Sea Acres Rainforest Boardwalk reviews
19A pretty place to walk and have the rain forest experience. Cost was $10 for family of 4 reason able. Walk is just over 1km long.
What a peaceful and therapeutic place. I was very lucky and timed my visit well. I felt like I had the place all to myself.
The rainforest walk is flat and easy, and has seating at various spots along the way. Signage along the walk explains the trees there.
Of course the cafe at the end of the walk is very enjoyable.
I love this place. Easy to stop off and walk around in peace. So I got an annual pass. Go as often as you like then. Or meet up with friends for a walk!
Coffee in the cafe, after's.
Peaceful, well I formed little signs about the flora. Good cafe with big windows so you feel as if you are in the forest, also a deck area. Liked the potted natives for $4.
We didn’t paid for the entry and it was very nice and natural. A very long walk next to the ocean.
Great experience and a very easy walk for all abilities, no steps just a smooth boardwalk taking a loop through
the forest. Unfortunately the guided tours were booked out but the self guided tour and information plaques along the way were great. There was a few pieces of tree that were left on the ground after being trimmed with a chainsaw that looked out of place for a natural bush feeling.
We visited to do the boardwalk as a group of 5 with the youngest being 6 years old. Part of the boardwalk was closed for repairs so it was half price costing only $10. It also meant that you couldn't do a single loop but instead walk one way to the construction, then walk back and do the same the other way. In a way it was better as you got to see the plants and fauna from both sides. I would recommend getting the flyer (extra $1) when you buy the tickets as it gives you an overview of what animals and plants you might see along the way. We were lucky that we ran into a ranger in their morning walk who gave the kids a lot more info on the local area. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours in the morning.
The boardwalk has recently been upgraded and is now much sturdier. This is always a most relaxing and rewarding walk.
Great walks in all these parks, but the fees are now becoming a bit of a rip-off! If you another like as in practical with BS. Then 1 rainforest walk is almost the same as another, and to yourself been there done that at the ones I did before. And just done pay to see.
Great peace can be found in this board walk amongst the semi tropical rainforest, with an abundance of trees and shrubs to learn about and wildlife to spot amongst. Will be 5 stars when the upgrade of the walkway is finished, however you can loose yourself for a few hours with ease with minimal distraction.
Nice small rainforest board walk. Calm and refreshing. Welcome break on your road trip. Good cafe. Overall good experience. Value for money.
Beautiful rainforest board walk. Great for the whole family. We saw a snake, a goanna, and lots of beautiful plant life. There are information plaques along the way to tell you more about what you're seeing.
Definelty a good stop off of the highway.only 15 minutes into town.
Not a bad little above ground level rainforest walking platform. Alteration and improvements are currently under way. Need to it as 2 walks 800m return 1 way and 1200m return the other way. Due to current renovation's the price is 1/2 normal price.
Boardwalk was serene with much to see, including some animals which could be spotted along the walk.
What a beautiful asset for the area! It has been a long time since I have visited the area & I was pleasantly surprised by the way the region has embraced the natural beauty & made it more accessible for the community & visitors.
We enjoyed the boardwalk through the rainforest & the kids enjoyed playing spot the birds & lizards. Even my sullen teen enjoyed herself & found several spots to take selfies for "The Gram".
The presentation downstairs was very interesting & informative & the café upstairs was lovely. Even when it started sprinkling the big umbrellas over the tables kept us & our lunch dry. The gift shop was, very surprisingly, not overpriced & they stock a lot of genuine indigenous souvenirs that are made and/or designed by indigenous people.
Great experience walking through the rainforest. Very well maintained and managed property. Our little one also enjoyed the walk and it was very safe. The price was discounted as one of their areas was closed and was under construction. The cafe could think of adding more items for vegetarian choices. Overall a very good atmosphere and experience. The ladies at the kiosk are very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful rainforest boardwalk. Currently undergoing some renovations so the tracks are smaller - looking forward to when it fully reopens
