Historic hotel with a GREAT location right on the Quay. Within walking distance to train and cruise port. Reasonable rates, comfortable accommodations.

I was having breakfast with my family (my husband’s a member) & my 2 year old needed a nappy change. I asked the waiter Wayne if there was a change table in the building to which he replied “No, this is a men’s club”
I found myself thinking I’m sure the women members would be disappointed to hear this so called fact.
No wonder the place is looking old, tired & essentially dated. It’s such a shame as I’m sure it was glorious in its day.
The whole place needs a refresh if it is to survive! Including the staff, policy & ideals.

Went to a work function here on a Saturday night.
The food was good but service was really slow. I think it's because they didn't have enough staff for the amount of guests and some of the staff are new.
The place was hot on a cold night and cramped.
The place has a nice old world charm & is lovely.

Very bad experience with the restaurant and the bar.
The quality of the food was normal for the prices they offer, while the service was far from satisfactory. The staff seemed disinterested and untrained, providing lackluster assistance throughout the evening. Their knowledge about the menu was limited, leaving me with unanswered questions and a sense of confusion. It was evident that the level of attention and care provided to guests was severely lacking.
Moreover, at the bar, we asked 3 times for the same drink but haven't been considered, so we left. Not recommended

Attended a function here which lasts all day. Function started at 10am and about midday we were told that no food is being served at all but we are welcome to walk to Circular Quay (in a pouring rain) where we can purchase Subway or Burger King products and bring them back!
Most disappointing and most ridiculous private club I’ve ever visited. And they had a dress code for us! Right you are, I’ll get dressed up to munch on Whoppers at your club.

A great place to play Backgammon on the 1st Saturday of every month. See Sydney Backgammon Club's website for details.

The Royal Automobile Club is "The Last Bastion of Impeccable Manners"
furthermore, It is a "Clearing House for Conscience, Intellect and Good Taste"
We now have a wonderful newly minted C. E. O. Mr David Fischer.
David, I believe will turn the water into wine as he navigates the club through 2023 and beyond.

This hidden sanctuary has not been discovered by many. A preserve from the city, right in the heart of it. Not many know of it or have been there. If you have a chance to visit or become a member, I highly recommend it.

The harbour dining food is on par with other more well known restaurants, the steaks are prime, the wine list is extensive and well maintained.

A wonderful old worldly peaceful place. How wonderful it still exists, all similar places have been demolished. Great delicious food.

Stayed three nights in Jan 2020 on arrival from LHR. Rooms were a bit outdated, but plan to stay in 2023.

Classy and beautiful old building. Staff are very respectful and professional. Food is always excellent!

Visited for all expenses pre-paid Xmas lunch. Was seated at our table and asked what drinks we wanted. When all 7 drinks arrived we were asked to pay for them because our package “apparently” only started at 12.30pm.which was literally only 2 minutes later. Obviously I didn’t want to make a scene but though this was very sneaky behaviour on behalf of the staff/organizer.

Very lovely evening at the RAC. A special ticketed event of food and wine pairing. Terrific food from Chef.

I stay at the club whenever we are in town. There are not many places where you can get a great room overlooking circular quay so wonderfully central to everything in the city.the building was constructed in 1925 or so and inside it looks like it would have back then. It is certainly not a modern venue but it really is walking back into the old world.
The best thing about the club however is the service. From the Garage in the basement to the restaurant on the top floor the staff just cannot do enough to help out.

Very refined, lovely ambience, food was cooked to perfection, there is a lovely painting of the front of the club and vintage cars, in the reception area. A lot of interesting photographic artifacts in the dining room. Extensive wine menu. Dining room a little cold (it was winter time), parking nearby a bit expensive but that’s how it is in the CBD and a First World Problem:) A great place for an intimate first dinner date.

As a wedding planner, I work with some of the best venues in Sydney.
It is so refreshing to find a venue that puts their couples front and centre.
The team at RACA have been a joy to work with. Nothing is any trouble.
On the day, the reception was set up to perfection hours before we were due to commence. The wait-staff we impressive to watch and the food was superb! My couple and their guests had the most wonderful evening. Thank you to the entire team at RACA and especially to Yvonne and Shibli.

This place is a blast in the past and back to the imperial days. I had flash backs of being back in London and visit old establishments. Even the smell is very familiar. This place is Definately worth a visit and even has spaces for conferences and accomodation. The war memorabilia is also very interning with some amazing pieces to view. Definately takes you back to a place that is pre- Australia! GOD save the Queen!

RAC's location is very central and offers an easy option for members to stay the night and have their business meetings at a relaxing environment with very good breakfast, lunch and dinner choices

Good venue for medium sized function. Glimpse into past British gentleman culture. Good views to Circular Quay from Some windows but air conditioning in some part was hard to get.
