A380 superjumbo accommodates numerous Suite and Business class passengers, coupled with Star Alliance Gold members, finding an available seat can be challenging. The limited seating space may lead to a bustling atmosphere, potentially impacting the overall comfort of the lounge experience.

Despite spatial constraints, the SilverKris lounge compensates with a commendable array of food options and an extensive selection of beverages. The compact food area efficiently manages to cater to diverse culinary preferences, offering a variety of choices for guests. However, the restroom facilities, albeit present, are on the smaller side, lacking the added convenience of shower facilities.

It's worth noting that in comparison with other SilverKris lounges associated with Singapore Airlines, this particular lounge may fall below expectations. While it fulfills the basic requirements, the smaller size and limited amenities might leave travelers seeking a more expansive and feature-rich lounge experience wanting.

SilverKris business lounge on 21 Dec 2023 noon. Packed due to upcoming flight departures, food selection was slightly limited while staff changed over to a lunch menu. Breakfast offering included mini beef pies and scrambled eggs. Lunch menu included Greek salad, Moroccan baked fish, fried rice, chicken thigh in peri-peri sauce. Coffee is available via self- order function using an iPad.

SilverKris Lounge is much smaller than Koru next door which was similarly packed. If noise volumes is of a concern to lounge visitors, we noted the use of the long bench area facing the windows by staff for their break time, one of whom proceeded to watch videos at full volume during his break while seated directly next to me.

There are only two shower cubicles available for use, the cleanliness of which could be much improved. Of particular concern was the mouldy glass ledge used to hold toiletries, highly suggest this is replaced.

SQ 222, Sydney to Singapore! PPS Lounge

WOW, now this is what a lounge should be like!

Serene, Comfortable, not a large but quiet! Very good selection of Food & Beverage!

I am beginning to think the Chef/Chefs should go to SG, and teach the guys how to do it, seriously!

The Laksa was better than any I had in SG, SQ Lounges. I gave it a 9 out of 10, because I am picky, no laksa leaves and the Sambal was a bit weird! Else as close as you can get to the original! Good job!

The Char Kway Teow, with prawns, was almost perfect, but only almost, the noodles were not quite right, a tad thin, and while frying a bit too chopped up, but the flavour was good! The Sambal fitting, should have served the same for the Laksa, oh well can have it all! Still 8.5 out of 10!

Best Espresso of any SQ lounges, only drawback, cup not hot enough, but perfect!

The self service buffet, very decent, dim sum good! The Black Pepper beef amazing, Chicken curry good, but cut too small, taste decent!

Overall impressed!

Wish all SQ lounges were like that, ESPECIALLY IN SINGAPORE!

Limited but tasty food that hits the spot. Staff service fine. Atmosphere somewhat tainted by silly middle aged woman using her phone on speaker.

Very POOR service, had booked assistance for my mother, it came with much difficulty and inconvenience at Changi airport, what is worse is she was not offered food in the 13 hour flight.not flying with them again.

It's not as spacious as Air New Zealand Lounge but it has good decorations. The food is not as varied as well.

Myself and my friend fly with Singapore back in July. My flight from Sydney -Singapore-Zurich-Vienna -ZURICH -VIENNA FLIGHT CANCELED- NO EXPLANATION My friend Sydney-Singapore-Munich-Vienna Munich-Vienna FLIGHT CANCELED My boyfriend & his brother Flight scheduled for 10/10/22 We just learned they cancelled two flights ZURICH -VIENNA /Vienna-Zurich NO EXPLANATION They sell cheap flights and then cancel without a refund- only credit. No worth the hassle- Don't book with this airline

I didn't have enough time to enjoy the lounge, but the food is pretty good, especially the wraps and the facilities are clean.

Bought a ticket from Singapore to Sydney. Then the border suddenly closed so we needed to rebook. But the option to do so on website was blocked and said to contact them either by phone or email. I called the customer service in Australia and Singapore, waited for 1.5 hours but no one picked up the phone. Sent a request ticket but still no answer yet. There's only 9 days left before the flight and we still can't rebook it. So fluctuating. I leave 1 star now until this problem is resolved.

Edit: a customer service lady called me in my mother language, helped me to rebook my flight, 2 days after I sent a request on their website. Her service was very good indeed. So I leave 4 stars now. 1 star minus for the lack of self-rebooking obtion on the website and no one answered my call via their hotline.

It is one of the worst airline that I ever seen, no customer service and long waiting on hold. Such a big mistake in my life to bought the ticket from them. We bought the ticket 2 months ago from Sydney to Singapore on December and even we assigned our seats next to each other as we are a couple. Now 3 weeks prior to our flight they changed our seats without reason and separated us from each other.
At this stage, there is no place left to rearrange seat as all seats have been already booked. Mainly, there is not easy way to refund the ticket back. It designed to end it up with a big loss.
It is too risky to buy ticket from Singapore airline.

We bought our ticket on the 11/11/2021. On the 13/11/2021 you advised us of flight changes of the return leg to SQ8516. We did not understand the impact of that change, until we reached Singapore on the 4/12/2021. We were man-handled and moved from one waiting lounge to another without having access to the airport services, no explanation was given as to why. We were then moved to a low budget SCOOT aircraft. Where we were offered no food or onboard entertainment and treated very poorly.
When your flights are getting changed into a four digit SQ flight number, this indicates a different plane. Singapore Airlines does NOT make their passengers of this. Very poor customer service!

Every trip with Singapore Airlines, has blown me away the cabin is next to none.

The service 10/10 you will never find a crew member unfriendly.

The lounge in Sydney & Singapore are amazing.

You cannot compare them to other airlines. Emirates has nothing on these guys I have flown nearly every other airline and could never find a comparable.

I traveled there on 24 September and due to covid the service is worse. If someone don't know how to order online they will be in real trouble. Everything was closed they totally isolated us.

Always good experience with Singapore airlines.
In the middle of pandemic, not many are flying. But they kept the flights out of Sydney. Thank you, I made it to see my family.
