Saravanaa Bhavan reviews
84Excellent south indian cuisine. Mysore dosa, meals are simply super. The new interior changes in restaurant is great. And the robot coming from Kitchen to counter for take away is next level.
Lets start with the feel good factors I am disappointed to say that the Ambience was super hot with No AC, Council should take a note of this.
To add on the staff was super arrogant with seating arrangements with absolutely no plan of seating arrangements especially with two kids around they were arguing baselelly on the point and making us wait with two hungry kids and asking us to let the other people behind to go ahead so that they can fill in 4 seater capacities and ignoring two hungry kids at 20 30 PM.
Lastly the food was awesome but the spoiled mood I am least allowed to say that the family dinner was spoiled thanks to the super understanding and helpful staff.
P. S No apologies we got from any of the staff members and still they were arguing they were right.
Can’t say enough about nice things about this place! Food is excellent, service is very good. Staff are prompt and very friendly.
The place is very clean & nicely set out
Best Indian food ever, there is nothing better than sarvana bhavan. The dosa idli vada are awesome
Absolutely love the food.
Servers are so cordial!
I always visit this whenever I end up near Paramatta.
Wish there were kids drink like apple juice or lemonade on menu.
South Indian Food - Unbeatable
Can’t recommend enough for South Jndian food. Best in West.
Don’t order Indo-Chiness as its not there speciality. That was where I took off 1 star.
For service: Great staff and hospitality at its best.
Great food. Fast service. However, a little on the pricier side. But can’t complain as the quality and uniqueness is there.
Definitely worth a visit when you miss home.
Had been to Hotel Saravana Bhavan (HSB). Been in sydney for a while. This is the best place to get traditional south indian vegitarian food. Loved the food.the service.ambiance. Woww. Had been with my friends.all were dosa lovers and the varties of dosa they served were delicious.
Food quality was below average.not very clean, parking not very convenient very bad experience.not recommend.never going back
A must visit restaurant if enjoy the food from south India. The staff are polite, food tastes good and so is the ambience. Love those Tamil songs that are played.
Very authentic experience and very well developed sense of customer experience.
1) The ordering system is via phone removing unnecessary human intervention in information flow.
2) chefs are well trained and the food was fresh and close to my memories of Tamil food of Chennai region.
3) the manager is very courteous and stops by to chat if invited.
4) the restaurant has reserved car space in the basement at no cost.
5) the pricing was very reasonable for the authentic food and experience.
I will recommend this place over any others.
No doubt the food is good but I just dont understand why the orders takes sso much time? Even the simple order would take like 20 mins
Update 08/06/2021:
Ordered Gobi chilli, Mushroom pepper fry, Mini ghee idli sambar, North Indian thali and South Indian thali.
Gobi chilli and Mushroom pepper fry were good. Mushrooms were not too soft and was crunchy. Gobi chilli had no chillies, but tasted good.
Mini ghee idli sambar was good, as usual.
North Indian thali had roti, dal makhni, mix veg curry, Paneer mutter, jeera rice, raitha, papad and gulaab jamoon and tasted above average.
South Indian thali had 3 puri, channa, sambar, rice, rasam, sweet, kulambu, raitha, dal, veg curry, papad and yogurt. This time, the food tasted average. Maybe because I ordered thali for dinner? I don't know.
There were only 3 waiters to service the whole restaurant and hence, the service was slow.
Update 20/07/2020:
visited again for the special meals. My daughter loves mini idlis here!

Definitely recommend Saravana special meal! All the dishes were good, specially, the special kuzhambu and rasam. The managers too, were very friendly and pleasant.
Last time, I had ordered Mysore masala dosa, Ghee idli sambar, Milagai podi idli and Chilli bajji. While everything was good, chilli bajji was terrible (too oily, cold and too much batter).
Overall, a good place for its typical South Indian vegetarian food!
A slightly crazy online menu, but beautiful amazing food well prepared, simply delicious North Indian thali. Service was exceptional!
Amazing food and service! I have become a regular here, visit every weekend and order deliveries during the week. Be it Dosas or even North Indian curries including Chole Bhature, they are all tasty. Prices are reasonable too. Must try for the best south indian food in Sydney.
I normally visit this eatery that caters a sumptuous breakfast buffet on weekends. Worth it. Have been eating here since 5 years now, never disappointed!
Great food. Shout out to Rohit - He is an exceptional manager and does the job to the best of his abilities. All the best.
Good customer service and friendly staffs, the floor manager is always there with a nice smile and at your service. One of the best place in Parramatta for dine in's. The menu seems bit complicated and pricey.
Excellent. After 3 years since I left Dubai, had great taste of Saravanaa Bhavan food. Food, Ambience and staff was simply great.
1) We ordered 3 dosas and idly today. None of them was warm, let alone being hot. By the time they serve, dosas literally become cold.
2) Second appalling thing.sambar too was literally cold.
3) Idli was hot but as usual, sambar was cold.
4) And the worst thing now - Being a Tuesday they had the offer in which they were giving $25 additional free on $25 dine and discovery voucher. I HAD ALREADY confirmed this by calling couple if hours before going.
AFTER SCANNING MY $25 VOUCHER THE MANAGER AT BILLING LITERALLY DEMANDED $25 MORE. THIS COULD BE THE SAME PERSON WHO EARLIER CONFIRMED THE OFFER TO ME ON PHONE.
THATS NOT JUST MISMANAGEMENT BUT DAY LIGHT ATTEMPT IF ROBBERY.
5) THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE MALE WAITPERSON WHO WAS SERVING DILIGENTLY AND THE ONE STAR GOES FOR HIM.
On my earlier visit to this Sarvanna bhavan, the potato bhaji was stale, but we ignored it and still went today.
Dear Sir, i have eaten quite a few times at Sarvana bhavan Auckland NZ, but the experience there had always been 5 star.
Parramatta branch very disappointing.
