I supplied Zak with dimensions for quoting purposes only and assumed he would come out and measure the job himself as any other flooring business would. Zak never came out to measure the room and instead arranged for supply and installation of the carpet based on my information. During the installation, he called to tell me I supplied the wrong dimensions and that the installer needed to do a patch job. When I confronted him and proved my information was correct, he then proceeded to take me on this cat and mouse game for over 10 months. He is yet to fix the carpet he installed incorrectly and has lied to me numerous times about ordering new carpet to replace the dodgy work. This matter is now with Fair Trading. Do not trust Zak or this business if you want an honest job.

Terrible and dishonest business owner. Installed an expensive carpet incorrectly and won’t come back to fix it. We have been chasing him for 6 plus months.

I wish we paid more. In all seriousness, The job was so well done, fit and finished perfectly, Zak was available, and at call, the showroom had real samples, not offcuts. The installers changed installation dates to suit the weather as high-end wool carpets should only be laid in dry conditions. It's these little things that make a great job even better. Complete and open communication all through the process. At a competitive and Honest price. I have seen worse installations at double the price we paid. You won't see your deposit back from Z. R or Floorboards online that's for sure take your time and research honest companies. Floorboards Online is also trying to get you to use a Finance company, after so many deposits un-returned, and changing Business names consistently to avoid debts. Please be aware.

Don't be fooled by the nice shop and initial charming service.
Once they get your deposit you'll struggle to get in touch, called 5-10 times a day with no response.
Full of empty promises, don't believe a word they say!
They delayed our project by 6 weeks by booking install times and never showing up.

We used floorboards online and spent thousands of dollars on floorboards with them. They also made shutters for us. They were great at the start, until we ordered more shutters, paid $1800 deposit and that was over a year ago. I have rung them, emailed them. No response what so ever. Floorboards have also lifted and we sort advise from another company that said it was the glue. They promised everything and delivered nothing. Very disappointing.

Please be aware and take heed of the negative comments on the companies owned by Zak Refai. FLOORBOARDS ONLINE, SE TIMBER, EDGEWOODS FLOORING. Dishonest, rude, and no concern but for what he can get out of you. Money kept, jobs not finished. Unprofessional innuendos A dodger and weaver in the flooring community.

Would like to rate less but not possible, steer clear from them and Zac Refai, plenty of honest and genuine retailers in Sydney and avoid these guys at all costs

I ordered both my floorboards and carpet from Floorboards online.

There were a few issues at first, but the owner or store manager was quick to sort out the issue when he heard about it, which I am very appreciative of.

Both the carpet and floorboards look great. I’m really happy with them.

Does not respond to emails, despite asking for a quote since October and chased up multiple times. Judging from other poor experience reviews, I can see this is one of those difficult trades to deal with, it's probably best to not move forward with it or just make sure you are not dealing with Helen and Zak.

Ordered flooring due to arrive mid July… then it was November and then Feb. I understand covid causes delays, but it’s no an excuse for poor communication. We have our floor ripped up ready to go in time for our delivery.

I asked to cancel the order and receive my money back… still waiting and even after going to fair trading and being told money would be returned by COB, I am still waiting,

Really poor customer service. The shop assistants are more concerned with chatting on their mobiles and each other than helping customers. You're better off going to Aspire Floors which is just a couple of shops away.

Worst customer service i have ever witnessed! Left me homeless for a week, and now 6 months after the majority of the work was completed I am still waiting for the last bits to be finished. Not acceptable! Do NOT use this company!

We are very pleased with our entire experience with SE timber. We were impressed by the final product of the installation of our Black butt Engineered floating floor. The workmanship was high quality and also the customer service staff were responsive to our questions and requests.

Don’t ever deal with SE Timber at Waterloo. All other SE Timber stores are ok because they aren’t owned by Zak.

Recently used SE again (for a third time) as usual outstanding finish along with competitive pricing - highly recommended
