Roadhaven Cafe reviews
22I was served by Charlotte, and her manners are absolutely disgusting. We asked for something that isn't on the menu, nothing 6 a plate with snags and eggs. Oh, that's not what we do normally. If you can't deal with customers, don't work here. It's a main stop for travellers and truck drivers and that the way you talk to people. Yiur manners are absolutely filthy.
I just want to say that the plain hamburgers here took me back to my childhood they were that good and just like what I remember from my past. Hamburgers like that are so hard to find. Thankyou for recreating the old flavours.
The lady at the register was very rude. We ordered 4 sandwiches & 4 coffees. The food was just average & the coffee was super hot. We didn’t go back & complain but will definitely avoid this place in future.
Service was fine, food looked decent. 630am and the food was cold, ordered two coffees and I'm pretty sure they just use instant coffee! Don't waste your money on coffee. Disappointing to say the least!
Very slow service. Then coffee scorched my mouth. Never again & was going there regularly
By far one of the worst chicken schnitzel burgers of my life. Soggy, steamy, wet bun. Dry schnitzel, and brown wilted lettuce. The tomato was average too.
The coffee however was acceptable.
Stopped in here for something to eat and drink plus toilet break. The toilets were clean the staff members were friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stop.
Really good coffee here on the day we past through. Bacon and egg roll a little dry in parts as had been in the warmer. Not the fanciest place to stop but will again to see if the coffee was not a fluke as good roadside is hard to find.
Couldn't even say sorry. I havent been to this business in years. I ordered a toasted ham and cheese on Turkish. Sandwich was fine, until my second last mouthfull. I got a shard of hard plastic jammed in my gum. I went to the lady at the register and asked to speak to her away from the other customers. She was lovely and apologised and offered me a refund. She went and told another lady who came out and told me that "they don't have anything there like that" and "what did I want" I told her that I just wanted her to know as I had hurt my gum. She couldn't even say sorry and just again told me "we have nothing here like that"
As I walked out, I caught the other lady's attention and said to her that "she couldn't even say sorry". She apologised again. And I left, without a refund. Come on people, I didnt yell or scream or draw attention to myself. I also don't know where the shard of plastic came from. I do know that my gum is bleeding because of your food. Next time, try being sympathetic and not so defensive.
My favourite place to go. We stop here every QLD to Sydney trip we do and the only time I was disappointed was when my favourite guy was away one night when I got there. Food was still great but sad I missed him. My favourite place to be. Always look forward to my next trip in hopes I get to say hello.
Bacon and scrambled eggs with hot chocolate every time. Always made perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
Ordered toasted ham and cheese turkish sandwich which was hot but not toasted, little filling so was awful. Had wedges which were cold out of bay mare. Would never go back.
I placed an order for dinner just chicken parmigiana chips at approx 8: 20pm, there were a couple of other drivers sitting already waiting, they got there meals and have since left, it is now 9: 30pm I went up and asked where it is and she said she thought all the orders were already taken out. Highly disappointed
Rudest customer service we have ever experienced, thanks to the elderly lady working there and her racist comments to another customer we will never return: (
Food has gotten really bad. Use to be able to get fresh home cooked meals ready to go, now it's a small selection of food that's been sitting for a while and it's mainly deep fried food now. The girls working there have rude personalities and would rather spend 10 minutes making a coffee instead of serving customer's waiting to spend more money then a coffee makes. The spot you order keeps changing so you could be lined up for 5 minutes only to be told they are taking orders at the other register now. Steak is absolutely terrible and they are expensive.
Friendly staff. I just asked if they could make me a simple salad sandwich (no meat), and they made me a brilliant, tasty & fresh salad sandwich!
Paper bags for take away, no plastic. Thumbs up from me!
$4.70 for a small almond latte! Perhaps someone should remind them that they are not a boutique cafe at Bondi Beach or Mosman Village. And if only it tasted even half decent! My past experience with their food has also been downright ordinary. Convenience seems to be the only thing that they sell well.
If you are after real food or coffee, perhaps try out the Hungry Jack's next door or even the servo. I bet you will be better off either way.
I have had 2 bad experiences buying from this place, first time I bought an egg and bacon roll, it tasted okay but half an hour later I felt very ill and then I threw up. I did not feel sick at all before having the roll and I don’t get travel sick.
I thought I would give them another go today and I bought a ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce toasty. It tasted days old. I had to take the lettuce off because it had a really foul taste to it and the bun tasted horrible as well. I used to come here all the time when I was travelling but these last 2 times have been appalling. I will not be back again. The wait time for the food is crazy as well. There is plenty of other places to eat just up the road at Heatherbrae and there is also a hungry jacks next door to the road haven cafe.
Staff service was top notch, You lady went out of her way to assist me with a coffee for my wife.
This was the worst coffee I've had in Australia. Service was slow. I will drive further to find a decent coffee next time.
Ordered toast. Got stale bread that shatters when attempt to slice.can't hide stale bread used for toast.you had one job.
