What a Drab dive of a place this is. Extremely dissapointed with the false advertising on Television. Food was below average and they couldn't even cook frozen calamari.

The Albury RSL sub branch. No alcohol or gambling. Purely there to assist veterans in their time of need. These ladies and gents who give up their time, energy and effort are simply amazing. If you're a veteran and you need assistance, come here and you will be helped in whatever capacity the volunteers can assist you with.

However, the above is what the RSL should be doing, instead for some and yes, this is my own experience, it was horrible due to some members who made my life miserable and many others within the RSL and I believe still do. When you make people want to leave an organization that they've helped rebuild up to it's current status? Make people cry? You should no longer be a member of the RLS.

We all have a past we're trying to escape from and most of us are mentally messed up but to be told you can't join as a member by people in Sydney and then even your local people (Who are still amazing, I will say) because it'll cause issues? I'll throw it out there I have a record but either the RSL is for everyone or it's for no one and might as well shut down.

Being told "We can still offer you other support services. " Well, the only service I wanted to to become a member. Sorry guys, you're amazing and there are so many that you have helped and yes, that also includes me too but that? Mentally? It hurts so much that words aren't enough and it leaves a mark that simply will never come off.
