Silos Estate Berry reviews
72Possibly one of the best tasting sessions I have ever seen to and I have been to a lot across the globe
A fantastic location for your next event. We held my 60th birthday (themed - Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Raj and the team at Silos could not have been more helpful. The venue was perfect, the food was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly, checking in to make sure we and I had the time of my life; and I did! Highly recommend Silos Winery Estate for your next event.
What a wonderful wine tasting experience! The staff brought out cheese and other nibblies as well as a beautiful assortment of wines. Definitely recommend!
Very poor quality simply not as promised all of my guests were not impressed over priced for the meals and more would not recommend
Berry Probus club
Cute little winery along the highway.
Highly recommend stopping in for a quick taste, though the wine tasting took over an hour which was quite slow, still nice though
Excellent wine - the best we've tasted in the upper Shoalhaven - and splendid accommodation, plus incredibly friendly. The location is also perfect - just outside Berry - and it was great to stay at a place with a real commitment to sustainability.
This is a lovely location. We do a lot of wine tastings, without losing site of the wines themselves, your host makes or breaks the experience. When you book, ask for Raj, why, because he is the consummate host. Everything is locally sourced and as carbon neutral as can be, it’s a great story! The cheese plate with fig jam accompanies the wine tasting beautifully. Also dog friendly, Molly Dog loved her time here and enjoyed a drink herself (from the well placed dog water bowl). Now everyone charges for a wine tasting, but Raj donates a percentage to charity, you even get to choose which one by placing the provided cork into one of several charity bins, how good is that! This place is big, on the grounds (but out of the way) are around 8 Tesla charging stations, what a great place to visit whilst your car gets a recharge! After joining the wine club and buying a bunch of of lovely wines, including the Ducks Nuts Shiraz which Is delicious, we went to our lunch booking in the restaurant next to the cellar door. This is a beautiful space under the old Silo’s, food was spectacular as was the service! The wine was an easy choice having just completed the wine tasting next door. We will be back and highly recommend you visiting if in the area! See attached photos. Brett
Raj the man! Silos is owned by Raj. He is so accommodating and friendly throughout our wine experience. We came here with our family and it was our parents first time tasting wine. Raj was very informative and patient. The wines were amazing and we highly recommend this winery if you’re ever down in Berry. Beautiful scenery outside for beautiful photos! We will definitely come visit when we are down in Berry again.
️ Thank you Raj for your amazing hospitality! ️
Visit the restaurant for great food wine service and views then stroll to your cosy accomodation with views over the valley at sunset bring a picnic dinner for your overnight stay and enjoy the wine you bought a generous continental breakfast was provided no need to go anywhere and why would you want to.
We had such a great couple of hours here. Raj was so lovely, we felt so welcomed from the moment we walked in with our Golden Retriever - Winnie. Customer service 10/10. A must visit.
Wonderful experience! Such an intimate time with the owner, very happy with the day and our experience would recommend
Upon my visit we were told to sit and someone would bring us a menu, however we did have to wait awhile for this menu to come to us (the venue was not busy either for clarification). Upon receiving the menu we were served by a lady that came across as though she didn’t really want to speak or serve us. This made the visit feel a little uncomfortable, the wait for the entree didn’t seem overly bad but another waiter/waitress (shaved head unsure of their pronouns) had apologised for the wait for our first dish which was lovely. However following this we had to wait a long time for the mains to come out and was served by the other waitress from the beginning again, who seen we had had empty glasses of wine and didn’t ask until taking our plates away if we’d like to order anymore. Unfortunately this visit to this lovely estate did not live up to the expectations I had considering the great reviews and the star rating, due to having to wait over an hour an half to be served and finish up with meals we did not want to proceed with a wine tasting like we’d planned as we did not enjoy our overall experience to begin with.
We casually dropped into this winery while driving through on a road trip, turned out to be the highlight of our day! Rohan’s service was absolutely amazing. He guided us through a beautiful tasting with a cheese platter (which was very generous). He was so friendly and knowledgeable - even on local tourism and entertainment (Sea Cliff bridge and Catan extension packs). We were lucky enough to have some snuggles with Freya (the resident cat) during our visit. Truly an amazing morning, we will definitely return when we are back in the area. P.s. We popped our sparkling Shiraz while strolling over the sea cliff bridge at sunset tonight (Rohan was right, it really is suitable for any occasion).
Booked at the restaurant and it was not a good experience. Firstly the whole restaurant was covered in flies, dead bees, 0 ambience and was not clean whatsoever. Our waitress was unenthusiastic, unhappy and had extremely poor service (did not refill water, did not know what drinks were offered). The food was average for the high price point. Chicken was dry after waiting over 1hr for all meals to be delivered. Very disappointed. Do not waste your money here.
Very hospitable, friendly host, very well informed on a lot of topics - really enjoyable conversation about wine and anything else! Very nice tasting, with beautiful wines and local produce - and pet friendly too!
Thank you Raj and team!
Wonderful experience. Historic dairy setting makes for great atmosphere. Wines very good and staff fun and engaging.
Restaurant here is not clean with lots of flies. It’s an average looking restaurant with the wait time for the food being more than an hour & the taste is also just average. We wouldnt recommend the restaurant
We went for wine tasting and had the most lovely time. I couldn’t recommend Silos enough! The owners went above and beyond in accommodating us and made our time extremely enjoyable!
A group of 10 ladies visited yesterday and were treated to a wonderful experience with Raj. Raj's wit and knowledge, coupled with the beautiful tasting experience of wines and cheeses, made this our top pick of the day's activities
Loved everything about this tasting experience, from the friendly staff to their cat and dog. It's encouraging to see a business that actually makes an effort to be carbon neutral while still producing high quality, flavourful wines served with a great variety of cheese and olives.
If you're reading this Raj, can you put our corks towards the DV charity? Thanks for your hospitality.
