Saddler's Creek Wines reviews
62Absolutely loved my time at saddlers creek! Amelia, Scotty and the rest of the team made our experience delightful. The wines are impeccable as always! It’s definitely one of the top spots in the hunter valley, a must visit if you are in the area!
Saddler’s Creek is an amazing cozy place with great wines! All the ladies were so kind an a big shoutout to John who was really nice and extremely informative of the wines and picked even more sample for us to try. All the wines are very good, but my favourite was the Verdelho) There are different areas to sit. From a beautiful garden to covered tables and an area with picnic tables. There was live music and they have a food truck with very good snacks and food. A fantastic place for wine tasting but also to enjoy a bottle of wine and snacks with friends. Highly recommended!
This was our first stop in our wine tasting tour and it started off amazing. The wine host was very funny, interesting, and made the whole experience feel very personal compared to the other vineyards we visited. Great wine as well.
The best place that we visited in hunter valleys.
John, the best sommelier, and a lovingly guy.
Live song and good food.
Saddler’s Creek hosted my husband’s 60th birthday in their Bluegrass room and made our celebrations an absolutely memorable event.
Nothing too much trouble with slight small final changes, the wine amazing, and the food…. Absolutely spectacular. Hats off to Frank, Wendy, Jonathan, Sam and all the team for a great day!
Great atmosphere and excellent combination between wine, food and Live Music every Friday
Amazing wine tasting & service. Great vibes. Wine and chill was extraordinary. Thank you
An awesome and inviting place to start your wine journey. Scott was absolutely the highlight of the experience here as he was very knowledgeable and patient with trying to help give you the ultimate tour. The venue itself is very laid back and the wines itself cannot fault. Definitely worth visiting when nearby.
I went for the reds tasting. Beautiful place. Amazing customer service with Pauline whom is hospitable, and thorough with her knowledge and recommendations. See you again!
We had a terrific day. The experience of picking was a real eye opener and we very much enjoyed stomping the grapes. The food and wine was also excellent.
One of the best wine tasting experience. A delightful place. The staff Paulin served us and she is the best. We spend almost 3-4 hours there, it was such an amazing place and the quantity served was really good. Will be going again. Never miss this place.
Awesome venue for an after delight of wine tasting and acoustic music, this business also provides a children’s mock tail tasting board.
Just didn’t find the right wine for me at this venue, parking directly out the front for you.
I can not tell you what a pleasure it was to not only visit and enjoy Saddler’s Creek Wines, but to experience their customer service over the past two months.
Back in September we visited Saddler’s Creek as the last stop on our wine tour with Chef Jimmy (an amazing experience where he pairs food he cooks from fish market with the wines offered at the wineries). The grounds are gorgeous, and everything has a charm and winery elegant sort of vibe. We sat under their covered porch, and Scott walked us through their wines.
While all the wine's we tasted were good, the reserves were unbelievably good. The Maria Reserve Chardonnay has a delightful combination of fresh fruit and a nice butter toasted note. The reds by contrast were delightfully jammy, bursting with fruit, and well balanced oaked notes. A surprise was their Wild White, a unique blend of Semillon, Riesling, Arneis and Fiano sourced from the Hunter Valley and Clare Valley regions. The resulting wine had an amazingly well balanced mouthfeel, a bright pop of tropical fruits and refreshing citrus. These wines were exactly what we'd been looking for on our tours in both the Barossa and the Hunter, enough so, that I proceeded to buy 2 cases (a mix of Maria Chardonnay, , and Wild White) and freight them back to the states. (plus a bottle of Wild White to enjoy before we left the country).
The process of freighting the wine back was fairly easy. We completed the transaction at Saddler's wine room, and then they reached out the shipper with my payment and information. The wine took about 3 weeks to get to me, during which Saddler's team were in contact with me all along the way), and everything was well packed. Unfortunately, we had a little mix up, and instead received more Wild White than Reserve Shiraz. After notifying them, they got back to me relatively quickly, expressing their apologies for the mix up.
Due to events in my personal life, I unfortunately wasn't able to regularly communicate with them, but they were wonderfully patient with me as we resolved this through October and November. We eventually worked out an amicable solution, in which I'd say they went above and beyond my expectations (and were incredibly friendly doing so).
Overall, they're such a pleasure to work with, I can't recommend Saddler's Creek's staff or wines enough. If I ever get back to Australia, I'll definitely plan to go back and visit to get more of their great wine (or if they ever start regularly start shipping to the states I'll have it even sooner!). Cheers to the amazing team there!
Fantastic little winery and friendly staff made for a memorable experience. The wines and knowledge of Geoff was great 10/10 service. Will definitely visit again and look forward to enjoying their wines
A beautiful tasting experience at Saddler’s. Scotty is knowledgeable, witty and generous with his time, the wines are excellent and the grounds tranquil. What more could you want?
Friendly staff, lots of variety, something for kids too. Plenty of seating under the shade.
Was so good we came here twice, wine is delicious and John and Scott were both wonderful staff that provided great insights into the wine and helped newbies! Was amazing to feel comfortable and to learn about the wine tasting world
The wine tasting experience at Saddler's Creek Wines was excellent, the best one we did whilst in Hunter Valley. Scotty was so knowledgeable on the wines and what they paired with. We loved the Red Sparkling wine Definitely worth a visit
Scott is knowledgeable about his wines and seeks to identify your preferences. He made the whole experience a sheer pleasure. It was an easy decision to purchase a little something for Christmas to be shared with family
OMG this place is fantastic. Honestly, we had no booking & they squeezed us in. Cant thank them enough. Cath was amazing with her knowledge on wines etc. She was very personable & had a great sense of humour. Highly recommend it although I would suggest booking beforehand as it's very busy. Thanks for the hospitality Cath & Saddlers Creek Wines.
