SE Timber Floors & Shutters

Hopeless hopeless hopeless.

Has taken 5 times over the space of 6 months to organize them to fix my flooring after it has become damaged from the installation. They are so disorganized and do not stick to their word. I will never go with them again.

Our solid timber floor was completed as part of an overall house renovation. Fernando made a number of visits to the site to ensure that conditions were right to progress each stage of the project. The installation and sanding/polishing teams completed their work as scheduled. The quality of work from both teams was excellent. The teams were efficient and friendly leaving the site clean and tidy. We were always informed of the timing of each stage of the works.

Had floors installed by SE timber a few years ago. After unprecedented rainfall and high humidity we had a few issues with the floor. SE timber provided advice and came to inspect the floors. We kept in touch to work out the best approach and they replaced some of the boards for us to make it as good as new. Excellent customer service and communication.

I have been absolutely amazed by the service offered by Iqbal and team at SE Timber Castle Hill.

I contacted Iqbal in a panic and asked of him a ridiculous request - could he source a few metres of floor boards for a repair job within 24 hours prior to a new kitchen going in.

Despite the job being extremely small value, and despite Iqbal and the team clearly being swept off their feet with demand, they made it happen.

Any other business would likely have turned me down politely. I am super grateful and look forward to working with them again.

We had a floor installed in our apartment a number of years ago using a different branch of SE Timber (not the Castle Hill branch). A few years ago, we had problems with the floor delaminating and lifting. The branch we had used denied all responsibility which left a very poor impression. That problem was rectified using a handyman. Recently we have had a similar problem and, by chance, I contacted the Castle Hill branch and discussed the matter with Iqbal who couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged for his colleague to visit our home and review the matter which the colleague subsequently did and was also very helpful indicating that the damage was likely as a result of water penetration below the floor. He suggested various options for us to consider. Considering that we had not used the Castle Hill branch for the floor, I found the assistance they offered very helpful and beyond the call of duty. I would definitely recommend them for flooring requirements one may have.

Walked upstairs and through the door, I walked around the whole shop and tried to get their sales persons attention. But BOTH of them were too busy with a couple who just proceeded with a quote. Seems like they care more about locked in customers then potential ones.
When I walked in, there was no acknowledgement or greeting, not even a look in my direction. Absolutely do not feel welcomed here. When I tried to approach them directly, they told me to hold on a minute, and continue having a casual conversation with their current customer?
They will probably serve you if you're the only people in their shop.

We bought our flooring from SE Timber and they installed it 10 years ago. We just recently had an installation performed by another company of a new dishwasher and they scratched the floor across 6 floorboards. The scratch was highly visible. I rang SE Timber for advice on what we could do to perform a repair or possible replacement. The manager came out that afternoon to look at the scratch in person, he brought with him a toolkit full of repair options and was able to fill and repair the scratch to the point it simply can't be seen. Best of all - there was no charge! Amazing customer service. I can very highly recommend SE Timber. Thank you!

We were browsing at the very early stages of exploring flooring options, and were delighted to find good advice and helpful displays, with friendly (but not oushy) staff.

My handyman recommended this firm to replace my kitchen floor and I am very glad he did. Fernando and the team at Castle Hill were so responsive and pleasant to deal with. We talked through all the options (cork, bamboo, laminate and wood) and I found that laminate suited my situation and budget best.

Just as impressive were the installers who came today. They were efficient, courteous and took real pride in their work.

The quality of the service provided by Fernando (Castle Hill manager who is a hands on type of manager - he's no 'arm waver') was nothing short of outstanding.

The level of effort, attention to detail and overall product advice and service from the entire SE Timber team was something we have never experienced before. We have been renovating our home so we have had a lot of trades people doing work, so we have a good yardstick.

The installation team (the men who laid the floor) were incredible - the quality of workmanship and attention to the quality of the finish was the same: outstanding. The team of three men who came to sand and lacquer the floor were also outstanding. As with the others, their work quality and finish was flawless.

In all honesty, I have not seen this sort of quality product and willingness to ensure TOTAL costumer satisfaction ever. I thought this was an experience lost to history.

Finally, what really impressed us the most was that there were no problems - only solutions to be found and we had a few challenges as one does when renovating. The SE team were not the sort to throw their arms up in despair when faced by a problem - they just sorted it in good time and with good grace.

For example, the delivery vehicle could not get down the driveway and had to leave the wood at the end of the drive, which is about 120 m from the house. There was a lot of heavy timber to be transferred. The solution: SE Timber installers carried it in. On watching the installation team operate, I formed the view that their work ethic remains unsurpassed with respect to tradesman we have contracted.

We recently employed SE timber at Castle Hill to remove and replace flooring at our home. From the moment they quoted through to the completed job they were professional, prompt, reliable and fairly priced. I strongly recommend them for all these reasons and outstanding workmanship. Very happy with my new flooring.

If your looking for flooring there are some much better ones in Castle Hill. Very rude and unresponsive staff. We went in undercover, I couldnt seem to get a straight answer from simple questions. My opinion is to save yourself stress and frustration and avoid this store at all costs.
