Sama Sama / Kinhboy Barangaroo reviews
45Lemongrass chicken was delish. Barramundi was very average and the sauce tasted only of soy.
Friday night dinner, we wanted to go somewhere not too fancy and more of a casual, relaxing vibe, so I chose @kinhboy_barangaroo and wow, the customer service was on point!
As soon as we walked in, the lady told us it was 3 minutes to the end of happy hour, so she asked us to pick our drink quickly, so we would get a discount! So sweet of her Normally people wouldn’t say anything so they could charge us in full
Loved the food, the outdoorsy chill vibe
The food was delicious, they offered Vietnamese fusion dishes
We ordered ~
~ Oyster
Finger Lime, Tobiko, Wasabi Citrus Mignonette
~ Southside Duck Curry

~ Kinhboy Special Fried Rice GF
Prawn, Chinese Sausage, Pickled Mustard, Mustard Seed
~ Wagyu Shaking Beef ‘Bò Lúc Lắc’ 38
MBS+5, Garlic Shoots, Pepper Sauce
For the cocktails, I ordered ~

My favourite were the oysters, the curry duck & blue moon cocktail but all were delicious
Solo diner here! Was impressed with the range of food items, served very promptly.the 5 spice pork belly was a highlight.made sweeter by a great deal on select cocktails for just $12 during happy hour!
Absolutely incredible restaurant! Best food I have ever eaten I am completely blown away.
Everything on the set menu from start to finish was full of flavour and like nothing I have ever tried before.
Staff were very friendly and efficient with their service.
Will be back for sure!
Poped in sat night around 6. Great service. They advised of happy hour that was finishing in 10 min. Very thoughtful. So great cocktail and yummy food delivered quickly. Will be back for more.have found our new happy hour spot.
We had the chilli lemongrass chicken which was great.
We had crab dumplings which was good maybe 4/5.
The food was delicious and serving portions were generous in nature especially the beef. I will definitely go back, was just disappointed that when mains were finished and asked for the dessert menu, was then informed the kitchen was already closed. It was 9.05pm and we were not advised prior that the kitchen would be closing. Overall service was great and attentive. Thank you.
Some of the most authentic vietnamese food I have had in Sydney. Would definitely recommend this place. Ingredients were super fresh. Amazing service too.
Awesome spot in barangaroo for modern viet. The food, drinks and service was spot on. Staff was attentive and friendly. The banh xeo tacos and shaking wagyu beef were our favourites! Will be returning!
The only dish that can be improved is the DIY pork crackling. The meat was bland, chewy and skin was not crispy.
Absolute gem amongst the restaurants along Wulugul Walk. The food was plentiful and tasty, service quick and the staff simply fabulous. All of that combined with the view and sunset made for a perfect evening with friends.
Go! You won't be disappointed.
This is a great place to sit for a casual drink and I love that there is no pressure to order anything else. The staff were very wonderful. Very accommodating of the fact that we just wanted some cocktails and they kept us all topped up. I highly recommend the yuzu-garita (margarita made with yuzu).
We, visitors from interstate went with family (local) for a reunion/get together. Very busy, service good, staff friendly. Food was delicious. Very impressed
Nice, modern vibe, perfect for a casual dinner or drinks with colleagues or friends. Food was about average. The chefs clearly know how to work well with flavours - this they got down pat But the oyster itself tasted unusually metallic. And the beef tartare was not the best I've had. Service was above average. Would I come back? Probably, but probably more for the drinks and the atmosphere. I'll probably eat elsewhere next time though.
Food to die for, just amazing flavours, recommended unreservedly. Attentive and unobtrusive service. My friends, husband and wife, enjoyed it immensely also. Great food precinct, great location, what an afternoon in Sydney is all about.
Tried the set menu. The corn dish as amazing and really enjoyed everything except may be spring rolls and kingfish ceviche but my daughter liked them.
Small plates, trying to be a street food venue but charging restaurant prices. Too expensive for what we got.
Dropped in for dinner before a show.
King fish ceviche was really good and the service was also good.
Rest of the food was ok. Not bad by any means but not as good as the ceviche.
Dinner for 2 plus drinks - $122
Kingfish Ceviche
Char Kway Teo
Sticky Eggplant
Stone wood Beer (300ml)
Sama-Grita
Sparkling Water
Excellent new menu. Efficient, friendly service. A lot of restaurants to choose from in the area, but we made the right choice.
Amazing place, very underrated! The prawn toast is a must, as well as the mi goreng bone marrow. We have already been back 3 times!
Good customer service
Food was nice, (albeit warm [not hot] when served up and the beer was flat.if the food was hot and beer chilled and carbonated would have given 4 stars)
