Roast Republic reviews
29"Roast Republic exceeded all expectations! A culinary delight that tantalized our taste buds with exceptional flavors, complemented by a warm and inviting ambiance. The friendly and attentive staff added a special touch to our dining experience. Five stars for an unforgettable evening of exquisite food and hospitality! "
We chose Roast Republic at random out of a list of other well rated places locally while on Holiday. We were absolutley blown away. Having had a lot of average experiences at highly rated restaraunts in the past, this was a exceptional buck of the trend.
Every individual component of the share plate and mains were cooked to technical perfecrion. The flavour combinations were a journey I was not expecting, but an amazingly rewarding one. The textures of the foods were on point.
A very friendly vibe. The owner seems to be a genuine foodie, and proud of the menu and team (as he should be).
Of all the food we have had in sydney in our 2 weeks, this was by far the best.
Cocktails and brisket were amazing! The seafood pasta was also made well. The tacos was average (missing jalapeño from the photos?).
Nice place and great service and very kind and attentive staff. They were very considerate.
Wot a weird place to eat in a good way tho, a touch pricey but the modern concrete seating area & officiant staff makes up for it. Food was awesome for me but not for my other half.all in all we'll be back.
Awesome soul food and the manager/owner is super friendly. I’ll be back especially for the blackened chicken and coleslaw.
Great little American meat centred restaurant. Service is really good and food is delicious. I hope they can fill out their drinks menu as it has good offerings but is fairly generic. I'd recommend not getting the back table as it exists in air-conditioning purgatory.
A wonderful welcome from the owners, a relaxed modern vibe and amazing food made a really special start to our night before the theatre.
Meals were lovely.the share food good for 4 people only.wine list.it's ok.but could do with some work.good spot.handy to Queen Vic and State Theatre.drinks prior suggest the club in York str around the corner
It is a great place to have dinner in! The ambience and the settings are just perfect. Food is surprisingly good. Had the Grilled Squid, Fried Cauliflower (THIS IS GOOD), Beef Tortillas and shrimp tortillas. I prefer to have all the food comes out in one go, but thats just my personal preference. Will definitely come back to try more again
Food was faultless but the service left a horrendous taste in the mouth. When asking a question the bloke literally said "what is it now" was throwing plates around on the table and was rude the whole night. We thought it may have been just our table until we heard the way he was speaking to other patrons. Tattoos on his forearms, glasses and blading for reference of who I'm describing. Clearly been in the industry long enough to know that, that service effort was absolute dog s**t. Conversely the other wait staff were very friendly and helpful hoping he is a do as I say not as I do type of operator. Will go back for the food providing that bloke isn't the owner I'd hate spending my hard earned knowing it's going in that clowns pocket.
The best place to spend a warm and friendly night in Sydney. Great ambiance, Perfect service with the two guys in service. Good job!
We really enjoyed our time in this place. We will miss you guys!
Don't miss this adress!
A good experience for trying South American food. We ordered slow cooked beef cheek and chicken waffles. I would say the beef was a bit dry. However, keen to try other food next time. Also, they had good Margarita!
The food was delicious, but overpriced.
$38 for three tacos
$24 for 4 wings
$22 for chips
We enjoyed ourselves. The service was great. The food was tasty, but we thought the price point was too high for what it was.
Just had the pleasure of dinner and cocktails here. We had 3 share plates between 2 of us and were full. If you were really hungry you might be able to grab another plate (we considered dessert because they sounded delish but were too full). Impressive food, welcoming and friendly staff and delicious cocktails. A Absolutely recommended!
Amazing food and lovely service. We got 2 share plates and a main between two of us. So we were getting full towards the end but it was well worth it to keep going. And the dessert! Fabulous. Well worth visiting.
Omg the Belgian waffles.yum! I'll be back for dessert alone!
Friend and I had a few share plates and tacos. Favourite was Mississippi shrimp.
We booked on a deal. Had we paid full price I probably would have winced a bit at the bill.
What an amazing find this place has been. The food is impeccable, the flavours are unique and delectable!
Delicious Southern American foods with very friendly service! Foods were so tasty & the portions were generous! They sell coffee as well as cocktails (the cocktails look so good!), perfect for lunch or after work drinks/dinner.
Amazing burger, great chips. One of the best waffle fries I’ve ever had. It may seem a touch pricey but the serving size makes it worth it
Loved the food. Ordered the seafood jambalaya and it was everything it promised to be. Great to have another Cajun / creole restaurant in Sydney. I’ll definitely be back
