Rydges Darling Square Apartment Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable. Friendly reception and we were lucky to get early check in so we could go out and about in the city for Australia Day. I would ask for an ice tray though in the freezer please. We rang reception several times around 7 pm but no response. Breakfast basic but better than the Rydges at The Rocks. Otherwise it was pretty good. Air cond worked well.beautiful linen towels etc

Spent a night here with my partner for our anniversary, such a lovely time! Bridy-Rose at reception really made the trip for us. She gave us amazing bar recommendations and the biggest smiles whenever we came down the elevator. Thank you Bridy-Rose for tolerating my parent’s eccentric self, it was lovely to meet you and I wish you all the best. Great rooms too.

So close to everything very clean large rooms. Very friendly staff. Nothing is to much trouble a pleasant stay 10 out 10 the breakfast was amazing a truly amazing stay

Very nice hotel in Sydney CBD. The room was big with the kitchen. And was very clean. Breakfast was included.

Beware of sneaky charges with the mini bar. I won’t be coming back for my next business trip. Quite disappointing.

There are two front desk clerks who are borrowed from India. They have a very good attitude and are willing to help. They appreciate their service attitude very much.

What a wonderful find. We have stayed at hotel double and triple the cost of this one and nowhere near as good. Entrance is tucked away and unassuming but the rooms are clean and spacious and only a stones throw to everything. Spa was really warm but pool too cold. Would stay again thank you.

Take a shower until there is no hot water!
This is the first time that a hotel has no hot water. It is an exaggeration. It is still a four-star hotel? ? !
Half of the hair is full of bubbles after washing, and I have to go downstairs to get another room card to wash in another room. It's freezing cold!
Bath towels are still broken⋯=
After housekeeping, the bathroom was not tidied up, only the bath towels were changed, the shampoo and other toiletries were not changed, and the super small bottle of shampoo was not enough! The toilet and sink were not cleaned either.
This is the first time I have come across this kind of hotel.
The quilt is useless. The quilt is only spread with two layers. The quilt is super easy to escape. The quilt looks like a lot of dust mites. I have a rash all over the body. It is super itchy, uncomfortable and disgusting!
There are shoe prints on the quilt of the other bed where my friend sleeps. It's super dirty.
The chairs in the room didn't look like they were being cleaned, and they didn't feel clean!
Btw, the design of the position of the shower head switch is quite strange, one is at the head and the other is at the end. I don’t know what they are doing so far away (but this is okay, there is no other point of dumbfounding)
Then there was no wifi on the first day, and it said it would take a few hours to repair it. After a whole day off, there was no wifi the next day.
There is often no one at the counter. When I go back to the hotel on Saturday night, the door is still locked and will not open. I have to go through the small door next to it.
No one at the counter is really amazing.
People who are looking for a hotel really need to think twice

An excellent 4 star hotel with 5 star service. Accommodating, empathetic (understanding about my ADHD) and hospitable. I was supposed to stay 4 days and I stayed for over a week. Loved it.

I went to a party hosted here and had an awesome time! Herman and Huong provided us with outstanding service!

Room is basic but clean. The Chromecast wasn't working, and there's no option to watch or log in to netflix.

This hotel hosted my 20th birthday party recently and they did a fantastic job. The food was excellent and all my guests were stunned by how pristine and elegant the venue was - there were a variety of non alcoholic beverages available (as I picked this venue to save the hassle of alcohol and the ruckus) and the dishes chosen were of fine dining quality and well received by my guests. Fortunately, this venue has a microphone, projector in addition to the hall which had capacity for up to 80 people. It was a splendid choice because they permitted my guests to flitter to the bar outside when they wanted to take a breather and have some more intimate chats away from the music or crowds.

My guests had no problem navigating the venue space and thoroughly enjoyed the party and were served well thanks to the staff. Their flexibility to accommodate to us was very lovely as were given extra table clothes, extra servings of food where the guests inquired (chicken skewers and scallops were the crowd favourites though!) and whatnot. I am immensely grateful and appreciative of their efforts in making my 20th a memorable experience so I will definitely be back in the future! Therefore, I would highly recommend this hotel as a venue for any formal function ranging from a private birthday party to a cocktail event or even a wedding. I will be coming here to host future formal events again and I am glad to have chose this as my venue! My event planner Aryana was also very understanding and spent a lot of time and effort to plan my event, resulting in such an amazing outcome for my event so special shoutout to her, Herman, alongside the other lovely waitstaff and chef for making this celebration warm, snazzy and enjoyable!

I stayed here for 10 days. As an Italian, the service is absolutely not that of a 4-star hotel as we understand it in Europe. Daily cleaning is not carried out and sheets and towels are not replaced: although we also left the sign outside the door, we found ourselves in the evening with an unmade bed, wet towels and no toilet paper. The breakfast, paid for a lot when booking, is advertised outside the hotel as open to all at a cost of only 12 AUD: in fact, the buffet, already reduced in itself, runs out immediately and is not replenished. I strongly advise against this hotel both for those who must stay for vacation or for business.

The room was spacious and had good amenities. Excellent position close to Chinatown and Darling Harbour. The only fault was that the shower/bath was hard to get into and the water pressure was terrible. Good price for the nights accommodation.

Excellent value, fantastic location.
Great serviced apartment in Sydney's CBD. It's an older apartment (but not too old) but everything is quality and the appliances and amenties work fine. Check in was seamless and friendly. I was hardly in my apartment because i was out and about but it was a relief to come back to a spacious comfortable spacious apartment. I'll definitely return to Rydges.

So so satisfied with the experience! The price of the hotel was reasonable and it was in a prime location. Upon arriving, the staff were super helpful and I booked for one night and they even gave us an upgrade from one bedroom to a whole apartment which really made our experience with Rydges. The hotel room was clean and tidy and the indoor pool was beautiful. Would 100% come again!
