Shinara Grill & Lounge reviews
51Good quality meat, best priced BBQ buffet in Sydney! Good vibe with lots of young people out for a good night. The place to go if you're a big eater on a budget.
Visited on Monday night for their Korean BBQ. There is a very good range of meats as well as cooked dishes. The hot plate on each table is huge which allows you to cook faster than you can eat!
A nice selection of Cooked dishes including Soup and an area to make your own Bibimbap. I only wish they had a larger variety of Desserts. Overall, pretty good value at $40pp (if you pay cash).
There are not a lot of food options compared to other buffets we’ve been to. The food itself was alright. Considering what we paid (it was around $30pp for lunch all-you-can-eat if you didn’t select the bbq option) the experience overall wasn’t that bad, but I would recommend checking out other buffet options in the city instead.
We just tried this for once and will never return again. Not satisfied with the food. Expected much because of its price but only few choices unlike the other buffet that we use to eat at. No fishcake, japchae is bland, only few desserts and place looks dirty.
A massive scam. First of all there is no BBQ, its just a chicken pot which is probably just dog meat. There is no cooking your own food like a typical Korean BBQ. The description says there is tabletop grills, there is no such thing there.
This place is not even worth $20 per person, let alone $40 per person. Limited options, dry food, and cockroaches crawling on the floor is a no to me.
Meat are always good here. They are strict about the 90min time allocated. Have not had issued about wastage, they always stress the issue when seating customers. We usually take small portions at a time so never had an issue with it
Gas power is not strong enough to cook meat properly. Service is not the best. The food is okay.
Fire is too low, customer service is EXTREMELY BAD, and if you SMELL the meat, the majority of them smell really bad or funny, EVEN THE TASTE, some of the meat tastes funny. At some point, I just stopped eating, as I DONT TRUST HOW THE STORE THEIR MEAT, and was disgusted about the smell, and their customer service
BE CAREFUL!
This is the BBQ place where you look for quantity, lots of selection of food, don't expect service (expect to be warned that your 90 minutes is up, slow gas cook, no charcoal) lots of selection, pre cooked choices, raw and marinated meat, octopus, squid, prawns were not attractive and barely touched by anyone. Minuses: was told that gas setting can't be adjusted and it took a WHILE to heat the plate, don't expect real wagyu, at 70 minutes I was told that I only have 10 minutes left, I'd just ignore it and keep eating until my 90 minutes is up, but I won't be coming back. The place was busy on Saturday night, a bit of a wait to get in.
Price is good, service is a bit cold, and paying before you eat is very strange and also needing to get up every time you want another drink is not very good.
1.5hr time limit which is not enough, and even if you've stopped eating the BBQ is off no one is waiting for the table they still ask u to leave which I felt is a little rude.
Korean food but not Korean staff, and not the usual good Korean customer service that you get from other Korean restaurants.
But if you hungry and have 35$ in your pocket then it's a good cheap feed.
Worst kbbq ever, I went with my family and non of us enjoyed it. It was my birthday and they wanted to charge me for 5 dollars just for putting my cake in their fridge. I asked for the reason and they said it was their policy, then after I showed my displeasure, then they offered to put my cake in the fridge for one time.
The meat does not taste fresh at all, the food was horrible and did not have much taste, the only thing I ate at the end was the beef tongue which was still acceptable but one of them was tasting bad. For a place who is charging 35 dollars, the service was horrible and the experience was bad. I would never recommend going there for dinner and do not waste your money there. I won’t ever be coming back.
My favorite place for Korean BBQ Buffet in Sydney. It is worth trying if you are looking for a BBQ buffet. 35$/ per person with plenty of different meat choices: Chicken, pork, lamb, beef, wagyu beef. I am in love with their crispy chicken and crispy pork. It is fantastic and I always decide to come back more and more times.
Wow lucky we booked the place for 13 pax on a monday evening, got there at 630 and in a matter of minutes the place filled up.great value for money.staff very helpful.we had a great time
I went here for lunch and it was pretty average. I've eaten in quite a few korean restaurants and I would say even though the food was just average, the price makes up for it. Although it was quite dark inside, and you had to choose what food to grab because some were really not that good.
WORST EVER experience! Will never go back or recommend anyone give it a go. Foods are way below average. Staffs are rude with absolutely no manners. Floor and tables are slippery and greasy.
Quality of Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Beverage Variety: 3/5
These guys ae so strict on covid safety for their buffet lines, 1.5 meters apart and must gp up in face mask and gloves.
Services was prompt and they dont charge for grill/mesh swapping like some japanese BBQ do
They so affordable and food is so good, ima gonna take my mum there for her to try it out
Shinara is the finest Korean buffet restaurant in Sydney. They have a wide range of Korean food and the most impressive part is that they taste very good. For a buffet restaurant, they make a good quality Korean food. Highly recommend the chili pork ribs & sweet potato chips. They also let you create your own soup by offering the best Korean soup ingredients. You can also have Korean BBQ (dinner only) if you’re a big eater. For these reasons I give this place the 4 bears
Note: The lunch menu is better
It is a Korean bbq buffet restaurant. It is good value for the price. The waiters were nice. There was a variety of meat, cooked, uncooked, marinated and non-marinated to choose from, including prawns.
The meat was too animalistic for me to eat.
It was not crowded at all, but the staff did not have a good attitude.
I was very disappointed with the lack of variety in the drinks.
It is a cheap and clean buffet. It is simply you get what you pay for. They abide towards the covid rules, has a good ammount of options in their buffet. A little dim for my liking but its a pretty good place to have a cheap meal
