Simmos Tyres and Mechanical

Towing services proved to be a waste of time. After experiencing an overnight wait, we called to inquire about morning services and were given an ETA of 10: 30 am. After following up at 10: 30am, his response was that he would be delayed multiple hours and couldn't provide a new time, citing new work offers as the new priority. Moreover, he hung up when I sought clarity on his vague and poor communication. I highly do not recommend the towing services!

Never had a pleasant experience here before. Always unnecessarily rude, and have been overcharged multiple times in comparison to other reliable mechanics in the area.
Shame they have a monopoly on the town and have bought out every friendly and good mechanic. Avoid coming here if you can.

Dropped in early Friday afternoon with a punctured fun flat tyre that needed patching - pretty simple job that takes 20 minutes in Brisbane having had a similar issue before. The guy behind the counter was super rude - didn't acknowledge me waiting for about 10 mins, then was unwilling to help repair it or even take a look, stating they were too busy. I ended up having to drive on it to Mullumbimby and thankfully found help there. Don't bother coming here if you're in an emergency.

Last time I dropped my car there they broke my cable to measure the oil temperature and I was told the cable was old. How funny, everything was working until they changed my oil. I was patient and waited for a call to pay myself as I accepted the lame excuse, been waiting for months.
Sorry guys honesty is important for your businesse, defo not recommending locally.

I had a puncture to a large run-flat tyre. In a place like Byron Bay where replacements might be scarce, I brought the car to Simmons and they managed to repair it.

Despite having a garage full of jobs, they repaired it within an hour and got me and my family back on the road.

They were friendly and very reasonable with the few, when they could have charged way more. I would definitely recommend them.

Great work on my car! Granted I didn't like the various surprises I had during my registration service because I really wasn't expecting to pay so much, but I mean.you gotta do what you gotta do and it drove noticeably a lot better! You guys would be my new choice mechanic if it weren't for my having to move out of Byron due to investors moving in. Thanks for the good work A+ service all round.

I was on a road trip from Sydney to Byron where the front tyre was punctured. I went to another local mechanic who couldn’t look at the tyre for days. I called Simmos who squeezed me in that day. Darren was able to source the parts from QLD while there were border restrictions and have us back on the road within 48h. I was super impressed with Darren’s customer service and how he made me feel at ease despite the setback. Thank you Darren! You are a legend

I was on a solo trip from Queensland to Victoria when I stopped over in Byron Bay and had an accident in my i30 in October. As a 22 year old girl who knows absolutely nothing about cars and travelling on my own I was distraught- but the gentlemen who were working kept me calm and assured me they could help- even swapped around some appointments to fit my repairs in so I could continue driving! His name may have been Grant (?) I cannot remember- but an absolute legend. Thank you guys!

Went in there today to try and get a wheel alignment done on my car and the guy standing behind the counter was very rude. Started interrogating me as to why I wanted to get a wheel alignment done - "why do you want a wheel alignment? Is it pulling to the left or right? " I just wanted to get a wheel alignment done because I hadn't had one done in months. Instead of interrogating me how about "sure, no worries. When would you like to get it done? " So I'm supposed to wait until my car starts pulling violently to left or right before I can get a wheel alignment done? Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Professional customer service. Repairs on our car were completed way ahead of schedule and the finished repairs were immaculate. They even cleaned and washed it. It came back looking new. Highly recommended.

Really impressed at their customer service and efficiency. Had some bad experiences with other mechanics in the area and very happy with Simmos!

Excellent service. Such a pleasure to deal with, our car got caught in flood damage and they was so helpful and understanding of our situation. As a mechanic myself I was very impressed in the quality of the service.

Outstanding service, Michael was awesome and really helped me out with getting new tyres and rims on my mitsi after falling victim to the horrible potholes around Byron. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend!
