SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium reviews
77 Too crowded too many prams blocking thoroughfares.
Maybe they should consider family session times for famies with small children and prams. There was no enjoyment in my visit today.
This is ok, it takes about 1.5 hrs to get around. Is very busy in summer holidays. They do set times, so you have to book in advance and only turn up at your allocated slot. This helps the amount of people going around. Still a lot of people. The plaque don't always match what is in the tanks, so was a little confusing. Great variety and there big fish and the tunnels were fantastic so worth that.
The worset aquarium i ever went to it was just throwing your money
it is very crowded the the walkway is narrow
Over the past three years we have visited on four occasions - the last this past weekend, & without fail, they’re Penguin boat ride has been closed. Now, after a week of touting the ride to our 5 year old, we were ushered through at the entry gate & told to be at the boat by 2pm. Shocker - closed again. My son spent the rest of the trip upset & distracted. There are good exhibits & friendly staff so I would never give the place 1 star or anything unfair but don’t expect anything from this place if you want to see the Penguins up close.
Disappointed compared to global aquariums. Also felt unethical they had breeding penguins on show + nowhere for animals to breed effectively in captivity. Very tired up in need of an upgrade + clean.
Had a wonderful visit with a toddler. The best surprise was visiting the coffee shop at the end of the visit.
The catering staff make the best tasting coffees and delicious hot chocolate. They also offerred the most sincere, patient and efficient service for a first time visitor. Thank you for the great day visit.
Has changed everytime we have been there. It is very well maintained, interactive and accessible.
Can spend hours just sitting and watching the fish.
We had a great day at Sydney Aquarium. It was educational, enjoyable and interesting both for adults and children. Highly recommended.
I visited the aquarium with my wife and kid. It was a good experience but we thought the place looked a bit rusty, probably because it is getting older. However, there were many sea animals in the aquarium and some of them were quite interesting.
The place is great. Sadly the penguin ride is close.
It will take more than an hour to finish viewing everything on the aquarium.
It's a great way to waste time while enjoying and learning. Kids and adults will enjoy the place.
Love Sea Life, been a few times. Always think initially its not a good as I remember but by the time I come out thoroughly enjoyed it all over again. Love the underwater tunnels - manta rays, dugong, and the underwater shark tunnel, the barrier reef exhibit and the jellies. Unfortunately often packed with loud, screaming kids though so be prepared. If you have them yourself you won't mind. Currently taking pics (2) as you enter that you're given a scan code to use at the end of your visit that you can see yourself in various backgrounds/backdrops you can send, save and share on your mobile for free which is a nice touch.
Absolutely loved it. Was an wesome sea life experience. Lots of fascinating marine life can be watched here. Here is also Perfect for family adventure and kids as well.
A "Must see in sydney place"
I loved this place, it was my first visit and I'll go again.
Very nice place for a family adventure and fun for kids as well
The tank labels were tv screens that switch displays between one fish type in the tanks and adverts for other parts of the attraction. The vast majority of fishes were not labelled and you have no idea what you're looking at.
I had visited previously in 2003 and was very impressed, now in 2021 it's gone downhill big time!
A fun day out with the family. However, we had to book a time slot to visit which I (wrongly) assumed meant they'd limit numbers to allow for social distancing. Alas this was not the case. Hordes of people streamed in making it impossible to do so. Just keep that in mind when going.
Great aquarium being able to see everything up close, amazing place to take the kids. Awesome location in the heart of Sydney. Not super cheap but worth every penny!
Awesome sea life experience. Photo booth, virtual reality experience and lots of other experiences. You literally will be a glass away from being close to a huge shark. Sting rays gliding right above your head. Lots of fascinating ocean life can be witnessed and all of it within a very decent price range. Perfect if you are looking for family adventure. Must visit place.
My kids absolutely loved it. Its amazing how they remember the facts a year after they read them on the walls. Not a lot of people there when we visited so we were able to practice social distancing.
Very great place to go down if you are a tourist or with your family! It is a bit expensive though, but that is understandable, I heard they use some of the money for Marine Work and Helping Endangered Animals, SO I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY MORE!
Excellent experience! Suitable for kids of all ages! My 16 month old LOVED it! The penguins were her fav! Ample room for prams, people were respectful and socially distant!
