Rouse Hill House & Farm reviews
35Great fun and educational tour for the whole family! We went during school holiday, kids were well entertained. All staff are warm and engaging. Well done!
A very interesting place with passionate and invested staff. While I’d prefer it if more effort was being made to preserve the house, I understand the rationale for this not happening
Original section of Old Windsor Road absolutely delighted me.
A pivotal part of Sydney history.
Amazing historical place to visit, the guided tour of the old house and the school was funny, educational and great for children.
An authentic and meticulously protected and maintained colonial house. The contents are a collection of furniture and general contents enjoyed by three generations of the Rouse family. The guides who escorted us through the property and its surrounds were very knowledgeable and presented the facts clearly and concisely. An interesting and educational outing.
Great outing. Walk around the historic farm, house and school. Open Wed-Sunday and everyday during NSW school holidays.
Wonderful to visit this home and buildings on such a large tract of land. Great guide and we'll displayed interior.
A fun place! We went for the Autumn Harvest Festival. A great day out. The workshops were really interesting. The old house and school house was fascinating. Great produce from the locals.
Disappointing. They don't allow you to walk the grounds due to "snakes" and there really isn't much to do aside from the farm and house tour which is tightly controlled by staff. Beautiful grounds, however no markers have been erected, no effort to identify any of the magnificent trees on the property, or the buildings and their former uses. So much more could be done with this property, but sadly they haven't put much effort into making it an interesting excursion.
I have visited Rouse Hill House and Farm twice. I absolutely loved learning about the history of the place and seeing possessions of several generations. It is a great day out; highly recommended.
We took the kids up here for the Toy Festival. They had many displays, food options, tours and animal feeding. Need to come back again on a normal weekend to take in more of the history. Great place for kids, plenty of parking and great value. Well worth the visit!
Kids were enjoying it thanks to the lady who took care of them. Staff is really nice and friendly.
Visited on a sunny day. Approx 200 year old Rouse house a must see. There are other farm animals and rides kids can enjoy. They provide picnic mats which is awesome. Carry your food or there are some lovely stalls to purchase from. Just be aware of long queues though. Overall a fun day with family!
Great place for a family day out. The kids loved the sheep shearing, old buildings and flying the kite. Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy the surroundings during lunch.
Mix up with the bush tucker experience meant part of it wasn't available. Full refund given though.
Aside from that it's a beautiful place with interesting guided tours around the historical buildings with passionate guides. Kids loved it.
