Have used Ryan St Auto & Electrical for many different vehicles over the years and supported the business with thousands of dollars and was always pretty happy with the service until recently.
I took my 2015 GXL Landcruiser dual cab 79 series which is a $100K + vehicle in value.
Dropped the vehicle off in the morning to get its new spot lights fitted.
Upon picking the vehicle up that afternoon, there was a noticeable dent in the chrome grille in the same area the spot lights had been fitted. I asked Adam what this new gouge/dent was and he told me that they had not done this and the "Sun had bubbled the grille". I just could not believe the response from the owner and operator of this business, as I had dropped the vehicle off to them that morning with not a mark on it. The rest of the vehicle is near immaculate inside and out.
I then paid the $330 bill for the spotlights and uhf to be installed, despite the clear damage to my vehicle. I already had bought these products myself, purchased online.
Upon taking the vehicle home, I tried to use the new spotlights fitted, they DID NOT even work.
I showed the clear damage to my Parents who have helped me financially with this expensive vehicle, and they could not believe it. They could not believe that this business could not own up to this clear damage that had occured.
The next morning, My Mother and myself went to Ryan St Auto and Electrical to ask what could be done about this damage, Adam did not want to take any responsibility for what had happened or the duty of care of the vehicle while it was there.
We were only polite and amicable to him, however, he then started trying to intimidate us and started raising his voice and swearing at my Mother. We could not believe the customer service at this business and from the business owner/operator.
We then told him we will have to go to Fair Trading to sort the issue out. The complaint is being dealt with by Fair Trading now.
Very disappointing to have used a business and service for many years and different vehicles, to then be treated the way I was.
Not happy with the service or the workmanship and unfortunately in small towns, bad reviews and customer service travels further than good reviews. Will not be recommending to any friends or family.

Electric window decided to pack it in on my way to the coast. I called Ryan St air con and they fixed it up until a part could be ordered and replaced. Service was fast, friendly and reasonably priced.

I took my Nissan Patrol to Adam at Ryan Street after being told by a different local air-con mob that they couldn’t find the issue; that it’d cost me thousands to have my patrol dismantled, and even then they couldn’t guarantee the job would be fixed.

I dropped my car to Adam this morning at 7.45am. He called me at 8am to tell me he’d discovered the issue. Then called me at 3pm to tell me the car was ready to be picked up and the problem solved.

Adam then took 10-15mins to explain the problem to me; what they did to fix it, and why they charged what they did - which was v reasonable.

Ryan Street Air-Con and Auto-electrics provide a stellar service proving successful where their lesser competitors couldn’t be bothered and/or tried to take advantage.

I’m v happy to endorse this business to others. If I have any issues moving forward I’ll be very happy to take my business back to ‘em.

Great service provided for a good price. Had my vehicle back within 24hrs when I was told it couldn't be fixed elsewhere.

Unfair pricing to be expected, what the prices are on shelves, is totally different from the till. Tobacconist is cheating by selling packets under weight, same with Coles, most ingredients are border to expiry date. Doesn't give you enough time to keep, most goods are from China, including the cigarettes and tobacco, fruit shop not in Coles is the only business worth buying goods from, they're cheaper than supermarket prices. The barber is a great personality for those in need of a trim, the restaurants are just ok

We rocked up just before closing time but still Adam went out of his way to help us with our van. He was fast, professional, fair and even let us stay the night on his property. This guy is a absolute legend! I can highly recommend his service and his professional team! So if you are ever stuck in Grafton with your car or van then do yourself a favor and go see him because you won't find anyone better!
