Saddleback Mountain Lookout reviews
53 Great lookout over the Wollongong Area. Has 3 separate lookout points. But in my opinion only point "A" is worth seeing.
"B" & "C" are overgrown in front of the lookout blocking some of the view. Pesky trees!
There are some unsightly telephone towers on top of the hill which is a little detracting from the overall serenity, but they don't impact the view. At least you'll have phone reception here!
The most striking aspect of Clover Hill is its panoramic views. On one side, the majestic mountains stand tall, their peaks often kissed by clouds, offering a sense of grandiosity and awe. On the other, the serene sea extends to the horizon, its rhythmic waves providing a calming soundtrack to the area’s natural beauty. The contrast between the imposing mountains and the peaceful sea creates a harmonious balance that is rare and enchanting.
Equally charming is the sight of cows grazing leisurely on the lush green fields of Clover Hill. The pastoral scenes are a reminder of the simple, unhurried pace of life here, far removed from the bustle of urban settings. The cows add a touch of bucolic bliss to the landscape, making it a perfect retreat for those seeking to reconnect with nature.
Located at the top of Seddleback mountain. The view of Jamberoo valley is mind blowing from this lookout especially on a sunny day. A short walk from the carpark. The views to Illawarra escarpment and the Illawarra brush are stunning. The drive to the lookout is so beautiful.
What a great lookout. There are 2 platforms that provide incredible views. You won't be disappointed.
I loved this lookout, I saw the sunset there and was just beautiful. 100% recommended if you are around.
Easy access and very short walk
Very easy access lookout.
I guess photos speak for itself for the beauty of that place.
We loved it!
Stunning and beautiful drive up. Many lookouts and Hoddles Track hike worth doing if you have time!
Beautiful view. The northern lookout is the best and the shortest, second best is the southern lookout but a bit steeper. Worth the drive up
The drive up to the lookout was really easy and enjoyable. There is lots of parking and a short path to the lookout platform.
The view was stunning, we could see right up to Lake Illawarra, to the horizon on the east. The highway seemed to disappear and all you could see was beautiful rolling hills and farm land.
It's free, peaceful and beautiful.
No toilets, no picnic area.
Kiama Saddleback Lookout was beautiful and such an amazing place to be. Had to zoom into the horses and take a shot of the scenery.
Good clean facilities, beautiful views and walk, gorgeous picnic spot, especially beneath the tree canapies on the Southern walk.
Worth the detour. You can't really see much from the lookouts because the trees are quite high.but the drive there is beautiful.
Unfortunately came here on an over cast day but will try again when the sun is out. The views were still amazing cos you are so high up. Drive up here is so picturesque as well. 2 platforms to view from. Toilets available as well. Sealed road all the way up and sealed carpark. I saw one picnic table. I even liked looking at the telecommunications towers cos I find things like that interesting
Amazing view and sound facility management of council. Great thanks to council for free entry and road access.
Amazing views of the valley, surrounding mountains and the sea in the background. Winding way up with cattle farms along the way. Just a 1.5 hour drive from Sydney, its a must see on the way to the Southern Highlands.
One of my favourite butterfly catching spots with regular long peaceful walks through the rainforest track. Lovely lookout with amazing views. Defintely worth the drive.
Beautiful place to go visit if you’re in the Illawarra. Even though it was a cloudy day on my visit, the views were still wonderful. There are 3 different lookouts, all fairly easy to get to, about 3 minute walk to each. I love all the countryside and scenery.
Wonderful view giving perspectives in three directions. Excellent viewing platforms. Worth the treck.
Great views, IF you can see them. Unfortunately when we went it was a bit misty, which made the viewing a tad difficult. However, just before we left, the sun came out, so we could see Kiama clearly. If you have binoculars, take them, and try to see the Kiama lighthouse (hint - it blends in rather well). Do all 3 lookouts, non are far from the carpark.
Hidden gem in Kiama. Everyone aware of Kiama blowhole but majority of them has no clue about this spectacular scenic spot. Its only 7 km from Kiama blowhole.a 10 minute drive and you can enjoy the 360 view of Kiama. There are two lookout spots.must watch
