Sage Hotel Wollongong reviews
87Absolutely amazing for its price it’s amazing and the view is top notch ultra amazing and I’m suprised how at the time I’m posting this it only has 3.8 stars, I went here to go to jamberoo and it is just to amazing to be here
The hotel is in a great place but that's about it.
Service wasn't great from the start. The rooms are largish but old and outdated. The doors of the rooms looked like the cops had just kicked them in.
The breakfast service was average and who doesn't offer a hot buffet these days? In order to get what is supposed to be the norm of bacon, eggs, simaisages etc you had to order separately and pay extra as well.
I attended for work and got room at a discount and even then it wasn't worth it.
Absolutely awesome place to stay.
I stayed here for 2 nights couldn't recommend it more.
The steak I had was one of the best steaks iv ever had witch shocked me.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Will be staying here on all my trips to NSW from now on.
$500 a night for very ordinary scruffy room with view of a car park. Faded glory, rooms need paint job and good clean. Never again
No shower cap, magnified mirror and a dangerously placed glass shelf in the shower cubicle.
I have stayed at Sage Wollongong twice now for work. It is centrally located with easy access to football stadium, beach and restaurants. The rooms are quite spacious with comfortable beds. The pillows could be better though. The meals in the on-site restaurant are hit and miss. Vegetables can be cool while the meat on the same plate is hot. Good options that I have tried include lamb shanks, duck, coconut caramel prawns, octopus. The pork belly, flathead goujons and salt and pepper squid are not good options.
Thomas the receptionist is amazing!
The venue is a little aged an water beaten, but overall good.
Hands Down Worst Food and lacklustre service ever. Breakfast was inedible after waiting an hour.
Hotel staff were friendly and responsive. Average bed comfort. Rooms are in desperate need of a deep clean; built-up dust everywhere you look, carpet edges, furniture edges to the tv. Bathroom door/ walls are filthy and haven’t been wiped in 12- months or more. Bathroom floors are semi- black from built up grime, benches not cleaned. Room standards do not match the price tag. I’d be embarrassed to be the GM of this Hotel.
Nice big quiet room. Very nice staff, thank you. Could do with a refresh of carpet and chair in room.
The front staff, the room amazing view 1210, brekkie was to die for, go for the waffles, great location should be 4.8 rating not 3.8.
At shower room has some hair, Shampoo, body wash not new one, only half.seems no clean.
Pay $360 one night, feel not for this time experience
Cleaning on this place is very poor… the shower have mould and the overall room cleaning is also disappointing. If you need to stay here, bring your havaianas. I’ve booked Queen and had twin beds. Never staying there again.
Fairly basic hotel with wonderful staff and an ok location. Could do with new beds, air-conditioning that works and some USB and power points near the bed.
Good location but that's about it. Breakfast was not nice at all and if I'm honest a buffet of assortments would have been better. Lazy cooking if you ask me. Bathroom was stocked on day 2 of being there, why wasn't it it ready when we arrived? Room tiny and especially for the price we expected something a lot better than what we got. Room smelt, balcony small and the plastic on the bed made sleeping very hot and sweaty. Pretty sure won't be staying here again
We checked into our room to find piles of dust throughout the hotel and mold throughout the shower. We immediately checked out and was promised a full refund. We rang to get our refund the next day like they told us to do just to be told they’re only refunding one night out of our stay although we were there for 20 minutes.
A nice enough place to stay, right near the beach. Room was fairly standard. I wasn't lucky enough to get a room with a view (but some would have great views). Parking was limited, and don't forget to book a place for breakfast! I was disappointed they couldn't make room for me to have my "included" breakfast, but had a relaxing breakfast at a nice cafe around the corner instead.
Nothing great to say about this place. Thank God there's plenty of other places to eat nearby. Rooms are shabby and the bathrooms could do with being cleaned.
I have been regularly staying at sage since Feb this year. The hotel is nicely located close to the Win stadium and surrounded by some nice cuisines. The beach is in within minutes walking distance. The staff has been very nice and accomodating. The rooms are spacious and fitted with good amenities. Some of the rooms have recently been uplifted bringing a fresh outlook.
Only one towel for two people, no bath mat and breakfast in the restaurant was horrible. Toast too thin so hard and burnt. Rooms are tired and 2 star. For $200 plus a night, it's shameful
