Shelly Park reviews
44Easy access and a nice fenced park for the small people. A few covered bbq areas also. The ocean pool is usually clear and has a nice sandy bottom with both a general beach area as well as man made ramp and stairs with rails for easy entry. The worst bit is trying to find parking. Plenty of spots but always taken so be prepared for a few minutes walk from a side street, to get to it.
Lovely day out for a beach visit, oarking is always a problem, but good selection of restaurants and coffee shops
Lovely little ocean pool
Key point - no oysters etc to cut your feet whilst in the pool
Toilets and shower located very close by
Beautiful but very rocky. No where for kids to play on sand and too rocky for little ones to swim safely. Best leave this beach to the older folks.
Great place for a visit. Good park, rocky beach, theres pool if you want to swim. Barbeque.kids play ground could have been better though.
Nice rock pool with a little beach. Access to the open water on either side. Toilets/ change rooms built before antiquity but function well and add to the general vibe. It's got a couple of out door showers as well. Nice park with a playground and a couple of seated shelters in the vicinity. It's a steep slope from the top to the rock pool and beach, so best for able bodies.
Nice park and location but some of the picnic table concrete slabs prevent drainage and leave a large stagnant pool of water
Great place with a rock pool. Beach area for kids to play n shaded space and benches sit and eat.
Big seaside park facing Shelly Beach. Large shaded playground. Plenty of shade under mature Norfolk Pines. Easy access to coastal pathway for strolling or jogging - Bicycles not allowed on pathway. Very crowded on weekends and public holidays. Street parking available but you have to be early on busy days.
Nice park with a children's playground, plenty of natural grass, toilet facilities and a small sandy beach. A bit of a slope towards the beach and parking is limited so come early ir catch a train to Cronulla station. A walking seaside track is a must to do.
Great place for a picnic, swim or hang with friends. Great views and lots of space for gatherings. There is a playground here too and very child friendly.
We have BBQ there use their facilities, have hot grill area, free of charge and water aside the stove area, and a table with chairs under the roof cover.
Lovely spot for a picnic or a BBQ, the Rockpool is very popular and great for a early morning swim.
Best place I ever went too with my daughter and friends beach across the road club only 5 min walk
My earlist memories as a child is my parents taking me over the weekends to the ocean pool at Shelley Beach. Now many years later as an adult I'm still drawn to Shelley Beach, sitting in a quiet spot and watching the majesty of the ocean breaking upon the sand and deeply breathing in the salty air. A beautiful part of the world.
What's not to love about this beautiful family beach with rolling lawns, a sea pool and lots of shade. The seaside paved walk is also worth doing for seeing some healthy fit people and cute pedigree dogs. One cat walked by with attitude as well. Good to look at the seaside houses -old new and being developed. Disability access.
Great place for families to gather and relax together. Right on the water but with plenty of grass area and tables to make it comfortable. Pet friendly too, as long as they're on a leash. Worth the effort.
A quieter and lovely beach in Cronulla. There's a BBQ and a rock pool. Good spot for families with younger children.
The park and beach area was very nice. But the women's toilet OMG very disgusting then whatever you can ever imagine. Very messy, no soap and no toilet paper, easily noticeable that there wasn't any cleaning services for long time. A part from that beach was nice and kids play area was very nice and secure.
