Sacred Grounds Coffee reviews
18Package says compatible with nespresso coffee machine - sure it goes in fine, but there's some design problems with the capsule or material of the capsule as my machine can't extract the coffee. Very inconsistent extraction.
Yummy but our Nespresso machine struggled to keep up a strong flow with these pods, so maybe not so compatible. It would slow down to barely a trickle and struggle to get the required amount out of a pod.
Not as good as Seven Seeds, Coffico or Genovese but still a very good coffee, fantastic aroma and a pretty good taste.
I usually order coffee from coffee roasters but gave SG Breeze a go as i ran out of coffee. Amazingly smooth and low is acidity. If you can get a pack from Woolworths roasted around 4-5 weeks ago, it is simply amazing. My first choice now
Blue and pink packs of grounds were nice, however the yellow were dreadful, the yellow pack did not even brew property in the percolator or drip-filter, was also very watery in the plunger with barely taste.
Your decaf is better than many non decaf specialty coffees. Don't change it!
For those having problems with the grind or bitterness on the other products, buy beans and grind them yourself. You'll always get a better result
Very bitter beans. Packet is hard to open, as another reviewer said. Do not recommend. ALDI beans are cheaper and much, much more tasty.
I have the single origin, Peru. Amazing smell when grinding the beans and a great cup from my percolator. Love it
P.s the bag opened easily!
Pleasantly surprised
I bought the Groover Blend to use with my home espresso set-up. I don't usually buy beans from the supermarket, preferring to try different specialty beans which I order online. Ran out of beans, so instead decided to grab these at my nearest grocery.
I was pleasantly surprised. If you make your espresso well you will be rewarded with a comforting, full-bodied chocolatey cup with some flavour notes of raspberry - in other words, just as they've advertised. The raspberry flavour isn't as strong as Ona Coffee's Raspberry Candy but if I were to think of a fruit flavour in this blend, it's definitely raspberry. It is also a medium-dark roast, which I love as it gives me the complexity of a medium roast with the dark sweet finish of a dark roast.
I've yet to try their other beans but I thought I'd give a shout-out to this lovely company.
I bought the Groover blend and it wasn't that great, I used it in a plunger. Maybe another flavour would be better. The package was extremely hard to open.
Coffee is just bitter as, can't even pass through a espresso machine or a mocha pot. Would definitely not recommend. Bought 3 bags and will be throwing straight into the bin.
Needs work! Your grounds are waaaaaaaaay too fine. Too fine for even a lot of espresso machines. You say on the pack that you could use in a plunger! No way! That would be the worst, the grind is so fine it would be such a gritty coffee. Yea, even with a stove top percolator it's too fine, the roast is already dark so with a grind that fine it's uneven, burns easily and is too bitter, doesn't represent the bean well.
On the other hand, the bean it's self has a decent flavour but the roast is not medium-dark as the pack said, deffinetely dark. And look, I need, I love my strong coffee, but it needs to be balanced, and the grind is way too fine. And this surprises me because it comes from a roaster. I'd check out Jasper's "all around" grind and use that. This grind litterally stops you from being able to use 80% of the coffee machines out there that aren't espresso machines.
Also, I'm specifically referring to your "peru" blend at Coles, but I assume the others at Coles are the same.
The Breezy Blend is delicious, i purchased a couple of bags from woolworths as it was 2 for 1 at the time. Best supermarket coffee I've tasted thus far. Would love if they done whole beans as I'm upgrading my coffee machine soon.
Definitely the best beans available thru a supermarket. Roasted On dates are generally within the 3 month range, and even though that seems a bit longer than ideal the taste is actually quite good and it has quite a consistent flavour profile. Breezy Blend my fave followed by Groover. Definitely recommend giving it a try. Would buy more often if price was lower or a larger, better value size was available as $10 per 250g is a bit expensive.
We are onto our second bag now and loving this locally roasted coffee. Gets us through the day! Cheers Greg.
Great quality and variety of coffee offered. Also the ladies helping me with my order were extremely helpful and friendly l.
The coffee is very good but more importantly it's consistent. The website is easy to use, though the payment system is a little archaic. If you enjoy a great cup of coffee, you should at least try these guys.
Great expert advice on different beans, beautiful coffee. Fairtrade and organic as a bonus. Very much recommend
