Shaffa

Superb. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Fabulous food, a great selection of wines and cocktails, attentive service. But the food is way up the top of that list. Love it.

Absolutely loved our experience from the food to the service at Shaffa! The ambiance will draw you in immediately. I especially love the bar room with the warm lighting and stone walls- it is sexy and romantic. The cardamon negroni cocktail is divine and a great starter is the warm, homemade bread with the hummus. My husband and I both love hummus and make it at home, and this by far was the best we have ever tasted. We did not opt for the pre-fix menu, but rather ordered a la carte. The octopus and the chicken tikka were superb and cooked to perfection! This is definitely a $$$ to $$$$ meal, but you will not regret it. After spending a month touring eastern and southeastern AU, where we had delicious food, this by far was the best meal we had. It was a perfect send off on our last night in AU. The staff was kind, professional and made great recommendations. Put Shaffa at the top of your list, and don't forget to book in advance.

Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful tasting food and drink, nice (if very loud) atmosphere. Just be prepared to ask what all of the Hebrew words on the menu mean:)

Originally booked dinner with Dad here due to the cowardly graffiti attack and wanting to give Shaffa's the $$$. Well worth it and hope more trade comes their way, they deserve it.

We had lunch today at Shaffa restaurant. The food and atmosphere was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We had a delicious dinner at Shaffa. Standouts were the wonderfully light foccacia, the smooth & creamy hummus punctuated by fried chickpeas and the tender lamb on a bed of eggplant puree. Service was friendly and Brandon our server, was attentive and helpful.
The only negative part of the night was our original seats. We were happy to sit at the bar but didn't expect them to squeeze 8 people onto a bar that only comfortably sits 6. Super tight space, we could barely get in and out of our seats. Luckily two diners left shortly and we requested to be moved to the end of the bar. I'd recommend avoiding dining at the bar if possible, in case they still seat 8 people there.

We had an amazing experience at Shaffa…. Excellent food, amazing atmosphere but to top it off our waiter Brandon was exceptional…. Unbelievable service and we loved sharing a shot with you!

Loved the atmosphere, vibe & food! Brandon (our waiter) was amazing, so accomodating as it was my birthday - free cake! Definitely recommend! Going to the rooftop bar when it opens!

Definitely recommend the set menu to try a bit of everything. Brandon was an amazing waiter and was great at pairing wines with the dishes. Food is incredible!

Had the valentines menu here, I must say the place is rather on the quite side of city and is really pretty. During the day It would be an amazing spot to dine.

For the Menu we got on V day however was quite pricy, 120 each with a complimentary cocktail and the food menu was delicious. The portions were quite small and to be honest not quite worth it. 3 entrees 1 choice of Main (to share) was hard to digest.

The music was on the other hand really loud which is all great but probably not the go to for a dinner date.

Service was great, ambience on one of the best servings and value of money medium.

Love the food, the music and the vibe! I sat next to the DJ at the bar. He added more cultural flavour with a few conversations about tunes and menu recommendations. A truely lovely joint.

One of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The food is fantastic and service is so friendly, the unique and beautifully done up venue is an added bonus. I would definitely take someone you wanted to impress here.

We ordered the $95 pp set menu that included various starters and small plates to share and one choice of a main to share. We chose the cod as our main which was fresh and soft with punches of great flavour. The seafood options here were all fresh and absolutely amazing. I highly highly recommend the bread and dips and their octopus! What we really liked was how thoughtfully presented and timed the dishes were. The starter with dips and bread was heavy but it was followed by the most fresh and palate cleansing king fish ceviche.

I also tried knafeh for the first time and I fear my future experiences maybe ruined due to how delicious Shaffa's was! Warm, gooey three cheeses with a not too sweat crispy pastry outer layer and hints of rose water.

Best food ever! The food was beyond amazing and I genuinely think it is one of the best restaurants in Sydney. The portion was generous, food was reasonably priced, cocktails were delicious! Music was great, awesome vibe and nice interior design! My friend and I were so full that we struggled to walk to the train station without taking frequent breaks! Will definitely come back!

Bring your ear plugs! We went to Shaffa last Thursday night for a special family night out. On the plus side the food was very good although a bit pricey. We had the Beef Rump, Pumpkin, Chicken Shawarma, Cauliflower & the Burrata. All presented and tasted well. On the downside we were a party of 5 and had booked well in advance. We were seated at a table that was clearly only for 4 people. On complaining to the manger that we were very squashed, he dismissed our concern and told us that we were seated at a table for 5 & all other tables were booked. Possibly 5 dwarfs but not 5 humans! In fairness when a bigger table did become free we were moved but the damage had been done! As for the music? It was loud. Very loud! So loud that we had to shout at each other. We asked for it to be turned down and it was - but only ever so slightly - so conversation was very difficult. Overall the negativity from the initial too-small table and overly loud music trumped the good food. We won't be going back to Shaffa unless they offer a music free (or very soft) night.

Amazing food and staff were fantastic and very accommodating when we said we had to rush off to a show. We will be back here again!

One of the best brunches in Sydney, with a middle eastern twist. Brunch tasting menu was divine - every dish a 10/10, as were the margaritas. Chefs created an amazing atmosphere whilst seated at the bar! Highly recommend for a new experience!

What can I say. Shaffa really delivered.

Cosy and warm for the winter with a perfect outdoor setting for the summer. Shaffa is the perfect spot to escape a rainy Sydney night as we experienced first hand. What's not to enjoy.
