River Foreshore Reserve reviews
46It is a walk down to the tourism office it is close to where the ferry comes in.but a decent walk and the staff are helpful
My son loves this little park! The only issues are that you can't sit on a bench and have an eye on your child the whole time.its hilly and there's lots of trees and bushes that obstruct your view. I find myself standing and walking around just to keep an eye on him. There also isn't any lighting so going in the evening is impossible if it's starting to get dark.lastly, make sure your kids have made a trip to the bathroom before going because they don't have any there. It's great for kids 3 years old and up since there isn't much for smaller kids to do other than play in the sand pit.
Had a beautiful walk here with a special first date. It was perfect, or maybe its because I was with her that made it perfect?
Nice, however, could be better. Maybe with new councillors, upon new local government election as the current one sucks.
A good evening walk and a small dinner picnic. I had a good time.
Had to be extra careful as the river is not fenced and kids like running towards water.
Nice place in Parramatta to spend time with family and friends. Especially in the evening time.
Unmanaged facility with lizards popping up from almost every ride kids take. Never thought such an area would have something that badly managed playground.
Would be better with more things to do like restaurants or shops but its beauty is reason enough to walk there.
Loved the park, neat and clean. Although there is some construction going on but still enough space for walk, jog anything
Picturesque, relaxing ambiance and a place for all ages especially family and children. A spot to stroll or to sit near the river bank and soak up the sun and the atmosphere. Short walk to the 'high street" with its many eateries and shops and the railway station. Also nearby is the ferry wharf and some nature reserve surrounding this vibrant city of Parramatta. Not a bad place to escape the big smoke of Sydney CBD.
Beautiful waterside walk. Great for families and there is a childrens play park along the way! It would be nice if the waterfront walk was longer, however, it is a nice spot all the same
This is a great place for family.
- Walk and talk along the river side walk in the summer evening (from 8 pm we get free parking)
- This place has flight of pigeons, we love to feed them. Sometimes we could spot Black Swan as well.
- This Park has a small play area for kids
- public restroom is also available
- I love this place after a moderate rain
Lovely place for kids, elders and couples. Its a scenic beauty. All the dove near the waters and ducks swimming around looks serene. There are around 3 games for the kids.
At that time that was just after flooding debris everywhere clean up it would be good for you.
The place is amazing to have a very restful afternoon very well lookafter by the Council workers.
Nice walk alongside River. Sometimes the water doesn't appear very clean as it is still but definitely add to the views.
So inclusive fun for all rather sage as well.a every nice surprise as u unwind walking with all ages along the river.the clean up of the river has sort of come to fusion i do wonder what it was like before we needed to fix the commercial damage.it also explains the traditional owners way and songline very good to see that was the best part for myself
Amazing place to spend some quality time with family or to hang out with friends. Beautiful walk along river, lots of pedestrian bridges. Aboriginal and colonial historical stories posted along the way. Easy access to the Parramatta wharf and eateries. Great playground making good use of river bank. The playground has slide, sand play, water pumps and rock wall. The waterfront adds to the beautiful ambience.
Quiet and peacefull. Very nice to see a very high king tide for the second day on a row.
There are always signs of maintenance being performed.
Watch out the Subiaco boardwalk section will be closed again on Jan 22nd.
