Paul and Mitch - my life savers! After a really unsettling experience with another furniture restorer in the same area, I had nearly given up hope in achieving what I had set out to do for this washstand. You can see the photo of the original condition of the piece, and despite it being beautiful it was too water marked and uneven in appearance for the bathroom style we were going for. The first refurbisher rushed the process, causing some real communication issues and eventually lied to me, saying he couldn’t fix what he’d done (see the yellow looking result in photo number 3). In desperation I tried Paul and Mitch and they saved the day! They listened to what I was hoping to achieve and didn’t mind as we started experimenting that I changed direction a little in terms of colour. They were happy to think outside the box in terms of processes and didn’t make me feel inferior when I was really doubting myself! And look at the result! It has that rustic weathered look but is even and finished in appearance. We are really happy with it, thanks so much guys! Lissa

Excellent and very professional! We are so grateful for the immaculate work done to restore the very old desk we brought from Europe. Our great-grand father's desk was in very bad shape for many decades and we didn't think it would be possible to fully utilise it again. Mitch is so passionate and so thorough! And we especially loved the price - which we thought would be quite high considering the amount of work required but turned out to be very reasonable.

I cannot speak highly enough about the service provided by Mitch. He has beautifully restored two items which have been in my family for over 100 years, to an "as new" condition. Timely pick up and delivery in the price was really good.

I can highly recommend Mitch and his team. He took the time to listen to how we wanted to update the colour of our dining table. He then spent time getting the colour right. Our table had lots of wear and tear also. Our finished table looks brand new and we couldn’t be more pleased. Great communication, reasonably priced, support local!

Sherwood took an old, neglected vintage piece and repaired it, then used their skill and knowledge to bring it back to its full beauty. I can't speak highly enough of Sherwood.

I recently had three pieces of furniture "brought back to life" by Paul and Mitch and their team. All three were sentimental family pieces (not of great value otherwise) with 70 or so years of grime and scratches. How refreshed and great they look now! It is obvious the guys love the work they do. The whole process was so easy for me with the pieces picked up and delivered back within a clear time frame and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend the Sherwood team!

Paul and Mitch did a great job on my twenty year old display cabinet turning it from an almost red colour to a lovely soft oak so happy with it and such lovely guys to deal with a very big thank you.

We had our Oregon table and 10 chairs restored by Paul and Mitch. They lime washed the table top and a matching piece on the chairs. We are absolutely delighted with the results, we have a brand new dining setting, exactly what we wanted. They were easy to deal with, friendly, very professional and kept us informed as to the progress of our job along the way. We would recommend them for any furniture restoration work. Paul and Mitch restored 3 pieces of antique furniture I just inherited from my mother. They had been in my family for over 50 years (but were much much older) and are a beautiful large maple China Cabinet, a magnificent inlaid dressing table and a Duncan Phyfe extendable sofa table. They have been restored to perfection. Paul and Mitch went to great lengths to listen to what I wanted and to really look after the pieces and they now look amazing. I would recommend them to anyone who wants careful and quality cabinetry workmanship. Thank you so much - you have been a pleasure to do business with! We had been storing in our garage an old, worn out phonograph which has been in my wife's family for years. Paul and Mitch were able to masterfully restore the wood, and now this heirloom will be a welcome showpiece in our lounge room. They were friendly, professional and obviously very good at what they do. I would certainly recommend them for future wood-polishing projects.

Paul and Mitch are great. Nice guys, easy to deal with, very helpful. They have done quite a bit of work for me: two carved chairs, one antique carved grandmother chair; one round drop-side table; one leadlight door cabinet; chest of drawers; art deco dressing table. For my partner, Gerry, they have French-polished his oak dining room suite (chairs carved) ; a carved chair; and now starting on two bentwood chairs and a heavily carved bookcase. Still to go: two desks. Everything they've done has come up beautifully and we are both thrilled with the end result - beautiful furniture, beautifully finished (not overly polished) and comfortable to live with.
We heard about them through a fastidious friend who recommended them. In turn, we highly recommend their work to others.
