Ross Hill Wines reviews
22I booked in a wine tasting for 3PM today and it was a really great experience. Our server Kat was friendly, approachable and took pleasure in talking to us about the wines on offer and their backstories. Beautiful wine and lovely scenery, we walked away from our tasting purchasing three bottles at a very reasonable price. Can’t recommend this spot enough!
It was a very welcoming environment with great taste of wines, my recommendation Monocle Tempranillo
Enjoyed a marvellous afternoon at Ross Hill with Ruben Lopez and a Table for 10 lunch. Fabulous food, great cooking and entertainment and excellent wine.
I visited last weekend and it was a pleasure time. Learning about how wine are done and having a taste at the end completes the trip.
Great location, friendly staff and delicious wines. Wins all round! Our kids also loved the kids plate which kept them entertained while we tasted.
Visited Ross Hill Wines today for the $25 tasting with platter. I was served by Lindi who was very friendly and hospitable, and explained the different wines in detail along with many casual conversations. Definitely worth the experience!
Loved learning that Ross Hill Wines was the first carbon neutral winery in Australia, well done James and the team! The wine flight and tasting plate were fantastic. All tasted delicious.
Best tasting we had all day! Very friendly and generous tasting in a lovely environment. Highly recommend
Great experience at Ross Hill Wines. Lindy was so knowledgeable and happy to answer all of my questions. The wine was delicious! Especially loved the pairing with the tasting plate.
What a great winery. The staff were as good as their wines.
We did the tasting flight with a matching food plate. So worthwhile. It's enhanced the wines and our experience
Had a lovely time at the wine tasting. The wine barrel shed was a real surprise - the perfect place for wine tasting and a platter. Ross Hill staff were super, the wine and tasting platter excellent and for those with a 4 legged friend, the winery is very dog friendly. Well worth a visit for wine lovers and just lovers of a beautiful day out. Highly recommend. Thanks ‘Ross Hill’
We had a fantastic time at Ross Hill winery! Beautiful location and cellar door. We are wine novices but Michelle made us feel so welcome and was extremely knowledgeable! Michelle really made the whole experience lovely and went above and beyond to drop our purchases to our local air bnb so we didn't have to lug it around with us! The generous wine tasting was delicious and paired very well with a grazing plate. We walked away with 3 amazing bottles, two of which we drank whilst in Australia and a particularly good cab franc that we saved which survived the plane journey back to the UK! Thank you again for a wonderful time, from the UK visitors Helen and John who visited on a rainy Wednesday afternoon:)
Highly recommend booking a tasting with a tasting plate at Ross Hill. Though I've tasted at a great many wineries, I've never done a tasting where each wine was matched to a food item that best complements it. And what a difference that made, bringing out the best characteristics of each wine, and prompting us to buy a few bottles. More wineries should offer this service. Thanks!
Excellent service and hospitality, even without booking we were accommodated. Nice wines, must try.
Lindi was sensational at our wine tasting, very knowledgeable and lovely to talk too. Highly recommend the wines.
What a find! We were hosted by a lovely lady whom was clearly passionate about her job and the winery. She gave us a detailed tour with a fabulous tasting experience. There will definitely be something for everyone to enjoy
Love the carbon neutral credential, the wines are good too. There are entry level as well as collector range to choose from. The staffs are very helpful.
Really loved the winery tour before our tasting. It was really interesting to see how the wine is made, and to hear how climate change is affecting what grapes can be grown around the world.
Great wine tasting. It was lovely sitting in front of the fire, tasting wine as snow fell outside! It was a very busy cellar door, so I felt we didn't have as much attention from the staff as some other wineries in Orange.
My husband and I dropped in for a quick tasting before having to make the long trip home, however it turned into an hour long event as we were having such an excellent time and were so well looked after by Belinda!
We only tried red wines, and most of what we tasted was purchased. My favourites were the different shiraz wines from both ranges. Thank you James for sneaking me the 2016 Shiraz! After tasting it at Ferment, I knew I had to come to this cellar door.
Will definitely come back with more wine enthusiasts in tow.
Our favourite winery in Orange. The wines are amazing, and the staff are very polite and sweet. We had a great time spending our Sunday afternoon tasting their broad range of whites and reds. Pistol packing momma’s case is a great bargain for that daily glass of wine.
