Service, location and price were excellent. Great roof top pool. Rooms are old but to be expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is very dated and bathrooms are below average. When you pay $350 per night you would expect a lovely room. Breakfast also very average. Yes it convenient to the cruise terminal but overpriced.

Absolutely amazing place to take in the sites of Sydney. Rooftop had amazing views of the opera house and the bridge, quick walk to the ferries in Circular Quay and plenty of dining options a quick walk away.

The girl who checked us in was amazing, Megan. Exactly what you want for a holiday. Quick, bubbly, excited for our excitement.

Would definitely stay again as a place for a quick trip to get a lot of the sites in quickly and then relax with the opera house in the background while relaxing in the hot tub.

Checked in to the hotel and two hours later checked out due to:
The bath had no bath plug
The bath water did not drain
The bath air extract at eye level was filthy and a health hazard. See attached photo.
The phone in the room did not work for us to resolve these issues
There was no body wash in the room
The toilet was dirty, see attached photo.
The hotel refused to provide a refund even though we did not stay there!

Stayed here for cruise. You are a half block from the cruise port, can see it from roof of hotel.

We had 3, wife, daughter, and I. The room was smaller, but very adequate! We purchased a King Deluxe with Harbour View.worth every penny! On floor 5 we could see the Opera House and even watched our ship, Carnival Splendor come into port.

They had made pull out bed up for daughter and she slept well. Room was a bit dated but as stated before, the hospitality and location made this unimportant.

Shops, restaurants, and entertainment all around the "Rocks District" and ferry shuttle ports was amazing, make sure to try the Pancake House!

Breakfast on-site was amazing as well, just a GREAT experience over all! Especially at the end, checked out with 5 bags, easily walked down the hill to cruise port, and boarded within 10-15 minutes! Highly recommend.

This place is one of the best places I have ever stayed at.
Almost as comfy as my grandma's house.

Visiting from Melbourne, spent a long weekend here. Fabulous location, close to the Quay, train, ferries and light rail. Walking distance to plenty of eateries and bars/ pubs. Staff were lovely, wonderful comfy bed and pillows, very clean. Spectacular views from the rooftop. Thanks for a wonderful stay, willl be back

Woah! I had the best time ever here! Got this hotel for a fantastic rate at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ I like this resort and I'm really grateful I stayed at my favorite place for much less than what I generally pay.

Great stay, comfortable room and great location at the Rocks. Everything easy walk to. Up on level 6 best view.

Good location at the Rocks. Friendly staff, but this hotel is showing its age. Carpets and bathroom need some attention. But, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. 3 stars at most.

The hotel itself needs a lot of work done to it for the price you are paying per night you'd prefer to stay at one of the nicer hotels.
The bathroom was fithy and had a lot of stains throughout and hadn't been clean properly since the last people. Non of the bins had bags in them so you could see the drip marks from the last people.

The sprinkler and fan in the bathroom itself had clearly never been cleaned the dust buildup is a fire hazard.
The comforter on the bed was stained, the windows had layers of dust on them, the fridge wasn't cleaned out from the last people. The power points next to the bed didn't work.
Asked for towels to be bought up as we had none but no one ever showed up.

The room also had a horrible smell to it. - Complained to the front of house staff and I was advised i'd get a call back from a manger regarding a refund for the stay but heard nothing back.

We paid enough to stay here but the room was horrible. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were nice and friendly and the location is good but the hotel itself is really lacking.

We stayed there for 3 days last weekend. I would discourage anyone to stay there. For one, too inconvenient, air conditioning was very hot and we’ve tried to ask the maintenance guy to fix it but he said that nothing was wrong with it and the room we were staying in, it was the best airconditioning that we could ever have. Basically telling us to us to put with it. We wanted to at least be comfortable after going out but this is what we have to put up with. Staff were really not as friendly, would answer questions but not too really happy to help. Although the staff from the dining area was nice. Food is pretty much average.we asked for slippers but said they will not provide any. Just the complete vibe of the stay was quite unpleasant. Room was too occlusive.

So we stayed at the rydges hotel for 3 nights. The room itself was uncomfortable but the spot was amazing couldn't complain. The standard room was very small though the bed was comfortable but the bath was half a size of a human I was very disappointed in that the water pressure was shocking. The TV signal was bad sometimes the TV volume wouldn't work the TV was small. There was no air through in the room so it just got hot and cold every night. There were no dressing gowns for a high class hotle it was pretty disappointing. In the room service department there was no milkshakes I mean what hotle doesn't serve milkshakes? Also it was hard to have a smoke as we always had to go down the lifts and leave the hotle to have one not enjoyable at all.

Staying at the rydges and service has been fine and location is excellent. Room is simmilar to expectations from past reviews, its dated and needs repairs. I was given an upgrade to a room with a view which is nice but the window fittings eg frames are old, ballustrade outside window is peeling and window is dirty. All could be fixed easily. I found a long hair with the hand towels which is definitely not mine as my hair is short. I had to hunt around for tea, coffee and kettle. Not sure why they hide the kettle. There are 2 good powerpoints at the desk but none beside the bed. Also the beside table is lower than the bed so it made drinking tea/coffee a bit hard.
Do not agree with a 4.3 raiting and definitely not a 4 star hotel after staying in a 4.5 star hotel that i could not fault. Would give 3 stars.

Disappointing - Upon arrival my daughter (20) was told I had up graded her last minute to an additional night. So instead of being $200 for 1 night it was going to be $450 for 2 nights - thank goodness my daughter is a smart cookie and whipped out the 1 night confirmation - will not be returning to the Rydges again - sly dog. P. S A bar with 2 seats doesn't constitute a bar in my mind. So many other places to stay in the rocks.

The service was great, and it’s in a great location. The shower had no water pressure at all and the walls were paper thin - we could hear everything going on either side of us all night. We booked a harbour view room and were looking back at the city - no harbour views at all.

Nice hotel for the price. Great location, the area is really nice. Walking distance to the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

The rooms are dated and some maintenance issues identified, however the location and price are outstanding. Rooftop pool area is a great spot for sunrise/sunset with views under the bridge and across Circular Quay.

Hard to say anything positive here. The room I was given looked nothing like the website photos. On level 6, where the roof line slopes in, and more like a converted storage room. Like my old backpacker days in Europe. I literally couldn't stand fully in part of it, it was so small. I went back down and asked for a proper room, and this took almost 30 minutes despite the hotel being half full and it only being 4pm. Even that was pretty awful. Loud air con/ventilation that ran only on high and sounded like a small lawn mower. Windows nailed shut due to heritage restrictions. TV that never turned on even with the buttons on the monitor, just dead. TINY bathroom. (There are reasons there are no bathroom photos on the website). Cheap amenities like instant coffee. They did refund half the price (yes, it was that bad), but still not worth it. There are so many other GOOD places in the CBD. This one is on its last legs.

Stayed here for one night for a work trip. The hotel has maintenance going on and to get to our room we had to take a lift that was on the opposite side of hotel. The room itself was average, it is old and the bathroom was pretty worn out (see pics). Also there are no plastic bags for any of the bins.
Great location, just very outdated.
